@@LetsMeetAbroadMalaysia gain its independence from the British through all 3 main races (malay, chinese and indian) working together. Back before independence, The malay were given the task to manage the security of the country by the british (arm forces & police force), while the indians ran the government administration and the Chinese ran the small businesses and manage the british businesses (rubber & tin). Thus why all 3 races needed to agree to work together for the British to give us independence. Because without either, their businesses would be in jeopardy. Because all had a hand in our independence, everyone agree on allowing each race to maintain its cultural heritage. We choose the path of integration oppose to assimilation like in Thailnd or Indonesia where the minor races have lost thier mother tongue and even have to change their ethnic names to a local name. Malaysia is one of a few countries i know where each major ethnicity have government sponsored schools but taught in their own mother toungue.
@calvyncraven1141
@calvyncraven1141 Год назад
@@LetsMeetAbroadnother cultural tip: When you say "Malaysian", it includes all ethnicity that are citizens of Malaysia. When you say "Malayan", it refers to all those who are born and live in West Malaysia/Peninsula Malaysia. It excludes East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak). The reason west Malaysians are refered to as malayan (by mostly east malaysians), is because Malaya was the name of West Malaysia before Sabah and Sarawak join Malaya to form a new federation called Malaysia in 1963. And lastly, "Malay" refers to those from the Malay ethnicity.-

The chinese food and indian food is a little different than the ones abroad some having their own signature like hainanese chicken rice, fried kuay teow, hokkien mee or indian roti canai, naan with tandoori, satay, fried maggi noodles. These typically comprise of the malaysian food. There are some shops that sell specialty Malaysian borned chienese food like Hou Kow which sells toast bread and half boiled eggs. very malaysian. check them out. Malay food of course is delicious with its nasi lemak, satay, rojak, cendol, etc.

What is Malaysian food? The food of the 3 major ethnicity makes up the definition of Malaysian food. It is common among Malaysians to blur the line of distinction between what food belongs to which ethnicity. One can start the day with an ethnic Indian breakfast, then have ethnic Malay food for lunch before ending with ethnic Chinese for dinner.
@jonmath4182
@jonmath4182 Год назад
Bro, it does not stop only at the 3 major ethnics, come on, don't sideline those who may be small minority in terms of malaysia but they can also be big in their own states, and it doesn't even have to be that way, even if they're indeed a very small minority they're still malaysians, hence their unique food would still be part of malaysian food. Please be careful with our words and refrain from upsetting others and hurting their feelings, show that we are nice considerate and tolerant malaysians

You should rephrase your sentences. Its not Malaysian food but malay food. Malaysian food are comprise of chinese,indian and Malay food. Somehow i think you will offend many malaysian in this video. The same for Singapore. If you ask what is singaporean food, it's comprise of the same 3 chinese indian Malay food. You have like laksa/wanton mee, nasi lemak and roti prata. Malaysia and Singapore are not comprised of just Malay,there are other races as well.

☝️ FAKTA berdasarkan bukti nyata.
