Firebox Freestyle Wood Gas Mod ?

My idea was to come up with a way to turn just about any square wood stove like the Firebox, Firebox Freestyle, Emberlit etc etc into a wood gas stove.
Why ? you might ask.
Because I am a Stove Aholic of course and because I am curious, like to get ideas out into the open and share them with you good people. Of course some of my ideas are terrible but some may have enough merit to inspire viewers to have a go at their own tinkering projects.
Feel free to add comments, share ideas for improvements and ask any questions you may have. If the concept has some merit how can it be made better?

I love seeing the exploration of ideas. Time will spent in my opinion. One tip for keeping the pellets from falling through would be to hold your stove upside down against a cup of pellets then rotate it quickly so all the pellets hit the fire grade at the same time. Doing this helps them bind up and allows fewer to fall through. You may be able to get them to stay against the stock fire rate using this method or at least a lot more than if you pour them in slowly. 👍😎 Seeing the way you think, you probably already knew this. Thanks for the tip and support. My idea with the pellets is to carry them around in their own fuel cell pop the top and bottom off and light. I found that the pellets needed more air so did another video with better results after putting a hollow coil through the centre. This really helped to push air through the middle and provided a much better controlled burn. Thank you for creating innovative and robust products 👍

Expected to see; after the try out of the crudely knocked up :- coffee can Pellet gasifier, refinements of another Genius idea from you:- So I was Gripped, until "it was a complete and dismal failure", I just roared with laughter; have been there myself, but its all worth trying, who knows it might just work. Thanks for the suggestion. I have made some improvements that am much happier with and put out a second video, think it was a month or so ago. Have a few more refinement ideas and will put those ideas out there at some point 👍

Have you tried using a stainless sink strainer and use it like you would a trangia. Should hold enough pellets to get to a boil. You can also use a stainless cat bowl and punch holes in it.

@@InfoZhedExplore I've used a cat food bowl, but was just cleaning dishes and came up with the idea. Lol I'll have to get one from dollar tree, I'm pretty sure the wife wouldn't be too happy with me if I melted the kitchen sink's strainer.

Nice idea. How about trying a mini serving chip basket. Just googled it and they're only a quid Think I'm going to have a root thru the garage tomorrow and see what I've got. 👍🏽
