It's better than the Model 3 on efficiency because it's a glorified motorcycle. Fewer seats, less storage space. Which is perfect if that's all you need. Cars are wasted space unless fully utilized.

"Innovative key design" Tubular locks are the absolute easiest to open. A simple inexpensive pick with 5 minutes of practice, and your ride is stolen. I hope they reconsider that lock style, because I love the idea of this type of vehicle.

Gonna say right now - I was wrong. Didn't think the three-wheeler layout would work well enough (as tricycles catch every bump in the road). But clearly it does. It's stable, roomy and practical. Whilst cars will become autonomous and remote robotaxis, I can see people deciding to buy and own these instead because they practical enough for most situations.

delution...i like so much the product but this company have huge problem with production capacity and production ramp. they burning money on incredible rate and this will not last long. if buy end of q1/2020 they cant make 5-8 fuv a day the story will be over by this pace of spending. unfortunately their CEO make too much marketing and development-instead ramping production for current 4000 orders

Well, market cap is at very attractive level at this point of execution, dilution taken into account. It's extremely risky investment, but the upside is incredibly sweet if they execute well in next, say, 8 or 10 years... If they start to see that rental revenue, the story will flip on it's head in a matter of days.

Because you have 3 tracks instead of 2, it’s harder to straddle potholes, and the small wheel diameter doesn’t help.

As you skill up, you figure out how to miss potholes unless they are very wide. You also get to skip the second bump of speed bumps with bicycle gaps, so there are advantages as well.

The problem is the loss of 2 control surfaces in parallel. Lack of side stick control is the only readily apparent miscue here tho.

This is perfect for city folks. We typically drive 6-8 miles max for 95% of our trips. Plus never have much baggage apart from groceries.

Gali, first time I've seen you drive.......................IN NEW YORK CITY! That horn blare would've freaked me out. I'm assuming a "standard" drivers license is required and not a motorcycle permit? How many resorts, hotels, casinos, airports, golf courses, warehouses, Uber/Lyft ................that should be instant business. Then the "gen-pop" Arcimoto fleets at sporting events, concert venues................endless potential.

Since the range at 70 mph is only 32 miles, I have some concerns about the battery size. How many Watt Hours is the battery rated at? What is the charge times at level 1 and level 2 charging and at what current limits for each? Sorry, the spec sheet does not show this information.

What is your option on why the stock price has recently fallen so much? It doesn’t seem to make sense because they are actually delivering product and starting to recognize revenue, with a clear path to producing more and more. The only thing I can think of is that they keep coming to market to raise more money, basically diluting the existing shareholders? Not that worried, I’m in it for the long term. But, what are your thoughts?

Why aren't there any solar panels on top instead of a see-through roof? Wouldn't that help with generating extra "fuel"? And I love the concept for surfers as well. Seems to me that like people that live along the coast would like this but won't be able to take a surfboard with them.

Nice!...However, with all those gadgets inside that particular FUV model, to me, it seems complicated to drive/ride! Which leads me to my next questions!...Is the FUV equivalent to a motorcycle, a tricycle for example, or a car??...And is a license of some kind required to drive/ride a FUV???🤔🤔🤔🤔

The two front wheels are the drive wheels - they have tested it in "Willamette Valley Oregon winter snow" and it handles well enough. I can say that the heated grips are *VERY* warm - even when it was right at freezing, I didn't use it at higher than the lowest setting. The seat heaters are "acceptable." Full doors should be coming "soonish" (I'm hoping before January, but not holding my breath.)

Lots of pics on the Arcimoto FB page. Working on soft full doors (think jeep). It has defrost that is effective and can be used as a semi heater. Heated seats and grips standard on Evergreen model. $19,900. Lots of pictures and videos on FB Arcimoto FUV Club group.

@@harriska2 I'm getting offers from Chinese factories that make these kinds of 3 wheel vehicles, they are a lot smaller though. Prices 800-2500USD. I asked one factory how about they make a man-sized vehicle like this Arcimoto and the answer was:"Sure, but bigger frame would double the price, I'm not sure you could accept it, the price would be 3800USD, and add 1000USD if you need a pickup version." So, for Arcimoto to compete 10000USD sounds about right, over that and it would leave the door open for the Chinese competition that already has 10-20 years expertise producing everything that goes to build one of these to enter the market. The only thing they need is a sign that there is a market for them, just like with everything else.

Two brake controls seems like a recipe for disaster. If you've been habituated to using the regen brake, I wonder if in an emergency you'll use it and not the one at your foot which is much stronger.

It is totally intuitive. Drivers usually end up using a combination of the two. The regen brake is very effective and does the majority of braking until the vehicle is going very slow.

From what I understand 3 wheels keep it within motorcycle regulations. If it had 4 it would be considered a car and given this it would cost millions to crash test, and many more "hoops" to get it to market.

engine: noun : a machine with moving parts that converts power into motion. An electric motor is an engine. It has a stator or rotor that moves via magnetic force to convert stored chemical energy into motion via electricity.

@@AnonymousFreakYT People don't usually talk about their washing machine "engine". Motor is the term almost always used when the fuel is electrons. In any case, it's a mistake just from a marketing perspective to not distinguish it as much as possible from an internal combustion engine.

Maybe the rep is using engine intentionally to refer to the whole powertrain. In its generic usage engine means a system that ‘powers’ an application (eg: rendering engine) as a kind of black box. It just seems like Arcimoto puts thought into its verbiage, as with FUV.

Many thanks for making this cool video! I'm definitely intrigued, but a little on the fence regarding an investment in Arcimoto. Maybe I just don't fully "get" this car: - It feels like it would make more sense as a "tuk tuk", with a driver moving tourists around a city, but for that it should have 2 seats in the back and be much cheaper. - Maybe you need to start expensive first, in order to ramp up production and drive down costs, but I find it hard for such a vehicle to do "luxury" (a car can have a premium interior, but I have trouble picturing a "luxury tuk tuk" or golf cart.) I do believe that the traditional car form-factor (and gas engine) needs to go away from cities, because it wastes precious space and energy. So I'm already sold on the mission, but the road ahead for Arcimoto seems tough. I wish them the best of luck, selling many electric FUVs, but I think I'll personally hold off on investing until I see a significant volume of cars on the road and/or a cheaper "tuk tuk" version with 2 seats in the back.

Tuk-tuks are low speed people movers. They're also poor handling vehicles. The FUV is highway capable. Stability is achieved by putting two wheels up front, not in back.

The video showed just a handful of enthusiastic responses from the public, probably due to time constraints. Imagine the response Arcimoto would get if they could afford to advertise (albeit briefly) on a Times Square billboard, central Tokyo or a Piccadilly Circus, London one. Can't help feeling that they'd be totally overwhelmed with enquiries & orders.

@@pinkelephants1421 More police than public, just me and the wife watching it. I can see this as a bit of fun to hire at holiday resorts or the odd person wanting it because they think it's cool but it's just too impractical and expensive for a mass market. For the price you could have two, yes 2, Ora R1s Both 4 door, 4 seater, luggage space, rear camera, cheap, what the world needs to move towards electric. This trike has a place but it won't be selling in tesla quantities. Check out the Mini-Moke on wikipedia this was a fun cult beach buggy type car. There's an American electric version of it made by mokeamerica.com you can have one custom built for about $19k. (See the cult TV program "The Prisoner"). The moke sold all over the world but never in great quantities. I prefer the earlier versions of this trike that had a steering wheel.

@@Martin-se3ij I remember The Prisoner on TV as a kid. EEK!! That dates me doesn't it. 😀 They already have a NZ outlet & have made their 1st deliveries in country. Trust me - Kiwi's & Aussies will go nuts over the Arcimoto FUV. It's a cultural and lifestyle thing. As they ramp economies of scale should kick in. Sandy Munro & Associates' help has been sought. Sandy seems very keen to get started with helping them make it the best that it can be. Either way, it'll be interesting to see what happens. Did ❤️❤️❤️ the ORA. I love Tesla's vehicles but I'd also love to see them produce a much more basic EV along the lines of the ORA. A Tesla version would be both more polished & still remain in line with the company's mission. Actually, come to think of it, far more in line than the SEXY product lines simply because the average person could afford it; hopefully speeding up the transition.

Does the cost of producing these Electric Vehicles cost more pollution? What happens to the battery dies out? If you get hit by a car, truck, or any bigger vehicles what are the chances of you surviving the accident? If you are sitting in the back you might need a helmet. Lack of visibility is dangerous but lack of protection is also dangerous. If you get stuck in traffic, with an open cockpit you’ll be breathing all that vehicle exhaust pollution. But I see great utility use for it, and great use as facility patrol vehicle...👍

Why the hell did they put the windshield wipers switch on a touchscreen button why???🤔 Specially when knowing that thing is just a fancy electric rickshaw.... Besides those two pedals braking system tho!!! Are hella confusing as well... Nice, things to improve: - key design (very unsafe, should be key less) - Need regen breaking instead of these clunky 2 ways of breaking. They say they are strong in software.. these things shouldn't happen.
