A little trip to Sportys to pickup a CO detector and talk about an upcoming trip from Ohio to California. Thanks so much for watching. If you would like to support the channel you can donate at / schmaus #tripacer #aviation #flying
I would love it if you could call out your approach speeds as you're on down wind, base, final and short final. You could also talk through what your plan is during cross winds landings. Love your videos!!
David, keep it up.. You are doing an awesome job. I enjoy the outstanding video work along with your clear narration. Yeah.. I'll keep dreaming of a Tri-Pacer and maybe one day.. 🙂
The silhouette image at 0:19 - 0:20 is classic: "Man and his flying machine". Sort of resembles a thoroughbred in the stables, champing at the bit with the trainer or jockey covering it with a blanket. Way cool.
David, Enjoy your videos. I fly out of KIGQ south of Chicago with my Tripacer. Would like to meet you sometime, maybe spring or early summer for some comradery. after your California adventure. Flew mine from Prescott, AZ back to Chicago. Good flying. May the weather be fair and the wind on your tail.
She flies again.....yey! Nice video David. Cant wait to fly mine again. Been battling with the dreaded " Lurgy" thats apparently doing its rounds throughout the world at the moment. Unfortunately I contracted C19 and its been a real battle. Safe flying bud.
Flew kccr-kwjf-kblh-ktus-kelp. Had to leave her behind due to the winter storm in Texas. Hopefully will be able to complete the trip on friday and saturday. So far, it has been an epic trip with beautiful scenery. Absolutely beautiful flying little airplane.
This is crazy but that Velocity flew straight over my house at almost 200 knots from South to north. He basically flew directly over WPAFB. I had to look it up to see what the heck it was😆 Yes I'm obviously an avgeek but I'm proud of it. I am so looking forward to following along on your trip. I really hope you have a great time and as always fly safe.
I bought them for my wife and thought I would try them for a bit to see if I I like them better than the David Clark’s. So far it’s a wash. I have flown out of your airport before. Last winter I came in the general pacer out of your airport. I plan on flying there on this trip. Maybe we will have to do some flying together.
Hi There David, what engine do you have in the Tri-Pacer?......150 or 160Hp Lycoming? Used to fly a 160Hp in South Africa, it performed exceptionally well. Even with four people, full tanks and baggage. From an airfield 4100FT AMSL (Wonderboom Airport, Pretoria, South Africa) on a hot summers day. Handled all the bush airstrips wherever (in or out) we went. One gets a lot aeroplane for the dollar. Really enjoying your videos.
Hi Johan. It’s the 150HP. If been in a 160 and you wouldn’t thin that extra 10hp would make a difference but it really does! You are right though. It’s a great plane for the money! Thanks for watching.
Sounds like you may be passing near Albuquerque. I've got an empty hangar you can put your plane in overnight, if you want. All it will cost you is a flight around the local area. 😉
is it possible to transport your paramotor on ur pvt plane? i know nothing about aviation frankly :) - i am guessing you will to have to break it down to transport it, but not sure if its even legal in the first place!
I've been to Moraine several times during visits to the Air Force Museum. We could've landed at WPAFB, but the Air Force is a pain in the neck to deal with.
The opening sequence was very rushed but I assumed you did allowed the oil and engine temps to at least touch the green on the indicators before applying takeoff power?
