As someone who doesn't know jack shit about shoestring, thank you for this tutorial. Gonna put three of these on my park and call them GREAT BALLS OF FIRE

Sounds perfect! I was always afraid of shoe strings so I try to find the easiest way to build rides. Have since dabbled in them a bit but I always prefer the easy ways like this!

Haha! I actually have never ridden one. I was always in awe of them as a child seeing the ring of fire at carnivals but I wasn’t tall enough to ride.

@@openRCT2tutorials Yes, the Ring of Fire was always a hoot! The bench was very narrow. The doors were bars that would slide downwards along the sides that pushed a big padded bar across your lap to hold you in. Amazing that two people could fit in there!

I think I would rather make the station track invisible and make it look like regular track without the curve, floating train looks a bit odd.

That's a fair point and I have done exactly that in some of my parks. I used the ride in a contest on Deurklink's Discord and many people complained about the flat bottom.

I had no idea the air launch coaster cars had inverting sprites... Thats strange, most ride types only have sprites for the types of elements the original purpose can do

I believe any vehicle that can go vertical also has sprites for vertical loops. The reverse free fall coaster car can also do loops!

If I'm understanding the video correctly, the first train always parks at the start of the Station, so by moving it back a car, the entire train shifts forward one car, which better centers it.

I should have explained it better. Moving vehicle 1 back means the train will stop whenever it reaches the end of the station platform. So this allows the train to look symmetrical when losing rather than all the cars behind vehicle 1. It’s just an option, you don’t have to do that step.

I seem to be struggling little bit on trying to do the vehicle edits. My car one doesn't have the spacing option available? Any reason why?

You won’t see the spacing option for car 1 since it’s the first vehicle. I actually am not using the spacing option but the track progress which is just above it. I hope that helps.

id rather prefer a larson loop with shoestring though, looks nicer, when the train actually does a full loop without any straight trackpieces inbetween.

I agree, but this method is much simpler for those not familiar with shoe-strings and is easy to build easily for scenario play. I think Brian A has a shoe string Larson loop tutorial
