On the other hand, it creates an outright plothole in Owain's recount of his father's sacrifice. It also doesn't account for Owain's personality. And Morgan could have gotten her prankish tendencies from literally anyone.
"Heeyy, I opened the box so I get to prank you back, right?" "I thought the pranks were just to get my attention." "Yeah, well when I said yes? That was the prank."
"I love your loyalty, I love your candor, I love your spirit, I love the way you skewer things when your lance wrist thirsts, I love the way you butcher things when when your axe hand hungers, and most of all, I love the way you mercilessly incinerate in a wind of death, thunder and fire. My sword twitches. MARRY ME GODDESS OF DESTRUCTION!"
+Blusarix Maybe that was his plan all along, to pretend to be fooled by some dumb pranks so he could get in his friend's little sister's pants. Robin is a pimp after all.
Reasons why I like to marry Lissa: 1. She's pretty sweet and funny 2. I like to be Owain's dad 3. I like the fact that my best friend is my brothah too (I care a fuck for that so called "bro code")
This pairing actually makes sense.... With Robin as the father it's no wonder Owain keeps going on about his "cursed blood" and "dark powers". It's not just chuunibyou...he actually does possess some kind of dark and ancient power. Though he can probably never actually awaken and control it at will.
@@LittleAl016 What they were going for there was that when Robin took the arrow, he didn't die. While they were separated, that's when Robin chose godhood apparently.
@@wholesome_masochist4113 Except that doesn't make sense, because Robin was indeed seen again later on, if we're placing the Risen attack on Lissa's family before Robin gets possessed by Grima. If Robin wasn't already possessed by Grima during then, where did the Risen come from? And who would want Lissa and her family dead if someone besides Grima was responsible for the Risen? And if Grima is in Robin's body at the time, and he most likely is, why would he decide to block the arrow for Owain? Robin wouldn't be able to regain control over his body due to being a willing vessel. And Grima literally has no reason to want to save Lissa and Owain, and every reason to kill them.
I kinda wished there would be special conversations between certain characters when 2 people marry, for example Chrom talking to whoever marries one of his sisters, or Virion "accepting" that sully likes someone else instead of him etc...
H enryuuki No not the mother and daughter support conversation, Lucina and Chrom's support conversation B (I think it was B) changes if Robin is her mother
I'll be honest Lissa was my first girl, at first it was because I just wanted to see what would happen and because I liked Lissa's personality, but this became my favorite pairing so far followed by Tiki and Sumia. I've done Lucina's as well and while it is as good as Tiki's it's kinda weird in my opinion by my bro chrom's son in law rather than his brother in law. Also the sacrifice ending is made all that much sweeter with Lissa as the wife as the first thing you see is her face again and you can imagine how happy she is to see you again.
WingSlash I'm dead my good fellow. I can't be close to Une if she doesn't exist and Lissa is in dire need of etiquette lessons but doesn't want them so I figured I should 'step in' if you get my drift.
Don't you mean if you don't exist? So what you're saying is, you transcended the plane between mortality and death just so you could preach your belief of etiquette to my wife? Talk about dedication good sir. I salute you! :P
WingSlash I suppose you could say that I went from the outrealms to fix what I could in other realms. I suppose you could figure me like old man hubba. I just so happened upon Ylisse.
So, in other words, you drag other people into inter-dimensional wars with warriors from the past meaning, we are now going to get a Fire Emblem vs Gundam crossover?! ...This both intrigues and horrifies me. :P
You must become the gundam that believes in you which believes in me who believes in you so that you may save the worlds from Grima's Dark History and prevent the A-Laws from destroying the Feroxi Gundam fights.
I married my MU with Olivia only because she was one of the only other first gen women that gave birth to son JUST so that I can marry Ignis with Lucina and being robin and Chrom into a single linage
"Will you be my wife?" "Oh my gosh... of course I will Robin, I loved you since the very beg" "HAHAHAHAHAHA PRANKED BITCH!" "W-what?" "HAHAAAA... Look at your face! You really thought I was going to marry you? What a moron!" "B-b-b-ut... y-you said..." "IT'S JUST A PRANK BRO!"
Robin: Is that really how your parents raised you? Me: Yeah you tell her Robin Lissa: I never really knew my parents... Me: ... I feel like a horrible person, I am so sorry... Please forgive me Lissa... PLEASE!!!
After rewatching this support, I just realized she wasn't just drawing a random picture in MU's book. She was doodling a picture *OF* MU. Yup, OTP right there.
“She was doodling a picture of MU.” oh no... to think a few games later, they’d create a character who would go on to do the same thing. is drawing pictures of the MU a FE thing or something?
Let's see: Older sister, younger sister, daughter, (potentially) second daughter... MU is determined to sleep with all female members of Chrom's family.
Could another thing that helps support the idea of Lissa X MU be Owain's intelligence? I mean, when he isn't being dramatic, Owain is one smart cookie. During other conversations, he acts normal when the he is told and when he does, he shows himself to be quite smart...In fact in some cases, you could probably consider him to be a tactician like Robin.
Honestly my favorite ship with the Avatar next to Tiki. Lissa is the type of woman I would love to have in my life. Kind, witty, down to earth, playful, and a ray of sunshine for anyone who comes into contact with her. Plus, her being with Robin makes the most sense to me out of everyone.
My first run through of this game I had this pair happen mainly knowing nothing about the game. Several play throughs later and knowing more I still like this pair
SPOILERS FOR AWAKENING AND FATES!! I like how when you met Odin Dark (Basically Owain) In Fates hw says "My FELL hand twitches!", and as we know Robin is the Vessel and Heart of Grima, which means Owain might have some connection to Grima. Which means he is of FELL blood. Or I'm just thinking to deep since this is my favorite pairing.
+Project Shadow Zero: It actually doesn't mean anything of the sort. In fact, Odin describing himself as "fell" is literally Odin being Odin. Besides, if Robin is Lissa's "canon wife" then, when does the Risen attack occur? And how does Robin "disappear"? If you've been paying attention to Awakening's story, you know the answers to both questions. Which are as follows: The Risen attack happened after Robin got possessed by Grima. And not only did Robin NOT disappear, but Owain shouldn't be alive to recount his story if he's actually Robin's son. Besides, as Andrew Smith pointed out, there's a far stronger case for Henry being Lissa's canon husband. After all, Lissa's paired ending with Henry states that Owain got his personality from his father. (Owain's personality is unaddressed in every other Lissa pairing.) In addition, Odin's a Dark Mage, which he can't be in Awakening unless if he's Henry's or Libra's son. (I'm not counting Robin in this due to the obvious plothole based in fact.) And Ophelia's supports have so many references to Henry, that it's hard NOT to see Henry/Lissa as "canon."
Legends say that when someone mentions anything about Owain and Robin being a cool father son duo, or Lissa and Robin being a good match, a person with an Akko icon and with the number 6 on their name will comment on how its bad and creates plot holes.
I swear they are in every single video that involves Lissa x Robin. They are so annoying lmao like bro we get it you think the risen thing is a plothole get over it.
Robin: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...don't talk to me again. Fool me three times, you're officially THAT girl. You know the one. You come and there's this who like this food is charge your money ask my dad and fuck you! I AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN'T HAVIN THAT SH*T!
She (and Chrom) are the first people Robin meets when he wakes up... She immediately sympathises with him, despite Frederick's waryness... Her pranks and Robin's strategizing work really well together, especially since Morgan ALSO tries to prank Robin... Marrying her makes Robin and Chrom LITERAL bros... She sort of resembles Morgan... If you use the tall build and short hair, Robin resembles Owain... Owain's antics make more sense if he has the blood of Grima in him... Owain/Odin specializing in swords and magic makes sense when Robin is his dad... Come on, this HAS to be canon!
+Warboss West: Except there's a plothole in Owain's father supports if Robin is his father. To say nothing about Odin describing himself as "Fell" is just Odin being the big ham he usually is, and nothing more.
@@LittleAl016 Why everything time somebody said Robin X Lissa is canon/legit your answer there is a pothole? Technally if you saw your father being shooted because of you and you never see him again , it's safe to assume that he die due of the guilt. Due of Lucina's intervention both the war against Plegia and Wallhart took many years so letting the time for parents to get their children and Validar to create risens (Henry proved that anyone with black magic can create risen with corpses) and plotting. Lissa was pregnant of Morgan when Robin became Grima. Morgan was letter abducted by Grima when Robin came back to kill Lissa. Morgan grew while thinking that the abusive treatment of Grima was her father's love. If you follow this line, Owain story don't create a plot hole
@@rufure9294 Which requires mental gymnastics when it's easier to just accept the most logical conclusion. Risen wouldn't exist without Grima, Robin would be likely possessed by the time Owain gets attacked by Risen (as evidenced by the premonition chapter), and Grima has no reason to save Lissa. How is this not open and shut?
@@LittleAl016 Risen are just basically walking corpse so nobody with blacks magic like Validar and Henry create them and use them. What your proof that Validar didn't simply invoke Risen from the multiverse since they exist all over the world. Some risen can exist even without Grima intervention like those from the tomb
@@LittleAl016 Beside it was revealed in Shadow of Valentia that both Grima and Risens were created by Forneus. For his experiments he created a large army of dead who lays dormant. So meaning Risens can be created by someone else than Grima (who can control them otherwise they will attack anyone alive)
I can only imagine how Robin broke the news of marrying Lissa to Chrom. Probably went something like this: *Walking up to Chrom after marrying Lissa* Robin: Chrom! Buddy, I have something to tell you! Chrom: Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be good news. Spill it! Robin: I married your younger sister. Chrom:.........You're dead to me.......
With that close relationship he has with Robin for Chrom there would be no doubt that Lissa is in good hands and who better husband for her sister than someone who trusts so much and treats him like a brother and part of his family, honestly I don't see so much drama with Chrom, well except for lucina there is another story xd
@@Luminus2 I agree. Considering Chrom is still very young. And so is Robin. To have a friend marry your daughter; unless the friend is a lot younger (though if your are friends of the parent it is likely you are the same age) I find it much easier to marry a friends sister. Many people have married someone's bro or sis. And Chrom knowing Robin is a good guy will be happy Liisaa has a good husband. Or Tiki who is a guardian u could say of peace. I find marrying a sibling of a friend or a immortal dragon much more easier than a friends daughter from the future
First time I played I got this pairing. When the Avatar opens his eyes for the first time I thought: "Uh-huh... I know who I'm marrying my MU to." The supports confirmed that, from C to S they were made for each other. Also, in the C support: "I was kinda doodling a pic of you in your big, new book of battle strategies..." Silly Lissa, you sound like a lovestruck schoolgirl.
This was my first game and knowing nothing a out the pairings system or that future kids was a thing going in I paired MU with Lissa because their supports were so fun. After all this time, it’s still my favorite pair for M!Robin.
See Mass Effect, you can do romances without any sexual or exploitative elements and they can be just as good, if not better! I just love how sweet, innocent and charming all of the romantic subplots are in this game. It warms your heart!
LuiBei1994 She also plays pranks constantly reminiscent of this whole support convo. So I think we can use Morgan's personality to determine a lot. And if that's not enough, Owain's talk about how his blood rages makes sense considering the Grima blood plus exalted blood.
Devont'e W. they are not pranks, she is trying tactics, and that was like what? once? his blood raging does not have to do with grima at all....its owain, plus hes poor too so it would make sense considering he would be of royal descent sooooooo yeah
That said, I LOVED this game. It was truly a wonderful journey! I just YEARN for more character interaction. The supports are superb, but I want MORE! I bought the scramble pack DLC solely for the purpose of reading more character conversations. I was even treated to a lovely conversation between myself and my new wife, Lucina, at the hot-springs. However, even with that DLC (and its limited conversation choices), I was still sad that I could not have a conversation with my dearest Lissa...
When I found out that the player made character could marry any of the female characters in the game, I went for Lissa right off the bat. She's just so adorable. And even when I found out about all the other characters I'll be going for in my next playthroughs (Tharja, Anna, Tiki) I had no regrets.
Also love having Owain as MU son. He's just like him sometimes, when he's not trying to role play. I mean Owain is probably my favorite character in the whole game. He's hilarious when he role plays and is actually quite cool when he gets serious.
I think the developers expected the player to choose Lissa as Robin's love interest. I know the player can choose anyone of the opposite sex to be their spouse, but in the male Avatar's case, this relationship seems not only the most believable, but also the sincerest. Robin is responsible, yet caring. Lissa is childish, yet has a good heart. They accent each other perfectly and as a result, they are my favorite couple in this game.
+WingSlash: They actually didn't. In fact, if they did, they would have changed Owain's father supports with Robin so that there's no plothole regarding the timing of the Risen, and the fact that Robin's possessed by Grima by the time said Risen attack occurs. If anything, they had significantly higher expectations that a player would choose Lucina as Male Robin's love interest, or Chrom as Female Robin's love interest, compared to expectations regarding Lissa and Male Robin. And the scene where Lucina confronts Robin is why.
This means that their interference with the past caused history to change and skew off into an alternate tangent. In the new timeline, 2 years after the war with Gangrel, Lucina is a newborn, and no other child has gotten the chance to be conceived. This interference most likely caused events to be accelerated abnormally because the dark future Lucina came from starts to take form 2 years after the war with Gangrel, not 10 years like she states when you recruit her. Time travel is COMPLICATED.
The children characters stats are determined by their parents' stats, which get put into a formula you can find on the Fire Emblem wiki. When I got Owain his stats were surprisingly high. At the time I had Lon'Qu as a Swordmaster, and Owain's stats rivaled his when he was a level 10 Myrmidon.
4:30: Lissa gives Robin a frog and he thinks that it feels cold and slimy. Have you noticed that the 2 pokémons Politoed and Seismitoad are different amphibians.
I cannot possibly agree more. I got her s support in my first playtrough, and by now i am seeing all supports avaiable to have them in the support log, but this one is still my favourite.
Oh Lissa… you are such an adorable little prankster! ❤️ Also I may not like being pranked on but I wouldn’t get as upset or mad as Robin did during the A & B Supports. I mean seriously! Come on Robin! She did nothing but harmless pranks! It’s not like you’re going to die or get injured or anything like that! Also just a random thought that I think would make sense came into my head: If Lisa were to appear in the Fates world… I should definitely warn her to NEVER even attempt to prank Saizo because he would be so pissed off & would probably most likely injure or kill her!
Favourite pairing in the entire game :D On a side note, I find it funny how everyone is arguing about the characters ages. Personally, I just leave it up to my imagination as to how old most characters in the game are (with some exceptions such as Tiki, Nowi, etc.)
In some concept art, it's revealed that Lissa is four years younger than Chrom. And if you do some number crunching, you'll find out that Chrom is 19 at the beginning of the game and is 21 after the time skip, which would put Lissa at the ages of 15 to 17.
