Been binge watching you now for a week to catch up and find you to be a totally genuine guy who is really showing the industry and all of its highs and lows. I used to do the continent in early mid nineties before mobile phones😂 and watching you is giving me great memories , I do think daily vlogs would be great but don't let it become a chore see how it goes. I've had my my class one just over two years. Last year and a bit been doing nightshift with a weekly trio to boulogne but since doing that I want to go further but I enjoy working with the small company that I'm in.
Good video! But i would really like to see some more loading/unloading, so that it is not only a driving video, and maybe tell us what you are loading/unloading. You are doing a great job and a fantastic idea to upload more often and shorter videos
Great vlog mate. Just a thought with the security checks, with the technology that’s available these days, have you thought about putting motion sensing cameras in the trailer? Perhaps one at front of headboard looking towards doors and then one from doors looking to headboard?
You keep that vehicle and trailer absolutely pristine! Pretty obvious to us all that you are extremely proud of your kit. It is an absolute beauty, especially lit up at night! Very interesting to see how you boys and girls do it over in Europe; I had one strapped to my back for over 40 years, but never drove outside the UK. I could always get myself into enough trouble at home, without have to go abroad and have the local gendarmerie shouting at me in French or German or whatever LOL Luckily I'm now retired, so I can now sit and enjoy watching you lot carry out your daily working lives! I tramped up and down around Italy and Bosnia in 1999 to 2001. I was young, single and hadn’t got a care in the world. Now 22 years one wife and four kids later I could not underestimate how tough being away for weeks or months at a time. It’s true, working away is brilliant in many ways, the sacrifices are many. Friends tend to move on when your away a lot, in spite of what they might say. If you love it, enjoy it as long as you can lad.👍
Just a point on being away. I live in Thailand but work out of Ireland. I do 8 and a half months in the cab (7 days a week),then 3 and a half months at home. Been doing this now for 20 years,all over Europe. It works for me and my wife is very understanding. Money is great. Anyway good luck with your videos and stay safe.
Good video, but didn;t see how you got out of that place in Valencia and you were lucky to get loaded with it being semana santa {easter week}, I know cos i live down near Sevilla and its a big thing here, every thing shuts down.keep up the good work.
Great vlogs Dave have you considered putting the Go Pro on the corner of the passenger seat which will enable us to see yourself driving and the road ahead at the same time
My 6 speed is quite rough at the smooth reversing at very low speed, tends to be very jerky movements and it is not fun when you have cars close. Your language skills are quite impressive i have to say.
Dave points stay on your licence now days 4 too 11 years depending on the offence .Dave them french drivers are funny ive seen them at 5AM in the cafe have a coffee and a brandy and a crousant before they set off its normal .

I started driving by doing part-time work for a few different companies mostly nights or weekends to get my experience up I would recommend that route and it builds relationships with different companies

Am currently learning to do my c&e and I get to shut around the yard and I can back you on not being able to control a auto gearbox, no matter how little throttle you put on it’s always needing more then it’s too much
Probably one of the smarter DAF's I've seen - very tidy. Can see why the Poms all go to Spain for their holidays, sun and endless blue skies, much like our winters here. In fact, based on what your showing us in these vlogs, I'm quite impressed with the place. The daily vlog is most welcome but only if time permits - it sees the journey and planning presented in almost real time which just adds to the 'immersion'. Much enjoyed!
