Excellent review. I've ridden my Photon gravel bike for one year / 1000+miles. The torque sensing is seamless. It feels like I'm riding when I was 17 years old. I'm 58.
Great video team, be great to get some estimates of max range for the tested setup under race and street modes. Also wondering how responsive warranty issues are for the photon in the case. Can we return to your shop? Can we get replacements? and rough timings for warranty claims. Thank you
Thanks. We haven't had the chance to take the demo bike on an epic ride to max the range :( The way the battery was going it'd seem like we'd get around 80km-130kms however there are so much variables such as terrain, rider weight, electric assistance levels use and rider pedal input results would vary. In terms of warranty, CYC has this kit and its major components have a 2 year warranty. Read more about it here: www.cycmotor.com/refund-and-return-policy We so far have had no warranty issues/claims so far, but will take note of the processes if/when it arises.
Great video but one quick comment - if you could match the volume on the music sections that separate the portions of the video with the dialogue volume it would make the video A LOT more enjoyable to listen to and remove the need to ride the volume control while watching...
To which full suspension makes, models and frame sizes does this kit work best on so far? Also taking into account battery placement ideally inside the triangle. Trying to find that perfect bike if it’s out there.
This is a big question, the great advantage of this CYC Photon kit is you have a very wide range of battery options that would work. The joys of a custom conversion build is abit of research, a process of elimination and work. Result will be having a one-of-a-kind full suspension electric bike.
I have read several posts that the Photon easily overheats during long climbs in the summer, supposedly due to its compactness and poor cooling. How are you doing with this? Thank you.
@@ataksnajpera Of course we need to know the price. How are we going to make a decision on whether to even do a conversion or not let alone which conversion to do?
