I downloaded cinema app and the media app.for every 10 movies I try to play I might be able to play 3. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong.all my settings are correct.other than that idk.thank a bunch, hope I get a reply from someone.
Wow...had a lot of things already turned off, but followed your direction all the way through. First time I can actually watch any movie under any resolution all the way through with out constant stoppages in the movie. Thanks a million!
I just stumbled across your video, but it feels like I just stumbled onto a gold mine. It's s everything I didn't know that I NEEDED! I'm extremely appreciative that you choose to share such practical information. NOWHERE else would I have learned ALL that- and trust me, it was ALL news to me, let alone find myself giving my whole system a 360 degree revamp, after watchingand copying every single thing you said and did, and I'm so grateful to know that I need to be a part of the process proactively. feeling so much better about my home space. So useful! Thank you so much!
I take everyone I meet wearing camo pants and a unbuttoned collared shirt seriously. Love how you tied it all together with a different print camo hat.
You should tell them to clear the cache on Screensaver too to save storage... that thing can use almost 1 GB of your storage. Screensaver data accumulates every time so you have to constantly clear the cache to avoid "not enough storage space" message when you're watching movies.
I just followed your steps on my Firestick 4k and just cleared the cache, force stop on all applications and restarted my firestick. Going to see how it works now after following all of your precise steps and will let you know. In the meantime, new subscriber with ALL notifications here. Hi from FL 🌴
@@RichmanKnowsTech so far, so good! I don't see any issues. I DO have a couple of ?'s for ya though....Do you still use CatMouse app? And also Does Black Panther app still work or is that obsolete? And do you have a file linked account you share ? Thanks in advance! ~beth 🌴
Very, very useful. Recently bought a 4K fire stick at Black Friday price, so I just now did all the steps in real time as I watched your video. Thank you very much.
Rich of all the people ive listened to on u tube , i like your presentations overall best. and you dont rush through like others do. thanks pal .....Richman youre the go to man when i need help youre AAAA thanks
As an ex hacker. Let me fill you in. Turning off any of these settings doesnt do anything for your privacy. Literally everything that comes and goes from the firestick is recorded at the modem level. Before your vpn, before your privacy settings etc. You're literally not doing anything to Amazon's data collection. If you want to... then get a router. Install ddwrt on it and customize it heavily. Then you can control your traffic.
If I could give this 1000 likes I would.. my firestick was lagging and buffering nonstop.. I did everything you said and actually watched an entire movie without it stopping once .. if I ff or rw before it would freeze up .. after this my worked as if I was watching a DVD. It's perfect 👌 thank you for the information 😊
Nice and clear tutorial. I haven’t turned on my fire stick in so many months but I think I already turned off most of these. I have an Xbox. A Roku and a chromecast so depends on what I feel like streaming with. I always felt the fire stick was a tad laggy compared to my other devices. The Xbox UI is much more satisfying to use than Roku or fire stick. I’ll go double check my settings today and try my firestick again. I upgraded my original one for a newer one early this year because it was on some sort of crazy sale, but I found I still don’t use it all that often.
Dark Revenge72 I’m still a big fan of popcorn time on my computer. Will spend some time with my firestick this weekend and maybe liberate it since it’s just sitting unused on my tv.
Dude you are awesome. I watched 6 videos and non helped my. Your video got mine to work. 2 important point you mentioned. "Firestick works on all TV smart and not smart" And "make sure your HDMI is at 1080 p" Other videos dont mention this. Only my HDMI3 port is 1080. SO when I was plugging it onto HDMI 1 and 2, the firestick did not work. After watching your video I found out it must be 1080 Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us.
I believe settings such as these are just to give the impression that we actually have control over our devices and they are monitored whether off or on unfortunately. I'm still making the adjustments.... Just in case
I was thinking the same thing ,but what about turning them off will make them think that we are doing something behind there back, you know what I'm trying to say 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you! This was very helpful and timely as I was multi-tasking watching YT on my phone while also watching stuff on my tv using my Fire Stick when I came across your video. 🤣
Good info!! Couldn't help but giggle at the remote pointing at different parts of the screen. You could say it was just pointing but I'm going to believe he is instinctively pointing at what he's trying to manipulate.
Thank you for sharing this information... I am going to clear up my firestick today! Yes I have the IPVanish and love the feeling of being protected while streaming.
I'm new to your channel and I appreciate whatever info you're sharing. Thankfully you speak in a clearly understandable way that's not so rushed that I have to constantly re-watch the content you're sharing. Thank you
Isn’t it ironic that the reason I am seeing this video is that I recently researched Firesticks because Disney wasn’t working on mine. Thanks for the info.
Your video was so helpful and your explanation was so easy to follow. I just finished the Fire Stick in the bedroom and I am on my way to do the one on the living room TV. I am subscribing to Richman Knows Tech.
This is WONDERFUL information. As a Customer that buy all of the TECH gadgets, whether TV,comps phones.,... ETC.,. We to stand up for others and ourselves. For that matter anything type of, " MERCHANDISE". 😁👍🤷
I've mobdro all the sport movie channels just loaded them up.took me all friggin day.if I go into any of these settings am I going to loose all my hard work.i love free tv.but nice to hear that there is people out there trying for us.take care buddy out there.
Been doing this since I first got a Firestick years ago. Also, I've turned off Whisper for games, so many times, and it always turns back on by itself.
I'm very new to this but have computer background experience. I also would leave notifications on for updates.. if you don't mind me asking, what build are using and do you use Real Debian ( I believe it's called ) Thanks in advance. I want to set this up correctly.
Interesting video but what most people don't know is that even if you turn this stuff off, its not really off. Like Google, Amazon still collects all your data and privacy and by clicking these settings to the off position will only make you as the customer feel like your safe and secure but little do you know when you sign up for an Amazon account they still have the right to collect all your data. Don't be fooled by turning these off, Amazon will always collect everything you do with your Firestick, including listening through Alexa. Be smart and don't be naive and gullable.
Thanks for the video, i followed your instructions but afterwards youtube and IPTV wouldn't work, youtube came back the next morning but the iptv still doesn't work, everything comes up ok but it won't play anything, i will go back through and undo what i did plus am waiting on a new micro sd card then will try to download something else.
Nice and informative. That's a good start to keep user data a little more save. Maybe take it a step further and get rid of the remote with its microphone; there are alternatives like Logitech Harmony, wich can control FireTV, too. Just without the everlistening Amazon ears. And to make it geeky: set up a PiHole, add Trackerslists and such stuff. It really helps. But don't over-do it; you have to sacrifice at least a few data to use your device ;)
I bet those services also slow the device down. You might want data monitoring turned on if you are on a metered internet connection so you can keep track and not go over.
Yes, data monitoring is useful if you have a data limit set by your ISP. I have updated that in my recent update to this video which you can find here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0O-zWHOqq0Q.html
I do not have a problem with Amazon knowing we watch Disney Plus and ITV Player, no big deal. Please explain why you think it is wrong Amazon to know what I watch? I have nothing to hide.
You say to use a vpn service and disable all the tracking info. If you are using a vpn they will not be able to track you because your ip address is masked. Great video
