We catch our first halibut of 2023! This was a trip to Flat Islands, one of our favorite spots to find "chickens," aka little, tasty halibut. I tried out some spots that were taken from an old sea captains GPS, around Flat Islands.
I also tested out my new robotic lure, but the battery went dead rather quickly. However, it did attract fish, as you can see with our underwater camera. On our way back we stopped in at the remote town of Seldovia for a quick bite to eat, then it was home to clean fish. It was a great day on the water, with mild seas and great company.
