This car is gonna be a madness when it's finished love the plates M140 TR cant wait to see what build you make on this bro keep up the cool Content brother 👏🔥your smashing it bro as love the M140's they have alot of power potential going for them
I’ve had mine nearly a year, the B58 is unreal. Definitely do the powerflex subframe inserts, and the OEM underbody rear brace, absolutely transforms the handling, the floaty feeling when pushing on is gone, and the brace helps massively with the squirming at the back end, add an LSD and it’ll put the power down a LOT better as well!
Voll Care Yes I went with the Yellows, the NVH has increased slightly, but it’s very minor. I was toying with the idea for a while, I didn’t want it to be overly firm, as it’s not going to be a track car for me, it’s noticeably firmer, but bang on for a daily. The black ones will be way too much for a daily car, the yellows are just perfect in my opinion, and pairing them with the OEM brace has exceeded my expectations.
Got an M140i myself, I got the xdrive version. Epic off the line and you can still drift because it can send 100% to the back. Also have a Remus exhaust, one of the best in my opinion for this car.
You described this pretty much perfectly. I had mine for about a year and I got bored of it, felt like an average 1 series with a big engine. It definitely needs the chasis mods that you mentioned to make it a great car, I personally didn't want to do that. Looking forward to the future vids.
Hamza you are so much more watchable and relatable than others.. That's a gift man😂 Plus you've now got a 140.. same as me we are like brothers from another mother now 🙏
Hi Hamza I've had my m140i Shadow for 2 years now...thanks for doing this review of this great car that is also affordable...many people think the m140i is old school and dated but I'm sure you agree the push you get out of corners with the sound of the B58 is second to none...8sp zf adaptive and michilin pilot supersports is a magical combination...my car is stock and it's so good I'm leaving it as it is 🧢👍🏽
I noticed that with almost every re trimmed alcantara steering wheel I've seen, they naturally look like they've been driven by someone who's dipped their hands in oil before they drive
Had one for 4months now black shadow Edition same spec as yours 18 plate. I love it, the engine!! sound is so addictive, silky smooth to drive, Definitely worth the money. I did plan to get an rs3 15-16 plate but there still to expensive in my opinion. Keep the videos coming 👊🏽
I know i did really want a facelift rs3 but was out my price range, pre facelift are still way over priced with the mileage some are on. Glad i went with the m140i in the end.
Understand where you‘re coming from. There a quite some xdrive ones over here, but I just love the fact it‘s rwd. That‘s y I chose it. Like it makes driving so much more fun. I‘ve had a S3 8l with a turbo conversion and it was fast, but over the time just boring cause you could just put the pedal to the metal. In the M140i every corner becomes a true pleasure.
I’ve nothing but positive words to say about these cars, £18,000 for a decent spec one which can be tuned to 420bhp with a stage 1 tune, fantastic engine. I had mine for 2 years, had decats and all the carbon trims, traded it in for an M2 which is on another level but in a straight line I miss the pull from that B58
Underbody brace firms up the back end as well mate done lsd under body brace poly bushed subframe and diff bushes b8 bilstein dampers and M4 LCAS unreal difference
Drag/rolling race between this and the RS3 before you start modding it 👀 I know it’s on par if not a bit faster than the pre face RS3, but it’ll be very interesting to see how it compares with the FL RS3 OPF. Especially considering OPF RS3s have a stronger mid range.
Great car, massively compromised. Get the chassis sorted and you'll wonder how you drove on stock suspension! Also found traction mode is the best balance for me. Gives you comfort throttle so not as sensitive and enough slip
Definitely be following this mate! Ps - I have an alcantara phone case, and also my steering wheel. Clean it with a little washing powder and warm water, should come up like new 👌
Y Chassis Brace from the M240i would help with the floatiness chief. Also consider coding out the fake engine noise or use Bimmerlink to switch it off (this can also be used to manually control the exhaust flap (if fitted)). 👍🏻
I’m struggling to like my 140 so far. I’ve had it for around 6 weeks and was the exact spec I wanted. I think the quite obvious traction issues and lack of diff really shine through when your a confident enough driver to really grab it by the scruff of the neck. Not sure if I’m willing to pay for the diff or not…
I wish I still had mine, Had it for 3 and half years then got rid at end of PCP contract. I looked forward to driving it every day I don't think i will ever own a better car.
@@vollcare4076 It's a completely different car, a Volvo S60 R line new car. I picked this car mainly on price it was such a good bargain on a lease deal. I have been very surprised how good it is but it's not a BMW M 140.
Hamza, just a heads up. If you're ever having a spirited drive by the roads surrounding Himley. There's been hidden speed vans, on a lot of the roads there for the last week and a half 👍
Thanks man, as long as you take it easy to begin with you should be alright. With traction on you won’t get into issues unless you’re deliberately trying something
