Whilst a bit cheesy, due to the fact it needed to delivery so much so quickly, this is a really nice authentic showing of the Halo Combat Evolved Book. I really liked this. I would love it to have been a proper full game to be honest.
The books its even more depressing. 100s of odst survived but the ship they were on truth and reconciliation was infected with the flood. And they blew it up while escaping the ring. With the help of pvt Jenkins of course
3 times? halo Ce, halo 2, it was mentioned in 3, and if were not counting the little side videos (which i dont even think it is shown being blown up in any of them) and this one makes 3 times. i dont think it was ever shown in halo 4, or 5.
Not like that XD I said that phrase because ODST have saved the galaxy also, not directly, but indirectly. Alpha Nine by getting Virgil and the plans of Truth, Fireteam Raven by saving Chief from the PoA, and so on. They deserve to be legends such as Spartans.
The7DirtyWords I was wondering if they would do that. Glad to see Silva made it in. Would have been cool to see Silva interrogate a Flood infected Jenkins though. That was an interesting scene.
I’m just glad they finally showed us what Alpha base looks like, who Major Silva and Wellsley is, and the events of the scorpion run after the marines raided the Autumn for supplies. This is all events from Halo the Flood, and I’m just glad we get a visual version of it
This takes directly from the book Halo The Flood. They should make a full game about the campaign to protect PoA in installation 04. It's an interesting story.
I was referring mostly to the fact that both teams died fighting, and Halo Reach is my favorite in the series. You're allowed to have an opinion though, but try not to be so critical.
Paranoid Shadow that statement couldn’t be any more wrong. Halo 4 is objectively worse and people could argue that Halo 5 also is even though it has one of my favorite multiplayers of the series.
Gonzales98 Yup, I agree. Oh well. Opportunity missed. I'd love to have a covenant campaign that takes place during the events of halo ce. Like having the role of being an elite strike team member. Would be so dope!
Love the mix between reach and Halo:CE maps. Story seems legit. I do why so many people are bitching, this is fucking awesome! Brings new people to the franchise without changing it in the mainline games. Also I grew up loving going to arcades so this it badass
I mean rather have an arcade game that entertains me when going to a place like dave and busters, rather than a spinoff that takes developers off infinite considering the last 2 343 games were not close to being done (mcc:broken and halo 5: not even close to being complete on release)
I've beaten this game at least three times at Dave & Buster's, but I can only watch the cutscenes here because the people I play with always skip them without bothering to ask first. Thanks for showing me what I was missing.
It's Raw Thrills............. Alien Armageddon, Terminator Salvation, Jurrasic Park, The Walking Dead, Big Buck Hunter, Target: Terror (naming all the shooting games I remember playing from Raw Thrills).
As a Halo fan that lives in Latin America this game really is a bummer, since it looks like a fun experience which I doubt I will ever get to play since there are no D&Bs here, but I really hope that this game gets adapted for Xbox or Pc
The push to secure the crash site is probably one of the most epic scenes in Halo. Reminds me of world war 2’s africa campaign with the british/germans.
Had to come watch this because after me and my brother got through the whole thing some kids joined in next to us played the last like 3 minutes and then skipped the final cutscene. I was so pissed
if you look at it like in the RU-vid home it says 3:43, but if you click on it, it will say 3:42. So technically you and I are right and wrong at the same time :)
I enjoy this "wah! this conflicts with small details in the halo cannon! why are there falcons?" this is why I both love and hate the halo community. on 1 hand its great that we have people dedicated to the lore and love it. on the other ots cancer because nothing is allowed to be updated. We are literally complaining about vehicles that can have a possible reason to be on the pillar of autumn, but because they were created after the fact and are not mentioned it is a terrible crime committed that they appear in this arcade game. not to mention the inclusion of falcons did not change any of the events on the halo ring.
Bungie's Blue Flames well in the first cut scene of odst there is much more character then most of this game, so its a writing thing not just it being a arcade game
TBH I feel relieved to know that those ODST were the only one alive on Halo (until they die) because at the end of Halo 1 and Halo Ce I was depressed when Cortana said there was no UNSC alive when I blew up the ring and now I don't feel like shit when blowing up the ship while no other UNSC soldiers were alive other then those ODST that was going to die in the end by the flood.
Currently the game's only at the Dave 'n Busters in Rosemont, Illinois as part of a pre-launch test. The game will be coming to more D&B's before the end of the summer, and even more locations further down the line.
Fred Mcgilucudy It's fantastic, I would recommend it as an entry book to Halo's extended universe Edit: this was actually the first Halo book I read so naturally I have a high opinion of it
you can download a copy on PDF anywhere now for the book, its called Halo: The Flood and its written by the amazing guy himself Eric Nylund, the descriptions and detail of the book is amazing as everyone has awesome spot lights, from the perspectives of the marines and the perspectives of the covenant. Also don't expect fireteam raven to be in the book since these guys just came out of nowhere for the arcade announcement haha
