I just want to thank you SO MUCH for never using "click bait-y" titles or thumbnails, not participating in trendy RU-vid tags, and not saying things like "please like, comment and subscribe"! haha. Which (for me at least) is just the giant cherry on top of what we already love about you and your channel!! You are the only channel I'm allowing myself to regularly watch in 2022 and it's already been one of the best decisions I've made this year! 🙂 thanks for being you.
Couldn't agree more!! I'd like to add that she also does so much charity for her community, landscaping local colleges, churches, social service centers, parks, and even gives away her excess to food pantries and other members of her community. It doesn't look like it's for show, it seems totally genuine and I'm proud to support a channel that does more good for everyone! Just so many positives to name...
Oh here we go again! Laura creates another absolutely stunning arrangements and I want to run to the garden centers to see what I can find to recreate something similar! Laura, your eye for beauty is such a gift.
We are in 4a. No nurseries are even open until mid April and they close mid June. I have to garden vicariously through Laura 6 mos out of the year! 😏☺️
When you put the second container together I kinda felt a bit proud of myself for recognising and naming the plants you used! I was like "are those Pansies? And that is definitely a Viola!" As a person who is mostly into indoor houseplants, realising how much I have learned about outdoor gardening from your channel is simply incredible! Thank you so so much for all the knowledge you keep on sharing with us! Also those containers look immaculate! Can't wait for more spring projects! Much love from Germany! 🤍🤍
I felt the same way I was like oh that is, and that is... She truly has passed on so much knowledge and opened up a world of plants that I never would have known before!!
Forget punxsutawney phil, you are now forever my sign that Spring is right around the corner!, lol. You can’t imagine how much joy it brought me to watch you create one of your signature overfilled planters!!! I’m really new to this gardening stuff, started 4 vegetables and couple of herbs in late June because of you and they were wonderful. Can’t wait to do more for my “second garden” this Spring!! For someone who hated dirt and only enjoyed nature, AKA outside, from a window, you’ve changed my life! Thanks to you and your overflowing planter loving heart!
I have to admit, when you picked out those plants at the nursery, I wasn't impressed with your selection. I thought they were too "bland"; too much of the same color. But seeing them together in the new (beautiful!) containers, I was blown away. They are gorgeous together! You just keep doing "you", Laura. Beautiful!
I had the exact same reactions, both while she was buying and after she arranged both baskets. These arrangements are a testament to Laura's good insight into plant beauty.
These just may be my 2 favorite spring arrangements ever! And those metal baskets! Ahhhmazing! It’s going to be fun to see you change them up through the seasons. Thank goodness you finally purchased them. Bravo Laura! 👏💖
"This is the kickoff guys," ahhh yeeaaahhh bring on the spring!! Reality is, I'm in Ontario, Canada and we are under 50cm of snow and spring is such a loooong ways away. No worries I'll just watch Laura 😎
I'm in St Thomas, Ontario and we just got a huge snow dumping too. This video is just what we 'Ontarians' from Canada needed! Thank you Laura for feeding our garden souls!
Hey we didn't get as much as you guys but here in Indiana, U.S. we just got more snow. "They" said that our spring is going to be slow and cold this year. I too, will be watching Laura. Lol
Sorry you guys! That still all sounds rather chilly! Here in Andalusia, Spain our almond blossoms are still in bloom, my tulips are almost all up and I've now got petunias in the ground. Sending you lots of warmth from here! 💚
I’m also in Ontario Canada… we are a zone 5. Some say close to a zone 6…. Laura says she is also a zone 5 but I don’t understand how that is possible when she can start putting plants outside weeks before us!! I watched her plant spring planters outside last year…ranunculus etc. My garden centre told me “not a chance…way too soon to be outside”. I don’t even plant the vegetable garden until the first of June 😔
That was so instructional, Laura. With the greenhouse being heated & the extra space, you are able to show us more of your many ideas. That made it so pleasant to watch. The urns turned out beautiful.
This made my winter weary heart so happy! The soothing white and bright punches of green are exactly what I’ve been craving. Headed to my local garden center to gather up something similar to make this weekend. Thank you for the constant inspiration
Good morning from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA 🇺🇸 I love to watch your face as you are helping at the nursery. I can see the glint in your eyes....Oo, that would look good at MY house! May you always have that enthusiasm 💓 Happy Gardening Fellow Potheads👩🌾👍
First containers!!! Thanks for taking us along for the shopping and then the planting. I was really excited to see the thumbnail and know we were going to see you put everything together. I’m living on a catamaran currently in the Bahamas and you give me my plant fix daily! BTW I have a full garden onboard, tomatoes, kale and peppers are my best producers.
That's fantastic! I've often wondered what it would be like to live on a boat, not sure if I'd get seasick 🤪 it's so awesome that you're still gardening even though you're on a boat😀
What a perfect start to the 2022 growing/garden season!! I also learned how to plant up a container with openings!! Beautiful containers & plants - love them!! 😍💚🤍🌿
Your spring container color combinations are always so beautiful - the creamy whites, buttery yellows and so many layers of green!! 😍 A favorite for sure!
I love the structure and "tone" of those containers. I probably would have passed on them, since they're so "open," but seeing how you "closed" them up with moss and burlap has really opened my mind to more possibilities. Thank you.
I never cease to be amazed by the amount of plants Laura can cram into a container. As I watch I always think "surely that is going to be the last plant" and then you hear "now on to our next layer". Containers look amazing! So excited to see how the garden transforms even more this year!
🪴Good morning to GA Family and Laura who brings us all together. It snowed three inches here but I did buy two packages of seeds yesterday to plant for my herb container. What beautiful containers, Laura, so glad you got them! Enjoy a wonderful day everyone-happy planting ☕️🌷💕
I love the combination ,just perfect 🤩. Laura I love how you see plants, containers and greens and mix them up in your mind and come up with such beautiful containers . Respect.
Great job Laura! The green and white themed plants look amazing! I wish I was still your age. I miss having that unlimited energy with projects, work and family. I am retired now, family has passed on and children too far away to see. Sharing your life touches the memories of my youth. Enjoy watching the love of your family, tradition and work ethic. My parents raised me the same way. Love ya sweet Laura! 🌸🌺👩🏻🌾🙏✝️❤️
New Gardner in Ohio: Good Morning! Absolutely love the color of your spring pots. I also like the idea that most of the plants can be used in the landscape. Thank you for the helpful tips.
Laura, you always put together the most amazing flowers in planters…. Love the new planter’s!!! You’re a great inspiration and I’m like you, all ready for spring 🥰
These are so beautiful. As I watch this video I am looking out our windows at a very iced over yard. We just finished getting a series of storms heavy snow followed by rain which melted most of the snow to have it freeze and then rain heavily turn to ice, then sleet which turned back to a little snow. The ground is so saturated with water and frozen that everything just sits there on the surface. I think I could literally go ice-skating on our lawn. I am so looking forward to the spring and all the beautiful containers and gardens you will be showing us how we can achieve them our self. My garden skills have improved tremendously since I came across your Channel. Thank you for all the inspiration and knowledge you have given us.
Those containers are so beautiful. You definitely have a green thumb. I think you are so cute when you are flower shopping and you act like you’ve never seen flowers before. I do appreciate your love for growing.
Truly, the good Lord has given you knowledge for the gift He has bestowed upon you. Thank you for keeping in tune, and for keeping the Garden of Eden clean, and beautiful. Love to you and your family.....can't wait for more spring in the air.
Question: Could you do a video where you show your favorite types of climbing roses? Some for both sun and shade as well as strong fragrant ones? I am looking to put one by my chicken coop and would love to see what you have had luck with or recommend.
After 6 years of “patio gardening” in our small apartment, my husband and I are closing on our FIRST home on a one acre lot 🥳🌻🌿🦋 I am so thrilled to practice everything I’ve learned from watching your channel for the past 4 years!!
Such beautiful containers, perfect for spring. This will be my first year designing flower containers, after being very inspired by this channel all winter.
I love tonal and monochromatic color schemes in pots. Sometimes it's hard to do at first, especially in the spring when our eyes are drawn to SO much needed color. But, green goes with everything, so I gather a variety of greens and then work on hues of single colors. The thing I love about these containers is you've created little Moon Gardens. That is beautiful!
Even though white flowers don’t tend to be my favorites, these particular ones in these containers are extra pretty! What a good eye you have, Laura!! I especially like that you can reuse them in the landscape! You always find a way to surprise me, when I don’t expect to be surprised!! 💚💚💚
I love your mom’s shed!! What a fun spot!! I really enjoy when you do videos with your sweet mom and sister. I love seeing you do things for and with mom.
Beautiful containers Laura! Really enjoyed seeing you select the containers etc on your day date and then to see the step by step in putting them together in this well produced video! I’ve never used burlap in my containers but will now. Also loved the tip of cutting it after the container is all put together. I’m in zone 8a on Vancouver Island 🇨🇦 and have a spring container in a slightly protected area at my front door with pussy willows, forced spring bulbs and primroses. Love your videos - thank you 😊
I really like how you did the second container w/different plants in the same color scheme, they compliment each other while still being able to use different plants, Excellent!
The pots are absolutely beautiful, as well the arrangement you placed in them. I enjoy your channel so very much. Been watching you for over two years now, and want to thank you so very much for all the tips and ideas that you share and inspire...
You are patient to wait to grab those gorgeous planters. The finished plantings are super lovely. Nothing says spring more than various shades of green with white. Very classy.
The planter is so pretty but when you placed the moss and filled it with those beautiful plants I was amazed. The colors and textures and gorgeous. As always great job Laura and thank you for the education and inspiration.
Good morning GA family! These are probably the most romantic planters I have ever seen! They made my heart feel so good this morning! Thank you Aaron and Laura for bringing us so much joy, beauty and inspiration!
Laura as soon as I watched yesterday, the video where you and Aaron went on a day date trip,! I went right online to order those rabbit pillows , their website did not offer those kind of things.. 😢 so I’ll have to live vicariously through you to enjoy those waffle GORGEOUS planters and those beautiful pillows.. 😍
What a feel-good video! And beautiful, practical selections too. I’ve been gardening for about 50 years, but you always teach me something new. Thank you!
Good morning my fellow GA addicts❣️. I garden here in Ohio. Laura has blessed US all this morning with a magical garden fix strait through OUR heart’s! Thank you for chasing away the winter blues and guiding Us to go plant something that brings Joy! How hard was it to slow down to show us every detail? This is why we flock to this channel , Laura just dropped the 🎤 and my cup runneth over🥰
Hellebores are great! I have one that stays green all year around and blooms all summer. A friend gave me starts for some others that have glossy, bright green foliage that always look like new, tender growth and die back every winter. I never knew the name of the plant (also called Linton Rose) until I started watching your channel. The comment community is very kind and very helpful as well. Thank you all. You are a highlight of my day.
@@GardenKath thanks for the spelling correction. I have only heard the term. My first plant had it written, but the tag was thrown away during planting five years ago.
There are also some hellebore varieties termed Christmas roses that start to bloom in December. In fact, mine started to bloom in November this year here in Richmond VA, zone 7a. They are still blooming beautifully and will continue to do so for many weeks to come.
Here it comes spring. You know it's here when the Containers come out. And really beautiful they are to all planted up with beautiful plants. Just so beautiful.
It really shouldn’t surprise me, but I’m always surprised and in awe of how many plants you fit into containers and they look so beautiful and never look overcrowded! We’re going into autumn here in NZ, but so excited to see what you do this spring and in particular all those bulbs you planted! Thanks for all the inspiration.
Windchills have been below zero over here in NW Iowa so it was such a breath of fresh air to see the planters. Put a smile on my face! Thanks for showing us your process of putting these open planters together, hugs!
First, I loved the containers when you purchased them, then I loved the plants when you selected those. But now that you have put it all together I am amazed at how beautiful and refreshing it is. It gives a promise of spring on a cold cloudy day. Thank you for the knowledge and skill you share. Thank you for the sanity and calm you show during these crazy times and thank you for the beauty you share.
Oh my gosh, at this point in the season I’m soooo thankful to be able to watch you start to plant! I’m up in a zone 4 so it’ll be a while yet for me. Can’t wait!!
Those arrangements turned out gorgeous! Helebores are so beautiful! The combinations and pops of chartreuse are so lovely. I really like the little white alpine flowers. I have never seen those before.
Lovely containers and I can't wait to see everything you planted last year blossom and fill in all the gardens. You bring so much joy to us all. A welcome respite from all of the craziness in the world! Bless you all. 🌲🌹🌳🌺 🌿🏵🌱🐞
Just loved the "Here we go!!". Gorgeous as always and I can't wait to imitate!!! I'm' up in Waterloo Ontario so winter still has a few things to say before I can get going planting. I wish you a great season. I will be one of the many enjoying your journey especially the first full year of your new green house. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
Laura, they are gorgeous and stunning! Those planters were a great find. Love the color combinations. Spring is right around the corner for you all! Have an awesome weekend and thank you to you, Aaron and your crew for bringing us inspiration and beauty each and every day!
It was a good thing I decided to watch you last night. I picked up a few hellebores (my first ever) a couple of weeks ago at the garden center. They were outside on a table in sun and I asked them about that, they said some varieties were ok with a few hours of morning sun. I left mine in the can and set them up outside waiting for better weather to put them in the ground. This week, we got really cold with our lows in the mid twenties. I came home yesterday and one of them looked really droopy, but I left it out and came in. Dinner and part way through your show when I learned they should be inside until they acclimate to the temperature, I ran out in the middle of the night and gathered my frozen new plants. I set them on my seed shelf I just set up in the room and am hoping for the best. Thank you for your information and knowledge.
It's Friday and you leave us with spring beauty. I'm starting to hate Friday's. That means no more GA until Monday. Pouting. Gorgeous hellebores. I emailed my local garden center and requested hellebores and what was coming. They responded right away with what was coming in their order and because of my interest they are getting more. It truly works talking to your garden center and making requests! Thank you Laura for hammering that point home!
Are you subscribed to the Garden Answer Highlights Channel? They schedule posts ahead for Sunday on there? We've all gotten a touch spoiled but, Laura and Aaron really do deserve some family time.
So beautiful ! I've been watching you for years, not having the conditions or courage to start, but this year, with a big big balcony to decorate, I have ambitious plans and you are my number one inspiration ! Thank you Laura, sending all the good vibes for a wonderful Spring ! Alexandra🌷
I was so happy to see this was a spring container video! I have been searching your older ones to get ideas. I am so ready to move into this time of year! Also looking forward to seeing your mom's potting shed. I think it was smart of you to mention it before you post it. I think many of us are looking forward to seeing it!
Have fun trying to ever top these pots! These are by for my favorite pots you have done and that's saying something! I can just see these pots, the bunny pillows you bought and the Hartley all together...be still my heart! Thank y'all for sharing.
I love these arrangements so much! It feels like they are gently pulling me out of the dulldrums of winter into the promise of spring. (Give me a few more weeks and I'll be ready for all the color.😄)
Oh, Laura you're getting me really excited for spring!!😁🌷🌱, I've already made a quite long list for when I go to my local garden center (hopefully next week!🙏) and I hope to find everything I want; primroses, violas, cyclamen, anemone and ranunculus bulbs, small evergreens, new house plants... and the list goes on! You're always so inspiring, I just don't get tired of watching your videos!! I can't wait for spring, raise your hand if you're the same😄✋🌲🪴🌼💮🌺🌿🌵🌸💐✨🌞
Oh Laura you just made my day ( planting a spring container) in this 15 degree Michigan morning with about 5” of snow ❄️. Thank you for helping me thinking that spring is around the corner 🌷🌞🌸
I start my day with your videos, best way I know to begin with a smile! And when I saw you were planting up those amazing metal basket containers… 😍😍😍!! After watching your date day video when you purchased them, I hoped it wouldn’t be long before you shared how you would use them! Such gorgeous plants and the perfect arrangement in both containers. “Here we go!” indeed. 😁 Bring on spring! Can’t wait to see what Garden Answer has in store for us this year!
