There’s nothing better than watching his reaction when something in particular tickles her. And that’s the moment you realize, he’s not trying to making us laugh. He’s trying to make her giggle. If we happen to find it funny as well, then great, everyone wins. Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all.

He's been saying what a treasure she is for decades. He has known since he first laid eyes on her and has felt lucky ever since (particularly grateful since the moment he found out she welcomed him as a date, then eventually as her mate). It's heartwarming how he has always spoken of her. I'm grateful she has been by his side supporting his happiness and success, so we could enjoy what a treasure his talent and heart are to all of us.

@ProRoe Mahatma wasn't exactly a saint, he had some *serious* and harmful flaws. But he did some good too. P.S. For the record, some of us compassionate folks who are into studying the works of some top notch psych professionals can't help but cringe a little when we hear or see (witness) another person go the route you took and offer unsolicited advice of this ilk: "With negative thoughts like that, true love will indeed, be hard to find you. Be the example you want to see in the world." You must know that saying shit like that is more like a swift kick in the kidneys than it is like an empowering pep talk. If you're "being the example" you want to see in the world, I'd rather live on another world than you. Just cuz you thought you could, doesn't mean you just changed the world for the better. Nor the OP's life outlook, for the better. Maybe it's never occurred to you that a lot of people can carry on with an optimistic and hopeful outlook for many years (despite hardships and painful treatment from others), until accumulated life experiences and observations of the array of human behaviors eventually wear it down to a cloak of cynicism laced with tatters of faith remaining that the solidarity in humanity isn't outweighed by the demonstrative callousness. Your comment was in essence callous, yet presented as saccharine support.

As is Stephen. So glad they crossed paths at the right time and recognized their good fortune together. So happy for them. I hope when they agree that retirement time has arrived, I hope they have plenty of time to enjoy things and activities they love together, and also with friends and family. This job is demanding. Glad the whole crew gets periodic breaks. Even though the show is missed so much when on breaks.

I think it is adorable how humble he is (they both seem to be, but with healthy self worth and pluck too). It's hilarious that he still feels like his "nerd" passions are anything to be embarrassed about. He is an *amazing* performer, interviewer, dancer, singer and all around stage presence. And no doubt, an outstanding dad and everyday human. HIs nerdy side is just one of many loveable parts of the fabulous whole person he is. So glad the woman he wanted for a wife (so badly) clearly loves and appreciates him too.

@@michellefu4002 wow, what a thought. Mister Fred Rogers was also very invested in music too. His primary interests and concerns were very well complimented by the inclusion of music (his own music) in many ways in the show (what isn't enhanced by weaving music into the mix?). I wonder if someone like Jon, someone who is primarily a musician, could be a successful host to a show that could serve the common weal similarly today? It'd have to be a collaboration of a few with all the right education, skills and character combined. [Hey, if a team can create Ozark as happily and successfully as they did, maybe another team could create something long term that is almost the opposite. Ozark was amazing. Yet not the content, themes, or messages to foster empowered empathetic socialization in very young children, ha.] I have long wished we could have something broadcast which could be done with the same intention, purposes, integrity, and success that Mister Rogers Neighborhood carried. There was a show not long ago which featured an actor I love as host, and it seemed to be trying to do something similar, adjusted to our times, but it was tragically and truly awful. There can never be anything quite the same as MRN, for a few reasons, but it sure would be great if something close enough could be created and sustained.
