Perdy neat test you guys I think if ya just adding one to each bundle then the small one is good but if ya selling them in a 6 pack I’d go with the bigger one .

I Think the small one is plenty sufficient if they are using dry firewood to begin with. I enjoy your content.

I think good dry firewood and smaller splits to start. The smaller one would be fine. The big one to start a bonfire due to wind and damp wood. Peace

Hi Jeff and Patty and Bailey ❤ This is crazy. I was thinking about this a few hours ago. If a little fire starter would work just as good as a big one. Great minds think alike😅 The little one would definitely light a fire after ten minutes or more. 23 minutes or more for the big guy, impressive.

Jeff and Patty , what’s the cost difference to make them. As Firewood Midwest said, if you don’t get something going in 10 minutes you have other issues. For small warm bond or solo stoves I don’t think you definitely don’t need the large ones. I’ve never made fire starters. I agree with you Jeff bigger campground fires the larger may be better. Good info guys. Take care. Al Club Dora

Bigger ain’t always better. I think if you can’t get your fire to take off in 10 minutes you’ve got bigger issues.

100% agree. Assuming you’re starting with dry, seasoned wood and have at least some protection from the elements, the small one would be more than enough to get your fire going. At 10 minutes, heck, you should be able to get wet wood started…

Jeff save your chainsaw chips dry them out mix with use cooking oil . I would go bigger for sure . Bailey is grown until his a 1 yr old . Pattie and Jeff should be sitting back with a glass of Red wine 🍷 watching candles light . 😊

My question is which one is easier to make, second the small one would be fine for starting a fire if you have dry wood ,just my opinion thanks for the video 👍👍🪵

This video doesn't answer if it is "better", it just shows the bigger one lasts about twice as long. The real question is, do you really need a fire starter to go on for 20+ minutes? What the heck are you trying to light up in your wood stove, that doesn't burn after 10 minutes (size of smaller fire starter)???
@mountaintopoutdoors
@mountaintopoutdoors 3 месяца назад
You don’t need a 20 min fire starter. The small ones are the way to go I believe
