the camo of the soldiers (02:26) looks alott like the WW2 german tank camo used by german forces in 1943-1945. German ingenuity at its finest, after almost 70 years you can still find tech, tactics, camo back in modern armies.
Real life is not like gaming: CS, BF or COD. You have to remember that those speed are to be maintained for days and weeks. In NATO, its as follow, for infantry with battlegear, and a 25kg rucksack: the speed is dictated by the mission and/or terrain : If you are moving to be in a position at a certain time, you better hall ass to be there in time, 5-7kmh If stealth is the priority, you move as slow as possible, 1-3kmh If you are just marching, 4-6kmh is normal, quick march is 5-8kmh
I am well aware of that, I wasnt comparing it to gaming. I have done training with military personnel and the timing which I said above is the is the timing standard they set us, so yes it depends on the 'mission' but as you have clearly pointed out yourself that a normal marching pace should be 4-6kmh whereas the documentary was stating 2.5kmh which according to the timings is the speed for 'stealth'. I would also appreciate not being talked down too as I was just trying to make a bit of a joke
"The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations." ~David Friedman liked this, too: "If we let people see that kind of thing, there would never again be any war." ~Pentagon official explaining why the U.S. military censored graphic footage from the Gulf War
I don't think anyone wants to see the US and China duke it out in a war... That said 'Heavy Manouver Divisions' wouldn't work at the same efficiency in Far East Asia as they did in Iraq, not only due to the opposition but terrain aswell. Mountain and forrested areas don't allow manouverability and mines can be deployed a lot easier than in a desert enviroment.
im sorry, but sometimes those "game-heads" (gaming all day and think everything in a game is reality) just gets the best of me :-) did´n know you where just joking.
versus the chins it would just take longer because of how much shooting we would have to do to get them all, like stepping on ants... on the other hand wedo have ALOT of firepower, i mean alot. one troop can be carrying over 1000 rounds of ammo. and be able to kill/wound with as few as 2-3 rounds per. wounding would not really count any different as the chins would likely see wounded troops as total losses anyway. wounded americans on the other hand... would tie up dozens of personelle attrition
Us arm force ground troop n any typ of air power support that is combined fire power it is making big supprize for any enemy hard to handle from us army.daverstated destruction
lol they always use the gulf war as an example but they were up against an enemy that had a disadvantage because the Americans had better fire power and technology and maybe better training i want to see them fight a enemy that is equal with them with technology fire power and training someone like china now that would be a real fight
Only a small percentage of the chinese army is equipped (and arguably, trained) to a modern standard. Most of the Chinese army would be just like Saddams army.
☎️😍 The Tanks and Artillery must make local Breach in the Enemy's Frontline and Deliver there the Infantry Vehicles... Better hit the Side of Enemy's Front... A Twice Faster Victory guaranteed! 😎
Look at Sweden or Finland, small countries with well, sadly I have to admit pretty shitty armies. The training is good and the equipment is decent but we don´t have that many men and yet we are independent. What I´m trying to say is; you don´t need strong military, you need good allies :)
