Great as always Doc. I loved how the 2 engines that were right behind each other made good use of their sirens - the 1st laying on the Q and the 2nd using the electronic.
@box15c22 not to be a jerk box15c22, but the best use of a Q is to change the pitch up and down, not stand on it. The change in pitch is what gest the traffic`s attention.
@zaffdoc Doc, I don`t know if their s scientific proof, I just know that from my training and many years on both sides of a Q, that the change in pitch is what seems to get traffic`s attention better. Either while driving various apparatus or a commercial truck. SWhen I was a driver, I`d hear the Q`s better and sooner if the pitch was being changed. Just think, wail changes slowly, yelp a lot faster, phaser even faster. Traffic responds the best to yelp or phaser from what I have experianced
@zaffdoc Doc, exactly. Now, stuck behind someone that won`t move...........I say stand on the siren and annoy them till they move. Thing is, our rules are that if stuck in traffic, turn the siren off until it`s clear to go. Now, I have no problem standing on the siren or horn when the idiot "barf busses" park right in front of me when I`m trying to get to a call on campus...lol..
