First Aid Kit on SVT game show På Spåret, performing the Bette Midler song The Rose from the soundtrack of the movie with the same name. Aired 19 February 2021. www.firstaidkitband.com
Let´s finally get this right: Bette Midler ALSO covered "The Rose". Amanda McBroom wrote an recorded the song, with Lincoln Mayorga on piano sometime in the mid-sixties, on Sheffield Lab Records. It is a very fine song, and Amanda´s voice is no less than stunning.
I'm with you, bugs me the hell out of me when ppl don't know where a song comes from. When I hear ppl talk about Darius Ruckers song Wagon wheel I wanna rip my own ears off 🤣 Try not to scream that's a Bob Dylan song that was perfected by Old crow
I love their harmonies and do justice to the originals also love running up that hill. I was a young teen when Bette had this song and movie. Changed my life forever, very inspirational
Absolutely FAKtastic. Klara always adds her own little touch to their covers and it is amazing how well it fits. Truly beautiful women and Sweden should be proud. Once again Patrik I thank you. Please look after yourself in this weird world we currently live in and hopefully Klara and Johanna will do the same. Roll on more posts buddy. Cheers from the land down under 👍
I'm not crying! You're crying! I've always loved this song, I've heard so many renditions of it, even as a kid hearing it sung by our pastor and his four man folk group, complete with mandolin, that was my favorite version...till right now.
@@Fanniiiy you're both not wrong. it can take some time after birth for your body to return to "pre-pregnancy", its not like it pops out and ur abdomen just deflates like a balloon! so many people still look pretty pregnant after they give birth.
@@benjaminbankwin5690 How am I wrong? I know she's not pregnant again and I thought it was rude to write that because I know how insecure many women feel about their weight after giving birth...
I found this to be even better at a custom speed of 0.85 since it seemed a touch too fast for me. I love everything Klara & Johanna do, but this seemed a little rushed, granted everyone puts their own spin on covers.
Wow,en av mina favorit melodier, det var trevligt.Trevligt också att se flickorna så ofta på spåret.Dom har ju ett bra band bakom sej också men jag saknar Melvin´s steel, jag tror att den hade platsat denna gången.
This beautiful musical experience was 80% brought to us by Mrs. Amanda McBroom, who composed this wonderful thing. 20% goes to First Aid Kit for their impeccable interpretation, unfortunately -100% goes to Mr. Espen Lind from Norway, who stole the most important part of the song for his song "When Sussanah cries". But as far as I know, a lady like Amanda McBroom didn't sue him for it anywhere and she didn't even want her money from him, which was earned by the stolen remake.😆..
@@pilsner2b can you tell me how to switch to a Swedish keyboard? What I really want - can you tell me how to move from the USA to Sweden, where my music would not only be more popular, their gov. would probably not be trying so hard to end my life as our Bush league & T rump gov. has been.
@@gordonanderson3111 I Can write most letters (European) letters, pressing Alt+ a number Alt + 148 is swedish ö but in Denmark they write this letter ø that's the alt key + 155 PS An american friend called this o with dots, funny O
@@Fanniiiy With much respect to your beliefs, rather than making the world a beautiful place, religion has (arguably) often taught the world more about intolerance and hatred of ‘others’ than it has about inclusion and love. True faith, if it is turned into positive actions, is a beautiful thing, but you do not have to turn to Jesus to spread love and positivity.
@@mungofinalfi4480 check out bette midlers version of the song, then check out fak live version of their song "you are the problem"... bette is singing for the life and passion that was janis joplin, while klara and joanna (in "..the problem") sing with the passion of janis! What I mean is that they only are mailing it in,lately..they need to get the hell out of sugary pop shit that dominates sweden and create what they have always done..their own sound!
@@johnmcmillan9415 This is a quiz show, - allways covers and the guest artist more or less have to sing the song they get from the team making the show.
