That little tab is from the wheels being balanced after the tyre was fitted. You can get them that stick inside the wheel instead of clipping onto them
It's your car bro. If you want them to keep them don't let others tell you how to build your car. Don't make RU-vid make you unhappy because others don't like your build. It's your car, not theirs. You are paying for gas, insurance & so on. Asking for advice is fine but don't let people make you not want to do what you want to do with your car. Stay up bro's.
Here's my tip/suggestion, take care of maintenance first! I know you want to make it look like your dream subie but that'll come later. Trust me, I was like that too when I got my 02 wrx bugeye.
Those little tabs are weights when they balance your tires next time you balance them just ask for the sticky weights instead (they are little sticker weights)
Optima batteries require a special charger to charge back to full, if you kill it, you would be able to jump it but the alternator cant charge it back up so it will be dead by the next time you try and start the car.
To charge the battery you have to charge it through another battery so if u were to hook up your charger to a regular battery and then jumper cable from that battery to the optima battery it will charge

Never understood why people dont take care of their batteries. Batteries arnt cheap man, you have a car you put away for some time put it on a fucking tender its not hard. I got a car with a 10yr old battery in it and it still starts right up and i live where it get very cold and snows a shit ton. and i have car with a 5yr old battery i store for winter and still starts right up when i put the car back on the road
Fucking HANGWEIGHTS. The absolute worst thing in the world and makes my life a living hell every time I get my tires balanced. Sticky weights in the wheel well are your friend if you get that issue where it rubs on the suspension.
