Also, tbh, I feel like Gangrel only does this to piss off/troll Chrom. Like, you know that immediately following the S-Support he bursts into Chrom's tent and is all, "GUESS WHO JUST STOLE YOUR TACTICIAN, LITTLE PRINCE? HAHAHA SUCKERRRR" Totally Gangrel's end-game all along.
+lolololgoodtimes And Chrom cries in a corner because even though he is married to Maribelle in my file, he still wants to fuck me, even though I'm married to his rival-understudy-flunky.... Uh, what is Ricken to Chrom?
I love this purely for the image of evil dad gangrel and pure son morgan Gangrel: WE SHALL KILL THEM morgan: With kindness! Gangrel: Well you're halfway there
Imagine if Morgan marries Lucina? (Using Lucina as an example because you can't change who her dad is). He'd have to be nice to his moral enemy, Chrom, during family events every. Single. Time.
Robin:Hey Chrom, mind if we talk? Chrom:yeah sure what is it? Robin: In private? Chrom: Oh.. Uhh.. Well alright. *has A support with Robin* Chrom: thinks;maybe this is my chance to tell her! *one moment later* Chrom: Here we are...Robin? You ok? Robin: Yeah!.... Just.. Fine...... Chrom: so what is it? Robin: Gangrel and I are getting married! Chrom:......... Robin:um.. Chr-? Chrom: THAT FUCKING SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!
It's really weird to picture the Paralogue pairings in the future, because nearly all of them result in Robin being a ruler of some nation. Emmeryn results in Robin being part of the Ylissean Royal Family... And Chrom's brother-in-law. Weird. Gangrel results in Robin being the Queen of Plegia. Basilio or Flavia results in Robin being a Khan or even Khan Regnant of Regna Ferox. Walhart results in Robin being Queen/Emperess of Valm. Yen'fay potentially results in Robin being ruler of Chon'sin, though that could also be achieved by marrying Say'ri, I guess.
@@Pomlithe Don't forget, you can be a ruler (noble?) of Roseanne if you marry Virion, and I guess the Mila Tree if you marry Tiki, but then well- you know- Tiki outlives you 😔
Νικος Χαλικιάς Marrying Aversa actually has it's strategic advantages, plus, I did it because she was so upset about the truth she saw. Out of pity, some might say.
I just noticed that black feather/fur thing around his neck like a mane. The thought of Pimp Gangrel shall never leave my mind now. Not that it's a bad thing
+OdinSnivyGunner It's gotta within the colors. The black fur thing kind of just hides in with the rest of the dark background which prominently brings out the face more.
well if you do marry gangrel you actually save him. In the end credits it says he killed himself within the year affter the war. Marrying him would actually save him from doing that
Seriously pisses me off, because I feel Gangrel’s redemption is so well done, and then they just kinda cop out. If I had the choice, I would have him marry Emm, and then give him an alternate ending that way.
Gangrel really does change...He actually noticed that power blinded him...And after seeing the Hot Spring Scramble scene with him and Emmeryn, you can really see that he wanted to change the world for the better but went astray...Wow, talk about a turn around...
To Aversa: No, you're not evil. No one likes you? Of course they do. See? I like you To Gangrel: You're evil.. No one likes you. I don't like you. Go away
Fire puppies i mean, thats probably because aversa was brainwashed and exploited and used all her life and gangrel wasnt. their situations were very different as well lol
Flavia, Basilio and Gangrel all want Robin as their tactician. Will she fight with Flavia, will she defend Basilio, will she side with Gangrel or will she refuse to choose a side? Find out in: Fire Emblem Destiny.
"That has to be the most ham-fisted marriage proposal I've ever heard". Wait. Wait wait wait wait wait. What? What other marriage proposals is she talking about?
There are few things more satisfying and heartwarming seeing a villain change their dark beliefs and redeem themselves, long live the new King Gangrel :)
Gangrel has one hell of a technique. You get defeated? Learn from it, hire the one that defeated you, and get back on the saddle with a new vision. Bonus points for marrying said person.
I always wished that the game had conversation between Cordelia and Gangrel. She was the only survivor of an onslaught that Gangrel led; all of her friends were killed and her life was completely changed because of that, y'know? He has dialogue with Emmeryn that shows his remorse and stuff, but I would have liked to see it with Cordelia too.
+MelodiousBlitz I always wished that Emmeryn had some dialoge with Chrom and Lissa, like they couldn't even try to get her to remember, so disappointed.
Callian r Considering that's how royalty used to work, I disagree. I'm just glad she can't marry Morgan or Inigo if they so happen to be her brother. THAT would be...ugh...
Callian r The fact that it's a fantasy game with typical royalty makes it not bother me as much. And that may just be a western thing idk. Plus, doesn't the game say "partner" or something instead of "husband" if you do that? And does he give her a ring? I've never seen that S support and don't plan to look anytime soon.
While Gangrel in just this one support wouldn't catch my eye, this paired with what he reveals of himself in his male!Avatar conversation leads me to actually really like his character. One theme I really love about this game how stereotypical characters have depth and change, even the Disc One Final Boss character Gangrel is. For all this, I would totally marry the guy in one of my save files. Wish I could hook him up to one of the other NPC's though...
This comment is kinda old, but if two married units pair up, their profile icon is blushing if you do the zoom in thing by tapping one of their profiles.
"A nation to govern or people to serve" I find it interesting that he uses the words Govern and Serve. It's a good way of showing that at heart he does wish the best for his nation and people.
Gangrel, seriously. You must, for once in your LIFETIME, stop thinking about slaughtering little cute piggies... And sister of a world-renowned commander.
The S support was actually pretty nice. Actually, the whole conversation is pretty good, too. He's still a fixer-upper and definitely quirky, but that's what makes him special. I guess dying has a way of changing someone.
"What AM I going to do after this war..?" I dunno, move to a distant magical land with its own desert kingdom and try to steal its magical golden relic capable of granting wishes. Change your name. Get some dope dark magic powers. Just saying
Ahhh, I totally regret marrying Yarne now ;n; Gangrel is so much cuter, he's absolutely adorkable! As soon as I recruited him I was all, "Ah, dang... I think I'm falling for Gangrel. Sorry, Yarne." But he's just so cute, how can you not love him?
no, no, no. Watch Gangrel and Emm's support from Hot Spring Scramble. Gangrel should marry Emm. A most unlikely pair, I admit, but their conversation made me want to cry and laugh at the same time.
Actually, the Japanese website mentions that Gangrel was merely a former slumdog of common blood who clawed his way to the throne. Validar is of no relation to him (in fact, the site mentions that Gangrel fired Aversa the moment he figured out she was working for the Grimeal).
haha, nice one, I love how the writer makes a reference to how basilio and walhart pretty much have the same "tactic" of getting you to marry them (act like they want to recruit you)
Honestly. I kinda like how they gave a redemption arc to Gangrel. Granted, I do wish that they went more in depth with it ( more convo’s, support with Chrom to apologize, and more dialogue ) but I find it great that Gangrel realized the terrible things he’s done and sees himself as a weak and horrible man that deserves death for it. I do sorta hate how they treated Gangrel in the credits. I wish that they mentioned he went back to plegia to fix the things he’s done wrong. And in the supports with Gangrel, it’s somewhat romantic with Gangrel honestly. Even though it’s sorta wrong to want to marry your close friends sisters murderer. The fact that he’s willing to change and sees robin as the one to be able to keep him in line in order to be a great king again is honestly romantic in a way. Gangrel redemption = 8.5/10
What’s even worse is that if you don’t pair Gangrel with F!Robin he’s just gonna go back to being a terrible person again. Scholars will agree that he died not long after the war, ruining people’s lives and all... that is if you have the spot pass to recruit him, so in the end, his ending varies. Personally I would’ve liked a third ending that had Gangrel go about fixing the wrongs in his life, so that way, if he didn’t end up with F!Robin, he could still get a redemption. But why should I complain about a game that’s eight years old.
After reading the first two comments, I'm so angry that there isn't a special support between Chrom and Gangrel. One for when the Avatar is a boy(mostly them talking their problems out with the Avatar trying to help) and one if the Avatar is a girl(Chrom tells Gangrel to stay away from her. Gangrel ignores him and tells him that he's being too protective of her.)
I'll be honest if I knew in my first playthrough that I could marry Gangrel I totally would have. I'm making a new file soon so I can marry him once I clear one of my already standing 3.
Me guess it's like this Begins War Unification Efforts with Good Intention Middle of the Way He freaking flips-seens to be a Plegia thing Tharja-crazy Henry-crazy Aversa-crazy Validar-do I even need to say it
Pheromone But be prepared to seriously use your mind. You need to talk to him with Chrom 3 times, without killing Gangrel. Maybe send chrom to him, use a rescue staff to bring chrom back, then repeat process?
+buck wade Caanan gangrel has a levin sword, meaning he'll attack chrom from a distance, unless you're using a ranged weapon with chrom or somehow backed gangrel to a spot he can't move he'll never kill gangrel.
+buck wade Caanan or just send a maxed out chrom with unequiped weapons and talk to him. my chrom before the endgame is at 320 overall stats. Gangrel and the pirates cant even tickle him
+Pheromone Also, those Paralogues are only available if you unlock Spotpass (which you can do at any time even if you didn't from the get-go), so once that's done you can recruit Gangrel.
So in the beginning of the C Support Gangrel's going on and on about how Robin is "in Chrom's service" and "cleaning crumbs from Chrom's table" . . . and that becomes hella awkward if you had Robin marry Chrom. I mean, I'm not exactly sure what Gangrel's idea of a marriage/wife is, but . . .
I liked it better when Gangrel was talking to the Male Avatar. He seemed much more serious in that one. On a side note, that S Support reminded me a lot of Walhart"s...
Is it just me or is Gangrel seriously... SERIOUSLY attractive? Like even before he redeemed himself he seemed extremely attractive to me for some reason. That’s it. Next time I play through Awakening, I’m making a female Robin with not only magic as a strength, but maybe Gangrel as a husband.
Although I get it, it’s always felt odd to me how Robin is treated strictly as Ylissian. She’s Plegian by birth right? It just seems weird, I think the only character with anything to say about it is Tharja iirc.
