my curiosity about the glou glou loupé brought be here to a very impressive looper that I didn't even know that I already have in my studio!! yaaaay!! all of your vids & compositions on-the-fly are stellar, mr. lafosse. bravo!! & thank you(!) for these vids.
Very helpful! Thanks for addressing the latency issue...I was wondering about this. I agree with your assessment: it's noticeable, but you can live with it, depending on what you're doing. An adjustable buffer would be great, especially if it could be saveable for each preset.
I am a bit confused about the multiply function, is it possible to overdub and automatically increase (multiply) the length of the loop while overdubbing so the new loop length becomes the length of the overdub?
Thanks for tuning in! I know the Beebo was recently updated with pedal assignments, and I've been meaning to review the latest firmware versions. So, let me check that out and get back to you in a bit... Stay tuned!
Thanks for tuning in! Right now, documentation for Loopler is very minimal. The Poly Users Group on Facebook has been a very helpful resource for me, and this gentleman's videos (and patches) have been particularly enlightening: ru-vid.com/show-UCWPXwfOAmhtsmgRCs25pZMwvideos
Sweet video. I've had the Beebo a while but just updated to the looper. I have a question though... How do you hear the guitar before recording the loop? I only hear something after I press record and play. I can hear if I run a dry in directly to the out, but that's not what you did here. I also played with the dry mix in the loopler but that did nothing. I also couldn't get the feedback to work like yours. It got softer eventually but when I turned it up, it started soft. Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in! There actually IS a direct connection from the input to the output. If you look at 2:34, it's the horizontal patch connection right below "tap here to enter preset description." Not sure what you're experiencing with Feedback. I try to always make sure it's at 100% before recording or overdubbing anything. If you still have issues, I can send you the actual preset used in this video, and you can see if that solves things - let me know. :)
@@andrelafosse Thanks for the reply. Ok, I'll play some more with it for now and let you now... thanks! By the way, I meant to say in my last comment, the feedback remained soft when I turned it back to 100% (not started soft... stayed soft.). I'll experiment more though.
Quick question 🙋🏻♂️? Is the loopler module a stereo module? If i have stereo effects before Beebo can i connect 2 ins to the common loopler in module and then 2 outs from the common loopler out module to maintain my stereo signal down the line?
Sorry for the delay - I've never tried looping a stereo signal, so I wasn't sure! But yes, you can loop and maintain stereo imaging. The trick is to create two separate "loop common in" and "loop common out" modules, and route those to and from the respective I/O you want to use.
Hi! Sorry for the delay. Bringing down the feedback for an an individual loop causes it to fade out. The lower the feedback level, the faster the fade. So, lowering feedback on loop 1 causes it to fade out, while keeping loop 2 feedback at 100% lets it keep looping without fading.
i'm getting my Beebo desktop in the mail Wednesday from Perfect Circuit Audio...one of the 1st thing i want to do is experience with this App...i imagine 3.0 is going to be shipped. Do i need to load 3.5 firmware to take advantage of this Looper?
I would definitely update to 3.5, as there were substantial improvements/additions to loopler with that version. 3.6 is allegedly around the corner, but I'm not sure what that has in store for loopler.
@@andrelafosse Thanks for your reply. i hope it's not difficult to update. i will check there website for 3.5....Can't wait to get mine in the mail. i was going to wait for the Eurorack version but i am not a fan of being on a waiting list so i opted for the desktop. Really like your video..
@@rhampton1914 I've updated the firmware a couple of times, and it's not too bad. The main thing is that the update needs to be put on a USB flash drive, and that drive then needs to be connected to the Beebo. Just connecting the Beebo to a computer won't work; it needs a flash drive inserted, to find and import the update.
@@andrelafosse oh okay thank you very much for telling me that before I get it I was thinking the other way around. Thanks for letting me know as soon as I get it in the mail I'll probably do that
2 very simple questions I have after watching countless videos on many pedals. 1: can this do a multi resonator effect similar to the resonator in Omnisphere where it's 4 resonators automatically tuned to a scale or key and that key is selectable so all the intervals between the resonators step into line immediately. 2: can I also use it as a slow subtle vibrato across the master to give me that broken pitch effect ? If it can do both of those things I'm in. I've asked this 2 other places and not got a response
Hello! Those may seem like very simple questions, but I'm afraid they're both far outside my knowledge. So far, I've only really worked with the Beebo's Loopler module. Have you tried the Poly Facebook group? That's been an excellent resource for me, personally: facebook.com/groups/polyeffects/
@@andrelafosse no matter. By pure chance I found the exact resonator I wanted. The menq qi wingie There aren't too many videos of it around which is why it was hard to find but it looks amazing
Kind of, sort of, but it's pretty erratic and unpredictable in its current form. Unrounded Insert (ending Insert with Record, which is a new one to me) works quite well, though!
I honestly have no idea! I don't think I've ever run more than four loops simultaneously. Also, I really haven't done anything with the non-Loopler modules in Beebo (which is kind of insane, TBH, given how much stuff there is in there). Additional modules will add to the CPU as well. Sorry I can't be of more help.
:) The Poly user's group on Facebook is a great resource for info on this thing. I still use it to get my own questions answered! Check it out, if you haven't: facebook.com/groups/2524843897774483
