I can't believe that when I came to the Philippines I knew almost nobody here. 1 year later there is so much new friends and people who really truly want to take care of me. I'm so touched feel me so blessed and loved ❤️🤗

put the flowers (whether sampaguita, camia or dama de noche) inside your bag your bag will smell with natural fragrance or aroma for weeks check if it's turning brown before throwing the flowers to the trash

That flower is the sampaguita, its the national flower of the Philippines, usually we buy it and offer it to figurines like baby jesus, mama mary or any religious figures in our house.. Some put it in their cars or jeepney

Sampaguita leis were usually placed on celebrities' necks by their fans while they sang during the 70's. There are a lot of places to see in Metro Manila and its surrounding cities like the Ocean Park, Art in Island, Dessert Museum, Manila Zoo to name a few. I hope you and your children may see them too.

It’s jasmine flowers! we call it sampaguita, our national flower. Sometime they also come with ylang-ylang flowers and they go together very well. That one is usually intended as a car freshener (you may see that one hanging by the rear view mirrors of taxis), or as an offering to idols and statues.

I believe that flower is locally called Camia. Usually you put it on the neck of Saint figurines at the altar in your house as a sign of respect and devotion.

A lot of street vendors used to sell Sampaguita flowers but they were small tiny buds. So this might be ylang-ylang? Smells good as well. We usually hang it on our altar around the necks of the statuesbof saint or Mama Mary or the Sto. Niño (infant Jesus).

Yes, it's true. The Philippines does have earthquakes. Everyone has choices where they can stay. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer to live in our small home which is closer to the ground, although others do have different preferences.
