🔥 Welcome to the first episode of #FCFRDResponds 🔥 Perspective from Tiller Truck 410 Tillerman on the way to a high-rise fire. Tiller Truck 410 is located at FS10, Bailey's Crossroads. #tillertruck #aerialapparatus #truckwork #sendit
Tillerman bouncing around back there. I'm sure it's a fun ride. I'm also sure he spent many hours training before they let him behind the wheel for the real thing. Great work!
Just goes to show what an experienced tractor operator and tillerman can improve response times. Headsets make communication betw both easier and integral to safe and expedient operations. Fast and unsafe leads to bad results - fast, efficient & SAFE makes the job that much easier! Clearly well trained and experienced operators here! WTG all!!!!!
@@BC41B That's key thing, especially when it comes to the tillerman. Both ends of the truck have to have trust in each other. Those turns CAN become a life or death thing. Also, to joebobo3030, you think the tiller was going fast? It showed an engine company right behind them. Think about how fast they're going just to keep up. Both first due pieces. Love every minute of the video.
Holy Schmoly! At first I am wondering how this guy can see the road and cars with that ladder hanging in front, then around the first curve, I see the front end of the unit! I guess this explains how caterpillars and millipedes can scamper around without losing their arses----someone must be in charge back there! All kidding aside, VERY cool video! Thanks for sharing!
Thankyou absolutely fantastic coverage and explanation of what going on, my not from a firefighters background, but you've made so much easier knowing inwhat is happening. Thankou all for an amazing job well done. Love from the UK ❤️❤️
Yet another Engineer who doesn't know how to properly operate the Q 🙄 Maxing them out is not how they are designed to operate, it is also the least effective, which is why they use a momentary switch They are designed to be driven up and then free roll back down, this is to cover the most frequency range
I don't think I've ever seen the perspective of a tillerman before. That's kinda nuts. Feels like a roller coaster with the ladder and how quickly they took corners.
I noticed you guys are using IPADs instead of traditional MDT. What response apps do you use on them? We are in the process of setting up a similar setup in our dept.... Love the tiller BTW!
This is a great video from the tiller operators perspective. However, the company officer clearly has no idea how to operate the Q2B siren. He needs to operate it within the tonal range.
