Update: I filmed this video on February 29th (nearly 3 weeks ago) and this color is still going STRONG after a ton of washing! The fading has been minimal, and my grays/whites are still mostly covered! (They're usually the first to go back to normal.) So, I'm sold.

Your hair came out great! It's a little different, but I love that it seems a little deeper at the top, fading into that dark orange and then the yellow tips. I love it! Curious to see how it wears over time. I've tossed around the idea of doing some royal purple in my hair. Maybe one day!

I currently use manic panic infra red on the underside of my bangs, so it takes me Forever to use up a pot, but that red is lovely. I might have to give it a try when I run out of manic panic. I love having choices when I do my hair.

I ditched the dye a few years ago, but I still love to watch people dying their own hair! It’s nice to see a success, most are fails and that’s a whole different kind of entertainment! Also I think you’d look amazing with a full head of salt and pepper when you are ready!

That turned out gorgeous and so shiny I love it! I love the sunset look on you so much! Last time I tried box dye to get dark brown my scalp felt like it was on fire. I do have some green left on my underside, which was Lunar Tides and it always looks vibrant and lasts. I was going to shift to aqua and grabbed some of the Ion brand as Sally’s, which works well for me too. I’ll have to go see what Kaleidos colors are available now!

Oh no! That's such a bummer about the box dye. Oof. I've heard good things about the Ion brand but haven't tried it. It looks like Kaleidos doesn't have an actual aqua yet, but I feel like if you mixed the blue and pastel mixer you could get there! I hope they come out with more colors.

Glad these worked out for you! Your hair looks great and so shiiiiiiny! 🤩 To answer your question: though they look like a blast, this won't be a product I'll be picking up. I'm turning 40 in June, and I've never dyed my hair. Ever. I'm a natural redhead, I love my red, and I've always been TERRIFIED of losing it, so I've never attempted to dye it even with a temporary colour. So, while my natural red is still with me, I live vicariously through others and their playful experimentation with fun colours! ❤️🧡💛

For dye that you don’t use in your bowl just keep it in a glass jar (not plastic) and it will keep fresh with the lid on. Also for the orange what about adding a little bit of the pastel mixer to soften the red tone in the orange? 🤔

Yes! The next time I touch up my color myself, I'm definitely going to try adding a bit of the pastel mixer in. And good suggestion about keeping the dye in a glass bowl!

This is beautiful!! I noticed how amazing your hair looked in one of your stories recently and wondered. I used AF several months ago after watching your video. I liked it but the longevity wasn't there for me. Also the red turned my silver hair pinkish in places, mostly closest to the skin. I pinned a comment here, but in case you didn't see it: I'm about three weeks post-dying with a good amount of shampoos under my belt and the color is still BEAUTIFUL. Very slight fading (as is to be expected with semi-permanent) but my grays are still mostly covered and the color is B-R-I-G-H-T.

Well, now that you have about half a life time of the Kaleidos hair dye in red and orange, maybe you can try adding just a smidge of the Arctic Fox yellow to the orange dye, and that might brighten it up? 🤔 Saves you money for your low buy only having to buy one colour as well 😂

I do think they would show up at least a bit, especially in the sun, but they would just be way more intense on lighter/bleached hair.

Do you know if they are safe for dogs? One of the big reasons I use Arctic Fox is because they are dog safe. I like dying my Service Dog’s tail to match my hair.

I unfortunately cannot speak to the safety for animals - I would definitely reach out to the brand to ask if I were you though!
