Meet R’ Bonney Gabriel, the first Filipina American woman to win Miss Texas USA, and she will represent the lone star state in the next Miss USA Pageant. Subscribe to the Houston Life RU-vid channel!
Her life story is so inspiring. Thank God for her parents who inspired her of what American dream is all about. Dream big and know your God given purpose. God bless you in all your endeavour in the world of pageantry.
I am not Filipino but I spent years with Filipino people and have always loved their kindness for all people but most of all their love for family and friends.
She's making Texas proud, and Philippines is so excited about her. When she's competing for Miss USA, Filipino Americans around the country will be supporting her 100%.
Everytime the Philippines is mentioned you can expect that the whole Filipinos everywhere in this earth... Most especially in the Philippines itself...would be very happy and be proud of the person even if you're not a pure Filipina and born and lives in a different country...it doesn't really matter!!!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
There are a lot non-pure filipinos, even in the philippines. Same with the US. Who among americans, can you really call "pure americans"? As to not being born in the philippines, there are something like 10M pinoys who live outside the PH, excluding those who are not counted for being illegal aliens. Add all that, isn't it obvious why many would claim other pinoys abroad as their own kababayan? Also, the surname gabriel is also prevalent here. It is only pronounced GAB-RIYEL - a spanish sounding name common to pinoys. So is it even hard to recognize ms. texas as pinoy? The only thing for me though is that, if the other do not recognize her ancestry, then we should not recognize her at all. Or if she is so far away from her lineage.
I love how she never breaks eye contact or hesitate on her answers. Represent Philippine-Asian Beauty Bloodline GO!!!! She's gorgeous in bone structure and height!!
she is representing the country that nurtured her and i do not see anything wrong or shameful with that. as a matter of fact, she and her family have lots to be thankful for. she will never have the same opportunities had she grown up in the Philippines. we should be happy for her and be thankful that "one Pilipino family" was able to reach their goals and dreams and become successful outside their own country.
@@VeNuS2910 , Miss R'Bonney Gabriel's dad, a Filipino, went to the US on a scholarship program, then, met a Texan (US citizen) who worked for an airline. That gave Miss Gabriel's opportunity to travel to 15 different countries with her parents. "Had she grown in the Philippines" ....she was not born poor!
Credit grabbers! She's represent USA not Philippines. You're so proud, yet your country's candidate always a HALF-BREED. why?? because Filipina's are ugly. 🤨
I agree with her when she said that people should be given lots and lots of opportunities so that they can find their real purpose in life. Good job, woman!
It’s a blessing when opportunities are given but anyone who wants to succeed in life should look for and create the opportunities for themselves. No one should feel entitled to be given. It is a blessing and a privilege. But no one should expect nor demand for such opportunities from others to help them and get mad or feel victimized if such such opportunities sometimes don’t exist. We should create and be responsible for the life we want and be grateful if help is given you to help you succeed.
she is half but she looks more Filipina and sounds more Pilipino. I am happy that she will be representing her hometown, Texas, the place that nurtured her, and i feel proud to see a half Filipina being acknowledge for their talent and wit and good looks.
Came back here after she won Miss Universe, who's with me? She's a total package very clever and gorgeous 🥰😍 very well deserved win! Congrats Miss USA🇺🇲🇵🇭
This is a redeeming victory for her after so many allegations last Miss USA 2022. I remember when Miss New York Heather Nunez wrote on Instagram Stories that she felt "humiliated" in believing that she had "a fair chance," while Miss Alabama Katelyn Vinson penned: "It's crushing and heartbreaking to have worked so hard towards a goal only to realize you never stood a chance." So what now americans here is your miss universe 2023! So proud of you kabayan. You are well-deserved it! Congratulations
Well, well, well. Will just have to swallow the bitter pill won't we. Congratulations R'Bonney the new Ms. Universe you disprobe your detractors for good, fair and square. Move on you are such a fine gentle lady. All the best
Wow. So a proud Pilipino here. I love Houston, Texas. I was in Houston a month ago. Houston is a beautiful place to live in. There's a large Filipino community in Houston. And worldwide that they are proud of, and as far as I know, the first Miss. universe was held at Galveston, Texas. ❤❤❤
She just won Miss USA! Congratulations R’Bonney! As a fellow Filipino-American, I’m super proud of you and very excited to see you at Miss Universe!❤️👑🔥
She won Miss Universe! I was there in person as part of the official media. I was also the last person to ask her a question at her official press conference!❤️❤️❤️👑👑👑🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Im rooting for her to be the next Ms Universe USA! Go girl! You are so smart, beautiful and very lady like Filipina aura. You are indeed a beauty queen with a ❤️! Proud Filipina here from Canada.
I’m sure Pia and Catriona will be supporting you, too. Being a Filipina myself I’ve been so proud of you. No wonder you’re a gonna be an excellent contender in the beauty pageants.
Actually I think she would be the second Filam beauty to do so. Macel Wilson who won Miss USA 1962 is I believe a FilAm and was the first Asian American to win Miss USA.
What a gorgeous woman and I'm glad she's a Filipina representing Texas too. Good on you Texas. Prayin for her victory in the Miss Universe. I hope she makes good friends with Miss Philippines.
I want her to win in the MISS USA 2022 pageant so that she can join in the MISS UNIVERSE 2022 competition. I'm sure many Filipinos both here in the Philippines and abroad will support her. I will support her.
@@gardogodinez6621 yung Italian sya ang representative ng pasay sya yung nanalo pumunta sya ng Pinas para sumali at nanalo sya yan miss Texas yan pag manalo America i re represent nya hnd pilipinas so we need to support our miss universe PH🇵🇭
TWISTED THINKING. Being Filipino is NOT a race, it's a culture. It's about having one of our kind being represented in other countries, and showing the world the good stuff we're made of - that would give us both pride and honor. If you can't support her, then at least, give her the gratitude and respect she deserves.
Very happy that Miss USA is Filipina,, hopefully she will win , so US will get Miss Universe title again...Pilipinos really hv blood of beauty , elegance n brain nobody can question that..as long as u stay humble n always put ur feet on the ground...Goodluck n godbless...
The next Miss USA & Miss Universe way to go. Proud of you. Continue to fulfill your destiny & passion to help women that are victims of abuse & human trafficking. What a calling? Amazed! Awesome!
Unless the other states will also send a Filipino American, those that flee California and are currently jobless or sleeping in park benches would make very strong candidates because pageants love drama.
Wow If she wins Miss USA, and represent the US for Ms. UNIVERSE, The Philippines wil root for 2 candidates, she'll be an instant powerhouse since the Philippines traditionally is a Powerhouse in pageantry.
@@miguelmendiola4088 She’ll be more elated with confidence when millions of Filipinos will chant her name while walking on the stage! That is called the Filipino power!
I love how she speaks - there's humility, relatability, and it feels like there's emotions on how she speaks, authenticity I would say. So proud of you, kababayan!
We are so proud of you, Miss Bonney Gabriel! Mabuhay! Hope you can represent our country, the Philippines, in other international pageants. From Subic, Philippines 🤩😘
She's representing the United States of America !! Don't try to recruit her. We know a majority of the international beauty contestants of the Philippines are half Filipino, some raised in other countries, like the current one now who is half Italian. She is proud to represent Texas and the USA, and says so. BRAVA!! I'm Filipina, US citizen, and proudly rooting for her!!
Please stop. I am ashamed reading your comment and the other comments of other filipinos. Masyado kayong madikit sa pagka pinay nya, just say congratulations thats all, no need to say sh*t things just like your comment.
More power to you Ma'am. We are also proud kababayans here in Philippines. God bless. Hoping also that racial discriminations against Asians will end and harmony among humans shall put to acceptance all over America. God bless Texas and God bless America 💖
Big achievement for not only the Filipino community in Texas, but also the entire Asian community as she’s the first ever Asian-American Miss USA Texas!! ❤️❤️❤️
But she doesnt look asian at all so i dont think this makes her a good representation of asian community. We shouldnt idealized white features...its a bad stereotype.
@@sew_gal7340 So just because she doesn’t look the most asian she doesn’t count and doesn’t deserve support? What kind of backward mindset do you have? With you saying that, you’re pretty much only admitting that her white side is more dominant than her Asian side which is completely false. If it weren’t for her Asian side, she wouldn’t be the whole person she is today.
@@xfinity319 Yes. And i don't need your permission to have whatever mindset i need to have. Skin bleaching and worshiping of colonialist ideals is a major problem in places like the philipines and other developing countries. I wasnt assaulting who she is, im just saying as a society we need to move past the "west is superior" mindset. You have subtle racism....you need to stop
@@sew_gal7340 Subtle racism?? Are you joking? Or are you seriously idiotic? Where in my comment did it have a HINT of racism??? Tanga ka?? Nobody here wants your stupidity and toxicity. If showing support to a fellow Asian-American to you is about skin bleaching and worshipping colonialist, then you have something completely wrong with you. Ang tanga tanga mo, so toxic, nakakahiya ka!
Yesssss... MISS TEXAS and MISS TEXAS USA, the 1st Asian-American to win on their respective system that too, on the same year. What a monumental year on the pageant world
She has strong Filipino features congratulations in winning Miss Universe 2023 you totally deserve it! Her father is intelligent that's why she is too and I can see that she's really proud of it
Proud Filipina American for her winning Miss Texas, USA. Wish her the best in the Miss USA pageant and hopefully move forward to Miss Universe 2022. 🇺🇸🇵🇭
Did she spend most of her time in the Philippines or did she even once ? Just because she has Filipina blood she's automatically qualified to be Ms Philippines .
@@MRPOPOY-xl1mj Jus sanguinis (right of blood) which is the legal principle that, at birth, an individual acquires the nationality of his/her natural parent/s. The Philippines adheres to this principle, that's why she is qualified. do some research first. think before you click. lol
Proud lamb&dear Well, even Filipinos who only flip burgers in Vermount or milk cows in Kansas can become Miss Universe Philippines if they can say that they have a teaspoon of Filipino blood.
Congratulations to you Miss R'Bonney and we are so loving it that you represent both our culture back home and so over here as well. You are so beautiful inside and out and you can win it .
The hard work you put into what you want to accomplish in life paid off. Miss America has so much more to give to the world. An example of inspiration and what the American Dream can come out of spreading the talents each one have and to share them. My Congratulations to Miss USA!
Oh my gosh and here she is Ms R'Bonney Gabriel the entire Filipino community around the globe is so very excited and proud of her win at Miss USA 2022. Cheers!! dahhling Mabuhay!!!!
Congratulations Bonney Gabriel. Very proud to be a Filipino. I wish you all the success in Miss USA competition. I hope and pray that you win it. Watching this vlog from United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Wow! She’s definitely a beauty queen material. I can’t wait to see you shine even more and wear the next crown as Miss USA and Miss Universe. A very well deserve, relatable and humanity. Very proud as a Filipina blooded.
I would like to add, I bought a basic sewing machine during the pandemic to sew face masks and I literally could not sew a straight line. This young lady is so talented 😂
Hope she wins the Miss USA 2022. She deserves to participate in Miss Universe. She's so sweet, humble, and intelligent, and her advocacy is simple yet has a great impact to women and the youth. Love from the Philippines! 💕
Of course this is history first Filipina representing Texas to going miss USA that was amazing.pilipinos around the world will support you 100%.God bless you God bless pinas and God bless usa 🇺🇸.
She looks more Filipina compared to the current Miss Universe Philippines. Good luck R'Bonney. I think she can be also Miss Universe from USA after 10 years.
I AM SO DAMN PROUD THAT SHE WILL BE WEARING SAH THAT SAYS "USA"... AS in United States of America" ...Go R'Bonney. Bring Home the Crown for USA! Go USA.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
