I love the original. This is very very different from the original. But it is equally awesome. I mean, Jesus, this is fucking fantastic!

Completely agree; the big challenge is preserving what we love about the original while adding a take. This does that perfectly. Gets that haunting melody from the original with the change of tempo and instrumentation. Good on them.

@@royfr8136 If you're not actively looking for it, yeah, but it's just ignorant to think there isn't a ton of talent in the music industry. I mean... yes this is a great cover... but it IS a cover. I would say a great musician who can't write good music is the equivalent of a great DH who can't field or run. That's not even to say this group can't write good music, I'm just saying that I'm sick of people barfing out a bunch of nonsense about how there's a lack of talent in XYZ industry. Pro Tip: turn off the radio once in a while, and plop some of your favorite bands into Pandora, and enjoy the experience of being introduced to a bunch of stuff you've never even heard of. Half of my top ten favorite bands were introduced to me this way. You're welcome...

I do an acoustic version of this song as well. It's a testament to Kate's songwriting talent that a song written on a fairlight costing in the six figures translates so we'll to a far more affordable acoustic guitar

This is probably one of the easier KB songs to cover. A lot of her back catalogue is virtually impossible for anyone else to touch and not sound silly.

Singing is a big part of our culture. We sing in kindergarten, learn an instrument, sing in choirs and has a strong industry. Naturally some beautiful talents grow in such an environment. Johanna and Klara's father used to be a punk rocker so I guess they grew up with instruments at home.

Being critically acclaimed is subjective as well.. People don't agree with the critics all the time. And if you would have read my comment completely I said " Hip Hop POP crap" So before you judge my comment read it and understand it. I don't really think it so insightful to sound like everybody else.. Hip Hop Pop is so derivative. Everybody uses the same beats. Will never understand how Drake and Kanye got so popular.. I personally liked it when it was called rap.. Grand Master Flash, Kool Moe Dee, Afrika Bambaataa, UTFO, Doug E. Fresh, Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three, Sugarhill Gang.... the list goes on. Today's crap is so overproduced. I appreciate that you defend the music you like though, I do respect that a lot. But you have to agree (I'll give you Kendrick because I don't think his stuff is poppy at all, so don't include him) that a lot of Hip Hop POP is made just to be made. Same beats as every other song. It becomes too much.. Peace out and enjoy what you wanna enjoy, but dig a little deeper sometimes.
