Thanks Greg. I checked all the parameters and they were fine. I disconnect the low oil level sensor because the oil level was low, I try to started it and it present the same problem, I reconnect the sensor, fill the tank with higher octane gasoline and the engine starts, I accelerate it manually for a few minutes and it's like new. . Regards Daniel
Someone I know is working on this exact generator same problem. The VF Module is a "variable frequency oscillator " that disables the lockout solenoids on both the demand regulator and carburetor. Its sensing engine frequency so it stays in a narrow range (58hz to 62.5hz) If it falls outside this range it will shut the engine down. If the board fails it will prevent the engine from starting up. If you disconnect both connectors from it and start the generator, look at the display panel. If you see 120/240 output, the VFO is bad, if no display at all, the AVR is bad. Murphys law sake of mentioning, you can still have output voltage and no display if that meter unit is bad. Thus why probing with a DMM is key.
Did you ever track this problem down? I have a generator with the same problem. It will start, run a couple seconds, and then the light goes out and the engine dies. Something in the control system is killing the engine before it can get up to speed.
From other videos that show it work on LP, when they turn the switch to LP you can clearly hear the "psshttttt" from the gas being let in the engine almost like when you pop a beer bottle. I couldn't hear it in yours. This is my exact problem, no gas noise when I turn the switch to LP. Generator will work fine on normal gasoline. It did the exact same as yours, a bit of startup then dies. No idea what's going on. I suspect a bad switch.
