First Drive of My Body-Dropped, LT-Swapped Chevy C10: Finnegan's Garage Ep.138

My tube chassis, supercharged LT4-powered, six-speed gearbox-equipped 1967 Chevrolet C10 has officially hit the streets! After a decade of hibernation, the custom independent suspension, 20-inch Forgeline wheels and Mittler Bros Hydroshox are fully functional and I'm happy to report that I've rowed all six gears of the RTS/6XDgearbox.com billet sequential transmission. The Holley Terminator X Max efi system is far from properly tuned but after a few hiccups during the last day of the build, my friends and I were able to get a taste of the potential of this street truck. Now all we gotta do is drive the thing 300 miles back home to Georgia!

My 44yrs on this earth, owning harleys, and hot rods. I have NEVER heard a truck sound so EFFIN RAW!! I dont know what mufflers is on that thing but WOW!! I've got a cammed ls3 vette that I thought sounded good and that truck literally raises the hair on my arms. That's through headphones. I couldn't imagine in person. Good job guy. One bad ass build!

Damn I like how it sounds, so visceral. Some of my favorite vehicle noises. Supercharger whine, Straight cut gear whine from the trans, throaty exhaust, the panel sounds. I know cars today are more enjoyable for long trips and provide a lot of environmental isolation. But that doesn't make them anymore fun to drive. Not to mention when your vehicle sounds that good slow, you can enjoy it on those days that tracks aren't open still. Without the need for bail money.
