I like claude a lot, he was and is my favorite 3h lord but he was done so dirty by time constraints and Im so happy someone is speaking about it! I also adore lyn so this video was very entertaining and I loved seeing it to it's end. Id also love to see you discuss why you dont like 3h world building as well!

I’ve never even thought much about the almyrans being portrayed as rowdy uncivilized people (even by Cyril? Like damn) until this video, I just knew I didnt like it!! Like yes I know there aren’t many people not from Fodlan in the cast, but can’t SOMEONE actually point out that the Almyrans aren’t just rowdy warriors who send people to battle for no reason? And if that’s just the truth about them (which I don’t think it is), then… wtf writers I genuinely think they were going for an unreliable narrator type of thing, but it’s just not clear enough. Especially with Cyril’s comments about Almyrans too I’d love to see a video about Three Houses world building, I know everyone always praises it but it’d be interesting to hear why you don’t enjoy it!

On Sylvain, your take that "it's 2023, his promiscuity doesn't matter" isn't very true. If it didn't matter, it wouldn't be an important factor in interpersonal relationships and a character trait that people recognize as something important to at least be acknowledged. You may have your own personal preference when it comes to downplaying or trying to judge neutrally someone's permiscuity, but that doesn't make it less true that it's our nature to have a preference in how someone acts and behaves. Could the writing used less of it and more highlighting anything else with Sylvain' character traits? Yes. But that's just another ball dropped by 3H's poor juggling act

I really feel like this is missing at least an aside mentioning portrayal outside the base games, even if it's just as small as saying you haven't played Three Hopes so you can't cover it or mentioning you will be keeping the scope to the base games. Tagging the video with that game and using footage of it without including it in the script at all feels a bit disingenuous. ...Also, be careful about complaining about mid-emblem too much, or they might decide we want more games like Engage. I'll take unpolished while still being actually interesting over a well-polished game that's almost completely empty any day of the week. Except maybe Sundays. I mean, yeah, it shouldn't have to be a choice, but that seems to be the only way Intelligent Systems likes to roll. At least it's better than GameFreak. But, yeah, this was a pretty well presented analysis. Like, in a vacuum I don't mind Cyril's contributions since they seem to be a product of his own bias, but it's sad the wider story and other characters do so little to provide better context. Also, I do love Lyn Mode, even if it means FE7's pacing from the gameplay side of things is kinda hampered for most people, both if you play it or if you skip it. Her story is probably the best part of the game as a whole, though, with it being a bit held back by some of the restraints of being a prequel.
