Agreed. I need to drive one of these but the brake config on theses are also very weird… would love the rear brake to NOT be located in such a terrible spot at the right foot. To get to it, you have to lose contact with the foot peg…on a 90hp machine…wtf? It’s accessible on the work machines but not these.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Leandro Aydin thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Its good they are getting wider. The reason they break so much is the engines got so much bigger and stronger but the components have not. Eventually you have to increase the size of a ATV to make the components large enough to handle the power. The problem has been for a long time that the engine is powerful enough to break its drivetrain just using the throttle. Wider design equals beefier drive system.
Good video! Nice to see the SxS blog guys throw in an opinion! The price was released recently and they’re very pricy! Polaris wants $15,000 US and $17,500 CAN for either one!!!
Pajama Time part of that price is it comes loaded already. They should’ve added a base model. For the S. There will be regular sportsman xp 1000 for you to chose from. It cost $12,000, and once you add the off-road package that gives you better tires and a winch, it bumps the price up to $13,400. So the S would most likely be around 13 or 14 thousand, but you get that extra stuff already on it.
I remember from all scrambler videos I have watched everyone sees its crazy fast smhotest riding and polaris is made so good that I can say that everyone in the world can ride it much horsepower means more speed and quicker launch and so much storage on the sportsman polaris is something I'm recommending
This is just the beginning of a imminent evolution of ATV size. These 1000s stay tore up all the time because the drive system isn’t robust enough to handle the power. Engines kept getting bigger but drive lines stayed relatively the same. To increase the size and durability of drive systems the ATV has no choice but to grow larger. Watch and see...this increase in size is going to happen all across the board with any 1000cc quad. It’s a good move if they are going to produce reliable big bore ATVs. Until then guys will continue snapping axles and tearing up diffs until they get bigger and house bigger components.
@@cameronwilson4782 I'm glad you added the "to me" part. To each their own. I used to trash SxS's too until I rode in my dads 2018 Can Am XRC maxx. Went and bought my own 2019 Can Am XRS RC last year and its the best offroad experience I can get. I still love my Jeep XJ and CJ. Quads and bikes are still fun. Nothing beats the SxS experience though. I also live in NV though. Dunes. Fast desert. Rock climbing and Mountain trails. Pretty much spoiled for terrain.
@@texasadam4236 And a year old, on a video that was the first sighting of Mike in several weeks. None of us knew he had left, so all we had was an unexplained prolonged absence.
Look cool for guys out west. Won’t work in a lot of other places. What’s the weight on these beasts. I’d like to see how it hangs with my Rene 850xxc 48” with exhaust and ecu flash in tight north east trails. And what the f is a quad bike?
@@thehunter9149 it's no secret that the booming side by side market has taken a chunk our of the quad market in terms of utility, off-roading, and overall sales growth
Matthew Garn I always support the quad market. I didn’t know the quad market is down. Everyone I know goes for quads. Maybe a couple have a ranger or something. My uncle said he loves his ranger but he’s thinking of switching back to a four wheeler. I don’t think the quad market is down that much that it needs resurrected. It’s not dead. I doubt we will see the end of quads for a very long time
@@thehunter9149 Ummm, there is one manufacturer that is currently producing and selling a sport quad; Yamaha. I'd say that's pretty dead. The utility quads will always have their place, but I think most people, including myself, have decided that if I can only have one machine it's going to be a SxS. While it's a different experience, the SxS can do everything that a quad can do, but easier, faster, in more comfort, and better. My buddies on their 850 Sportsmans and Scramblers can't even come close to keeping up with my RZR XP1K, and they're very good riders.
Holden McGroin maybe sports quads, but he was talking about quads in general. Or at least that’s how I understood it. I’m not doubting the SxS are way better. My uncle has a ranger. Anyways I should’ve said he wants a four wheeler because of the convenience to get into tight places. He doesn’t ride trails or anything on the weekend, his is just used for work and hunting. He loves it, but like I said he needs something that can fit onto some smaller paths on the properties he uses it on.
Adrian Rodriguez ......... if that’s what you believe then you definitely need to work on your riding skills or maybe you just don’t have any. Like I said before, too wide and waaaaaay overpriced
completely F'ing stupid. what are they trying to do, make them as large as a sxs?? I have a tilt trailer that fits two quads beside each other. NOT with these it won't. I have a honda and a sportsman. won't be looking at one of these new polaris.
You act like the don't make regular sized ATVs anymore...just buy the 2020 47.5" wide sportsman (which they still make) if you your interested in Polaris
@@tylerdm1842 doesn't change the point. Why are they trying to make them as big as sxs? Their market is that they are smaller, more nimble, easier to haul, narrower for trails, etc. Why start making them more cumbersome?
@@adrianrodriguez7811 "bitch quad"??? Dude, they have different purposes, doesn't make one better or worse. I hunt with mine. Quads are superior for their versatility. Sxs's aren't going anywhere that my jeep isn't. Guys use them to simply drive down the fsr's that any truck can drive down. Guess that makes them "bitch vehicles", as you say.
