First Gen Tacoma Door Handle Replacement

The replacement was done on a 2003 4 door Pre-runner.
The replacement described in this video should work with all first generation Toyota Tacomas
Handle was added in January of 2020 and does not squeak. At times, I do have to pull twice to open the door but that could be just the actuator acting up.
8/1/20 UPDATE
Door handle stopped squeeking and haven't had ANY issues since installing
1/20/23 UPDATE
The door handle on underside of the grip broke off but is slightly attached enough to open the door

I replaced mine this afternoon and it didn’t take long to do thirty minutes tops. The clip on the top was the tuffest part.

If you were to pull on the interior handle does the exterior handle pull up? Passenger side doesn’t but noticed driver side will. Is this correct?

Are you referring to before the replacement or after the replacement of the door handle?

@@CopperStateOutdoors I guess afterwards. If I pull on the interior handle and look at the exterior handle it pulls up. If I could show you a video I would. Just seeing if it sounded correct.

@@bradybowen8908 you may want to retighten all of the bolts. I did notice at one point in time my outside handle would take 3 pulls to open the door and a few loose bolts were the culprit
