The tan top looked pretty good with the plain white truck. On the new wrap it definitely should be black

Removing that top and going with either a fiberglass topper wrapped to match which would be period correct for that truck or nothing at all would be the first thing I'd do to that truck if I won it in the auction. That soft topper would be in the trash.

I've always wanted a gen 1 taco but never made the jump because finding 4x4 was hard and any that were, were just WAY to overpriced. Wish I could make a jab at this one! But 4 doors is more my style. BUT I can't say this doesn't make me want one again... and I'm loving what y'all have done!

But its the best $3,000 you will ever spend in your life!!! Both the paramedics and the cops, were surprised at how the bumpers protected my Tacoma. 1 paramedic told me that he was going to have to get a set of Relentless bumpers for his Tacoma. The inside of the rear bumper looks like an ANTISEISMIC STRUCTURE. Im not shitting you! I see my Tacoma and I see the "Over the Top" old truck!!!

Very awesome. I got the 2021 Taco and im saving up to do a wrap on it. Very awesome. I liked everything except the back bumper, didnt like the design on that one, but the front one and the wheels, nice setup.

Truck looks awesome! The black rims look soooo much better. The brown topper and the white reminds me of the desert here in Western CO. Personally, I would have done shades of blue stripes with the silver paint to save some money and avoid issues with the nose bubbling during the winter, but... it’s not my project :)

Coastal offroad sells bumper kits that are pretty close to these for a fraction of the cost. Weld them together yourself

I agree. Wrap it white and extend the bed stripes to match and the back red with the yellow stripe extended. Would look perfectly built into the truck and would be much more useful

Love the transformation. Still kinda meh on the soft top. Meaty tires will look good and help off road. Love the mini Cooper tucked in corner! Cool stuff. Great little Yota (except top).

I would not describe my stock '98 Prerunner as boring in any way. Classic, timeless, so much better looking than a Ford Ranger or any other compact truck of the era.

How do you wash/maintain the wrap? I would be afraid of it slicing somehow, but I know nothing about them.

The truck looks amazing I love it and soft topper looks even better with the wrap. Bumpers look great although very expensive and the tires are going to finish the look! I'd add rock sliders too to finalize it and give it some more side protection. What a cool little truck.

The orange and yellow is a bit much for me. All white with a black bed cover and slightly larger, more aggressive tires would’ve been perfect.

its coming together nicely but you guys have certainly lost touch with it being a budget build. if you add up everything if someone was to be paying for all of it this truck would cost almost 20,000USD to build, or almost 30,000CAD. for 30,000CAD i can buy a 2014 Tacoma with about 60,000km or 40,000 miles on it

I disagree with the color choice of the rear canvas cap. Should be black. Better yet, take it off and install a "roll bar" with lights. Hopefully you did a nice professional job on the off road light switches.

Cool truck. Id feel like a dork driving it around with that wrap on it though. This "budget build" series turned into a bunch of advertisements for sponsors. Kudos on raising some donantion funds though.
