I think the checking with queen could’ve worked in a rapid game where the king d3 may not even be considered in the calculation by the opponent as it looks too risky.

The position up to Qa4 is known theory. The move played before this has been d5. Alireza presumably forgot his prep at this point or possibly had a hullucination. He spent 50 minutes on Qa4.

Kd5 isn't defended. Ke5 is technically better, due to the possibility of a king exchange. But Nxe5 retains the king, and hence Firouzja wins.

4:30 why not Q to a4 CHECK then if pawn push, pull queen back to original square and white is still being crushed with no good way to block with that pawn now NOT defending the knight and no piece can block and be defended also. AH! I hadn't watched the vid past 4:30 and wow, he chose that same move. I think it works. Let me stop typing and just watch. hehehe Okay, well, I still think that idea could have worked. When white king to d3 just check with bishop. If horse takes, queen is there for another check. king is forced back to c2! anyway.... what do I know? I can't beat Fritz 6 on beginner level half the time.

I want to make some videos of my own (not chess, don't worry 😄) but have no idea what production/editing software to use or how to learn. Can I ask you for advice? I like how you input other images and video clips into your video but then go back to your main video of you speaking. I also like how perfectly synced your audio is with your video. Could you advise on any equipment, software, and learning materials? Thanks very much if you can

Why do you believe Alireza played well? Making a move like Qa4 after thinking for 30 minutes, which turned out to be a mistake, doesn't seem indicative of a strong game. Vidit, on the other hand, demonstrated a remarkable performance, maintaining focus and playing a meticulous game without unnecessary delays. Vidit is a lot better player than Alireza. You refer to a move as a brilliant move when it proves to be effective. Alireza's knight sacrifice, in this case, did not contribute positively to the game, making it less fitting to be labeled as a brilliant move. And in the end Alireza lost with giving 2 brilliancies which didnt work. lol. Stop glorifying losers and appreciate the winner.
