FIRST IMPRESSIONS BANDUNG Should you visit? 

The fact that Bandung is home to more than 50 higher education institutions, universities, and research centres has made the city a destination for students and young researchers to pursue their study and careers. Strategic national industries are established in Bandung because of the city’s reputation as a conducive place for research and development. 2010 data shows that 68% of Bandung population is below 40 years of age, making the city full of youthful energy and dynamics. All of these conditions - the ongoing supply of highly educated young population, fashionable products and tourism industries - have created new types of cultural industries in Bandung.

I have one friend from Bandung, and he's actually one of the nicest people I've ever met. Of course not everyone are like that, but traditions and cultures affect the people. And so there are some culture and traditions that produces friendly and nice people more than the others, but we should also always remind ourselves that friendly doesn't mean nice and goodwill.

Sundanese people are humorous and friendly people, so that is what characterizes the Sundanese themselves, I as a Sundanese person are very proud that the land of Pasundan is known so well by tourists.

I've been in bandung for exchange student i stayed there for a month i can say bandung is a great place to visit my 1 month stay there was full of good memories . Hoping to visit bandung again 😊 people are very friendly and kind 😊

Bandung has an economically strategic position due to its relatively short distance (129km) from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, and is surrounded by smaller towns that are rich in natural and industrial material producers, manufactures, craftsmen, and other forms of skilled labor. Since the 1930s, Bandung has had the reputation as the distribution centre for world’s fashion industry; and the city is also a favourite destination for shopping and culinary experiences.

Finally, the latest video from the Rhett and Claire channel is also out! The funny thing is that I'm an Indonesian since I was little, I've only been to Bandung once and even then haven't been around Bandung like the two of you 😂. How lucky you guys are! Hopefully one day I can visit Bandung again if the pandemic is gone. By the way I can't wait for the next video about Jakarta!

Bandung Unesco Creative City of Design. A Pride World City of Design

I hope this video can promote Bandung more, after this covid pandemic, I hope many foreign tourist can spend time to explore this city. For you guys, thanks for exploring Bandung, maybe one day you can explore more places in Indonesia.

Bandung is an innovative hub for creativity and entrepreneurship. With many initiatives driven by the city’s young demographic, Bandung hosts a variety of workshops, conferences and festivals, all encouraging the development of creativity, prototypes and product design in particular. In fact, 56% of Bandung's economic activities are design-related, with fashion, graphic design and digital media being the top three subsectors in the local creative economy.

Bandung has cold weather. Because it's cold, people often daydream for a long time, aka maximum confusion. But from there came creative ideas, creative products, creative SMEs were born. Besides that, Bandung people often hang out, create together, get together a little, there is a match between opening a business together.

A lot of industries are in Bandung, state owned vaccine & drug maker Biofarma & state owned defense company PT Pindad, both are in Bandung. Bandung also has one of the best polytechnic institution in the country, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB)

Bandung is called Paris Van Java during dutch colonization because of the beauty of the city. If you come to the East of Java, you will found another Paris Van Java, which is Malang. Both of these places are famous for their tourism industry and cool weather. In Malang, you will find a lot of tourist attraction such as Jawa Timur Park 1(an amusement park), Jawa Timur 2 (Batu Secret Zoo), Jawa Timur 3 (Dino Park), The Bagong adventure Human Body Museum, Museum Angkut ( Transportation Museum), Selecta, Kampung Warna Warni (Village of Colour), Malang Night Paradise, Hawai waterpark Malang, Bromo Mountain, Pantai 3 Warna (beach with 3 colors), etc. There are 30+ tourist attractions that I can't write in here because it's too much. More than 400 art deco buildings in Bandung City.. Honestly there a few slum area too in Bandung but the goverment and the people will take care of it more better day by day.. Thank you for enjoying our City..👍👍☺❤

Dear Rhett and Claire, thank you for all the stuffs about Bandung in the past weeks. They are all such pills for me that have been missing Bandung so much 🥲🥲 Anyway, there are two streets that you miss in Bandung, Dago Street and Riau Street. They are both famous for factory outlets and cafes THAT KEEP BANDUNG ALIVE😎 You should try to walk around those streets on the next visit!

a little suggestion; keep yourself updated with the pandemic restriction if you plan to visit Bandung. right now, stores, cafes and restaurants close at 8 PM, hopefully until 5th of July but it might be extended if the numbers of covid cases still increase. stay safe, wear mask is a must and keep yourself sanitized and carry your wet wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere. other than that, it's an awesome town to visit.

I always imagine if there's a beach in Bandung, then my city would be perfect :)

My wife and I have been to Bandung in 2017, and we loved it too. We stayed at the NEO Dipatuikur Hotel. Really hip hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and fun to eat. We made friends in Bandung and Jakarta whom we still keep in touch with today. Bandung is very trendy and cool with fun places to eat and chill (I'm from New York City, born and raised and I'm saying this). 😊 We can't wait to go back!

Your video is quite informative and always look at the positive side that make it much more enjoyable to watch. This is one of the reason I am your subscriber. I hv been to Bandung several times since the 70's and just realized things i take for granted while visiting the city after watching your video. When you go back to SA, hope you would show people about beautiful Capetown. I have been there 2 years ago and very interesting for us Indonesians. Explored the history link between Indonesia and SA. Went to.Cape Malay, Visit Karamat Mosque and Macassar village (descendants of Macassarese people in Sulawesi island) outside Capetown. During the colonial era in 17th n 18th century those who opposed the VOC n The Dutch ruler here were sent to exile in Srilanka and South Africa. Their descendants called Malays and the famous South Sulawesi Muslim Imam Sheikh Yusuf ended up there where he built Karamat Mosque. Many more stories that connect the people of the two countries that many here do not know. I think with your way of travelling you can also meet the Imam of Macassar n all Indonesian/Malay descents there. Eventhough they do not speak Macassarese or Indonesian as they speak afrikaans n english but they still maintain some tradition n even in Cape Malay they would say tarima kasih for thank you. You can contact Indonesian Consulate General in Capetown for reference. Just my humble suggestion as your subscriber😊🙏 So looking forward to your other videos on your travel and adventure!

You should come to Bogor. A small city near Jakarta. And you can visit a botanical garden there. Where also near the Bogor presidential palace. And you can try a lot of delicious food😊
