Just so that you know, Mumbai has ALREADY banned these death trap Fiat yellow-black cabs. Also the law states the life limit of vehicle is 15 YEARS, not 35 Years. Kolkata cabs run by bribing the police and politicians. Its something shameful, not something to be proud off.
@@neil_XXX Next you will tell me that pissing on the street too is "local culture". Car safety laws and pollution control exist for a reason. These cabs don't even have air bags. Maybe you can petition govt. to get rid of air bags in all cars claiming "local culture".
Mohun Bagan supporter lied when he liked East Bengal jersey more that we do not play in the same league. Football club of Kolkata ❤️💛🔥Joy East Bengal🔥❤️💛
if you ever come back to Kolkata, please let me know! would love to show you guys around. I was born and raised in the heart of the city and I simply love it! Love you videos too!
Kolkata people are more chilled and more friendly. Mumbai folks are all business and always in a hurry. In fact, Kolkata now looks far more cleaner than Mumbai and that was certainly a surprise.
It was the capital of British India after all!! Honestly Kolkata or Calcutta was a great city in every aspect back in the 1800s. Business, culture, entertainment, politics, government everything. It has gone down in value a lot but God willing we shall revive once again!!
When I visited Kolkata I was surprised to see the 150 yrs old trams still working, even some of them have been transformed into AC trams preserving the vintage architecture. You should have taken a ride. It's a unique experience.
@@boiscooka232We are good at preserving old and adding new. We did not add new trum lines because they are vintage. We added metro, which is new. So yes, Kolkata knows how to take care of both old and new. Visit Bengal and experience it yourself.
The good part of kolkata is nobody will stare at u strangely, nobody will follow you ,nobody will annoy you as u r foreigner….. also kolkata is safest city of India for women for last 3 consecutive year
Kolkata is the newest "old" city in india. Created by the brits as a reflection of london. Neo-Gothic, Victorian and Indo-Saracenic architectural styles are only a few of the many architectural styles on display in the city. Maybe thats why you feel it to be so familiar. ❤
And also when you come for the next time I hope you can visit Darjeeling, kalingpong it's the hill station of west bengal. You'll surely enjoy stay in there also❤
Kolkata has two arch rivals in football Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. Mohun Bagan was established in British era 1889, they played with West Yorkshire and defeated them. East Bengal is the heart thob of Bengalis established in 1920.
Dear Alan & Shannon, Whenever you people come to Kolkata next, always buy stuffs from local shops having sign boards alongwith bills with GST, else you'll be fooled and duped. Don't buy anything from the street hawkers as they'll charge you 10-15 times higher prices than the original loca price seeing you as foreigners, plus the products could be low in quality, they'll not give you bills and you can't replace them at any cost once they're sold. They'll simply deny and argue with you and your time, energy and money will be wasted. Always try to get a local host, friend like the guy in the video whom you can trust 100% and he/she will guide you properly how to bargain with the local prices. It's my duty as a responsible citizen of Kolkata, India to guide you properly being our guests. Come and visit Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal, India every time to explore more beautiful people, places, food, art and culture, history, handicrafts etc. Wish you all the best for your next journey and awaiting your next visit to Kolkata...❤️❤️🤘🤘
Basically the boy was giving company to you guys, a MohanBagan fan, still you were about to choose East bengal one, which could have been better choice Joking enjoy your journey 🎉
The shoe repair guy has amazing skills were they any cleaner? Agree maybe haircut needed try something different a lot shorter maybe buzz top and super short and the back and sides will grow back anyway
Yea but the shoes had saw better days tbh and because of the material it was hard to clean them up. Definitely up for trying something different, I’ve had the same style for years now
Hello Welcome to Kolkata I am a local resident of Kolkata It would be great if i could meet you and help you in each and every possible way out in Kolkata.
You are bining the shoes after he so carefully worked at them - only because he asked for a bit extra which you would have tipped anyway? it's a lost art from and they work on the foota all day and you couldn't just be a little considerate. Just wow,
Local prices are for locals, impossible for us to get them We are happy with what we paid and got them and didn't want to penny pinch off them for a little amount of money
My friend husband went and had diarrhoea the whole week he was there. A cousin went with a team of 6 or 7 for a cycle tour for a few days, by the time they made it out they all had suffered from diarrhoea.
The first day of my trip to India, I had diarrhea from eating local food, and I had to pull for a few days in a row. I had to go back home early. The hygiene in India is terrible
I trust the blood type distribution map of the world and some following of videos from Peter D'Adamo of 'Eat right for your blood type' fame and Dr. Eric Berg's youtube channel to avoid certain foods even if they taste good, mostly i avoid milk based foods, all these even though I was born in Kolkata and had to drink undrinkable tubewell water during early part of my life and that had cost me lot of stomach problems. Hygiene could be an issue for white foreigners in India but i think diarrhoea is not result of the kind of unhygienic food you people are thinking of, most european affordable restaurants have clean interiors and kitchens though not to the level in your places, but more than that I think its mostly the choice of food and extreme weathers which would be affecting In India always buy bottled water ,preferably from Pepsi or Bisleri and avoid sweating out in the heat too much. Adjust timings to venture out during sunset or very early morning.
@27:40 that poor shoe washer give you some extra fitting to your shoe...that's why he asked for extra charge..that's nt scamming... Yo could gave him the money...dont know why foreigners always fear of scamming even though people give them right price.
We agree’d a price and he done more and wanted more If you were in a restaurant and ordered a meal and 6 extra plates came out and were on the bill, would you happily pay?
Cause people communicate on road by honking 😂😂India's traffic is literally busy af...but i'd say sometimes it's really annoying when someone honk unnecessarily beside your ear
Calcutta Street Food is - objectively - one of the best in the country; choosing to eat wings over getting a Kathi Roll from Nizam or a plate of Biryani from Aminia - made no sense.
We Indians wash our hands before eating with them. It's basic hygiene unlike Chicago where people are pooping in front of stores and then just walking away 🤢
@@sicilian-american dude you can't even spell properly. No wonder those Indian kids are winning the spelling bee competitions every year 😆. Ok, tell me how many genders are there?
Few days ago a male Indian vlogger was assaulted by chinese local he was telling in his video how police just casually ignored his complain by saying "maybe the man was feeling tempted and did the mistake"😂😂 that's your hospitality!!...he even bursted all the filthy scams your officials do to foreigners and all that food made with gutter oil..so i think china is also a filthy and unsafe place to visit
@@wearemariners1889 I know. There are no cows on the roads in Kolkata unlike other north Indian cities. Usually North Indian cities have more cows than the villages..😁
@@dr.s.mallick acctullay I think those are sub ars of north indian cities. Usually most Of the Delhi sub-arbs are over crowded lag of insfratructre and gutka chewinger.
