Your videos are a breath of fresh air. I saw on one of others you talking about asking folks to like and subscribe. I understand that completely. The ones that get me are the ones that ask you to like and subscribe before you even see their content. I’d like to know what they’re sharing first. Anyway, I agree with you. Your demeanor and calm nature is nice to watch. It’s very unpretentious too. I’m in my IFR training and watching you with that is great help. I wish I consistently got the clear transmissions like you do. I just bought a new radio and it seems to work fine but there are times when I’m talking to Atlanta approach or Mobile approach or wherever that I get a lot of static. I’m trying to learn to interact with them and 15% of the time I have no idea what they’ve said because of the static. I’ll figure it out though. Too much information. Sorry. Enjoy your work. Thank you for sharing.
The Sequatchie Valley is such a beautiful place. I learned to fly hang gliders in Victoria, north of where you guys were in Dunlap. You've never experienced the beauty of flight until you've been dragged through the cow pies. Wonderful video!
Awesome flight. At 17:04 on the map display you were right over my house. The airport I have flown in and out of is KGCY which is about 2 miles NE from me. Thanks for taking us along for the flight. Dave
Thanks, David, another great flight! You probably flew over my neck of the woods getting to Halifax-Northampton. We camped many times in the Blue Ridge. When you said, "I ever tell you how much I love flying?", you tore my heart out. :-) I do miss it badly. Hope you had a great vacation.
Glad I ran into your channel. Great to get to know the Tri-Pacer which I wasn't very familiar with before. Looks like you added a really nice IFR (Garming) package to that bird for sure! I am curious about the wing camera set up (both camera and mount) if you could share details I would appreciate it. VY
There's just something about the Smokies to me that's just amazing. Nothing like waking up to a sunrise on top of a mountain with a fresh hot cup of coffee. I'm glad to see you made a friend that's willing to make your trips down there a little easier. Me I'd still rather take a 3 hour flight over a 2 hour drive in rush hour traffic any day. I'm taking a trip up to Rock Falls Illinois on the 23 of July to attend the ACCA RU-vid awards. There are going to be a whole lot of people there and I guess a couple of really good airshows. I thought I'd mention it in case you might want to go. As always thank you for sharing these great videos and I'll see you in the next one.
I’m with you. I need to spend more time in the smokies. I think the plane could open up some opportunities to our one cool place to camp. Let me check my work schedule. That sounds like a good trip! Thanks man!
Nice video of.a nice flight. And great coincidence that I see this post after driving all day towards Asheville N.C to drop off my grandson. While overnighting it in Knoxville.
I forgot to add that it was fantastic to see that restored plane from the Flight of Passage book, which I saved as one of the few actual books (non e-book) on my shelf. I loved that story and couldn’t believe they took a cross country so young! Does he want to sell it??
