@@katchy4922 Believe it or not, this was just on Normal. RNG hates me lol Ironically, my Lunatic playthrough of Chapter 10 went a lot smoother lmao (I try to use Nyx, because I like her a lot, but just about everyone overshadows her in some way rip)
@@-memoria-2136 lmaooo that chapter was hell for me on lunatic. I couldn't take takumi out in time cuz I was using mozu on the far right of the map with effie. Most people use Arthur down the middle for all the spear fighters and ninjas. Mozu as an archer is really good in late game tho, with incredible crit rates and surprisingly reliable defense
fates ost is such a master piece, personally I love fe fates, but I can understand people who don't like it, anyway, no one can deny this game's ost matches any previous ost in quality terms
I absolutely agree with you about the ost. I give Fates a lot of flak because the characters and writing are awful but the ost is undoubtedly one of the best.
The thing I didn’t like about Fates’ was its localization issues and hit or miss dub voices, with the worst voices being Male Kanna, Hinoka, Effie, Nyx, and Selkie’s.
I mostly find the writing to be a big let down. The world is not fleshed out at all, the game is too concerned with morally absolving corrin of any potential killing, they're scared to let literally any character actually die instead the retreat, the characters are pretty much just a collection of tropes or sometimes just like a fetish. It's really really not good.
This is more like Hinoka's theme in my opinion, as she's the Hoshidan royal you have to fight the most (Ryoma's first battle is optional and his second one plays "Thorn in You (Roar)" Sakura's battle is completely optional and outside chapter 10, Takumi has a different battle theme in "Puppet's Feast")
I thought it would be Takumi since you fight him in 6, 10, 13, 23, and the finale. I can only remember fighting Hinoka in 6 and 24. Granted, this theme only plays for Takumi in 10.
@@elijahsanders3191 takumi doesn't use this theme on chapter 6 (no one does), it only plays during his chapter 10 appearance, which is technically optional since you can just survive up until turn 11 without ever fighting him (please kill him on lunatic). All of his other appearances (barring endgame) use "puppets feast" since he's already gone and been possessed by Anankos
You of the Light vs You of the Dark: You of the Light is definitely a powerful theme. The ending with the quick repetitive beats really hits the mark for me, and this certainly feels as though I'm battling against time. Score: 7.5/10
In terms of composition and production Fates is top tier but I think Awakening beats it in terms of theming and cohesiveness, like the Id themes, and I just like the Id motif more than Lost In Thoughts All Alone. But I think part of Fates' problems are from game design choices, like the fact that it's effectively three separate games that all want to have different vibes and the Astral plane shenanigans weakening the through line. Plus Awakening gets to use the Fire Emblem Theme, which is a masterpiece.
I associate this song with a revelations highlights: Corrin Critting and defeating Ryoma on Chapter 13 with 69 of hitrate and 0 of critrate, meanwhile ryoma had 84 of hitrate and 17 of critrate
