Hi mate, i really love your videos for some reasons: the music or the soundtrack you choose in every video, the honesty with which you speak about your job and off course that you like to overtake another trucks and you show the overtakings. I do really appreciate the last one. Cheers and be safe at the route.
Always impressed with your professional attitude. Your quite the problem solver. Shitty trip but your took it all on board as a learning experience. Enjoyed the vid and the honesty. Keep up the good work.
Love your vlogs and Thankyou for doing the one about coming down the blanco as I’ve said before my old man had a runaway brake failure on there keep up the good work and massive respect to ya😵💫
Hi David great volg as usual glad it worked out well for you in the end, I found your truck at truckfest but only saw a ladder leaning up against the unit twice 😂 , truck was looking good though mate 👍🏻#thumbsup the second visit some guys said you had gone for a drink 🍺 can't say I blame you now that was Saturday, so maybe next time I'll catch up with you all the best mate.
Hi 👋🏻 Dave. WOW that was a really eventful trip 😮 So glad you’ve got back home safe buddy. So glad the customer reimbursed you for your troubles 👍🏻 Hopefully you’ll get some more work off them as you’re a really decent guy. It’s a real shame trucking can be plagued with immigrants 😩 Even back when I did European in the 80s we had trouble at Transmarck 😪 with them. But I loved the Pidou 😆 No satnav or mobiles back then so chatting with other drivers was the was we did it 👍🏻 Great listening to you helping out your newbie driver and teaching him your way of doing things. As long as he listens he’ll be ok 👌 Take care cheers Stevie oh the truck is looking really smart 👍🏻
You must be a saint of a person. I struggle with naughty car drivers all around Uk, i can't imagine the amount of stress you been trough when the officer pronounce the word that you are under arrest. I mean i can cope with stress but not yet at that such level. As you said is an experience but hopefully it wont happen anymore. Stay safe Dave. You are doing right. Your videos are always amazing. Ciao
Appreciate you sharing your experience, just passed my class 1 with zero faults. The adventures you describe regardless of everyday difficulties is something I'm working towards, my spanish is ok but my French is very rusty so whilst I'm getting some experience I'm going to try to improve my French.. Good work m8. Thx again.
Zero faults...!!, well done m8...👍 I passed my class 1 at the 2nd attempt and I had 14 faults out of 16...😂😂😂, he said you passed by the skin of your teeth...😂😂😂 but I've had no problems driving the past 20 yr tho'....🤙🤙😄😄
fair play Dave for keeping a level head on that eventful trip, i know i would need a spare set of under crackers, keep up the great vlogs really enjoying them and great info.
When you hit a hurdle David you always overcome this situations and keep calm wile acting in a very professional manner. These blogs are very interesting ,100% true & honest .
Hi David love the channel. Just came across Trucker girl for the first time. She's pretty. Problem I checked out her truck and it says the MOT expired August 2023. Not a good look for DC European running trucks that don't have MOT.
Blinding vid mate what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, no worries about being busy we get it, onwards and upwards. Did you find out what the cars driving round with horns blaring was?
12:40 There is surely a way of having camera's inside/outside of your trailers to help prove things like that, if you can get it to live feed to the unit you could see inside for security as well. Units have camera's all over now, it can't be that hard, keeping them there might prove difficult 😂
Have you considered registering as a French or Spanish company? That way you get easy travel across Europe and the UK isn't doing checks so you'll fly through Dover customs.
1 reason i do not use dover or calais i go by brittany ferries if heading to spain and therecis other ways to get to europe depends where youv are going plus now i registed my truck in italy so i have italian number plates
If you want to save some time in the future you could make a Word document with all the tips and tricks for trucking instead of having to explain it to every single new employee.
Back in the 80s had the police at the Aachen border pull out a gun on me as he was asking for my CMR which I didn't need as I was running loads for the British forces so was exempt from having this, but the copper was having none of it, had to pay him 200 Deutsche Marks to be let go then had to reclaim it back when home in the UK, the joys of running abroad in the 80s/90s and early 2000s was so much fun with just the maps and no mobile, stopping to pay at every peage and paper work at every border..still better than UK driving though. keep it going bud..
I drove for over 35 years and loved it. I also never cooked in my trucks unless going to the artic. I would make a few sandwiches. to go from the Dempster Turn off to Inuvik NWT. In case of a blizzard in the winter. Or a rain wash out road road in the summer
Years ago I picked up bulk beetroot from a farm near Paris. Delivery was to their other farm in Yorkshire. Bloke wanted to put cases of wine in the load and offered me €200 for my trouble. Politely declined to get messed up in his smuggling shit show…
Are they? Can I get a number because there’s so many people that need help, maybe that taxi service can help them avoid risking their lives on boats or jumping trucks.
It is not illegal to cross the channel to claim asylum in the UK no matter what the government claims, in fact it's the only legal route to asylum for most people seeking asylum in the UK.
When it rains, it pours eh. I hope your customer will reimburse you for that £1,500.00 you had to pay to have your lorry released. It is afterall, their fault, albeit unintended and an administrative accident. Pity that there isn't an app that you could put on your phone to scan the barcode and that the app then informs you that all documents are accounted for or flag up an error or missing document. There is no way of checking anything by just looking at a barcode. I don't know how feasible it would be as essentially the problem was with the lack of a record of payment of tax. Still, if there are sites that can tell you all about a car's history including MOT, road tax and insurance, I can't see why there can't be something for lorry drivers carrying goods internationally.
Tell you 1 think DC all the Money UK Government sent over 2 France to Stop these Migrants and they not doing Absolutely Nothing and waste of Tax Payers money and I've Bought 1 them Duel miles from Midland and Downloaded the CB app and hope have chat with you on there sometime and I'm an Owner Driver like your self and I've got another Truck comeimg a 630hp Actross and 2 Brand New Fridge Trailers so Happy Trucking DC😉
Drove a new flagship Daf today the 530 XG+ not impressed just didn’t feel a well put together as the last Daf I drove that was 21 plate same spec…Maybe it’s because I’ve come out of 77Os only had the Daf for 2 days as mine was getting a service and tyres changed…underwhelming to say the least underpowered when ya running heavy..top Tip here the blue chip companies are the worst to work for charlatans because their so big they think they can get away with pulling stunts like this
