This is truly the best trailer I've ever seen, every minute is captivating, you're a genius! I have heard before that Nepal is the last piece of pure land on earth, and the place closest to heaven! I am very much looking forward to the next videos, and wish both you happy travels, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
Heyhey! We just got back from 8 days of hiking in the Nepali mountains and well what you heard is 100% right 😍👌. The small villages hidden away between the 8000m giants are to die for, so pure and captivating! And well surely we will soon also share this journey. But also thank you so much for the amazingly supportive comment. Although we are both extremely tired from the hike, then your words really lifted our spirits 😊. Best wishes from the Himalayas!
@@WildVikingTravels You are most welcome! I hope you feel better now, and look forward to watching the coming videos! And thanks for your nice words, it means a lot. Take good care of yourselves! Happy and safe travels! 👍🥰👌

Thank you so much for mentioning the traffic. I hope people can learn to fix all the wrong they do on the roads, listening to you. Have a nice time if you're still here!
Nepal has a unique geography diversity. It is divided into 3 parts: Terai, Hill and Mountain and each of them has their own unique characteristics. Love from Nepal ❤
Most of the folks from Terai are not Nepalese at all. They are Indians and shamelessly pose as Nepalese. I hope Nepal government deport them all and demands the returns of lost lands especially the entire Himalayan region which rightfully belongs to Nepal.
Have fun in Nepal, friends. It is a challenging place and first impressions are sometimes a bit misleading. Indeed, the roads are beyond belief. But thankfully, there's greatness, as you're experiencing, in this wonderful land. Hang in there, stay safe, and enjoy this special region of the world.
Heyhey😁! thanks for the kind words! Ohh sure we will stay safe and do our best to enjoy Nepal! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
Loved it. Thank you for keeping in your bucket list and actually making it to Nepal and showing as it is to the world without icing/cherry on the top! I hope we as Nepalis learn something, understand & accept our shortfalls and most importantly correct those out from this Nepal edition. 🙏🏽
I could totally relate to the difference you felt between the India and Nepal border just 5km apart. Nikhil and Pragyan ,so cute, made me feel proud as a Nepali. And regarding the road conditions it's so TRUE- " risking the life of others in traffic is never okay".Loved this video, can't wait for the other ones. I love Nepal, even when l get to see the mountains of northern side , the architect and heritages of Kathmandu regularly, still get awed by them. But yes so many things in Nepal are " unreal just unreal" in both ways good and bad.
Hard to believe but most Indians are proud that the country is now the most populous on the planet despite the degradation of the environment in so many ways.
Swagat chha Nepalma. Welcome to Nepal. I'm so looking forward to your travels through one of my favourite countries in the world (actually probably my favourite). My first impression in your video was: "Wow, this could be some adventure, a European traveler driving his own vehicle in Nepal" ! Over 50 years ago I travelled by ship from New Zealand to England and then travelled through Europe and North Arica in a VW van. During those travelling times I think I learned more about different people, life and cultures than at any time in my life. I first visited the amazing country of Nepal in 1982 and have returned many times since then - my last time was a 3 month stay, 2 months ago - my 9th visit. And I have to say I enjoyed it just as much this time as the first time. I'm planning my 10th visit in September next year. The roads in Nepal....ah yes...the roads...well some roads can hardly be called roads; more of an obstacle course, made to test even the most devout Buddhist monk's patience and tolerance. Over the years I've just learned to accept them as part of the whole Nepali experience and despite the discomfort often (but not always) experienced, I still love traveling those roads. At the moment so many of the main roads are being widened and upgraded and because of Nepali politics (and corruption) this is a very slow process...however, with the intense monsoon weather during June July and August every year many newly built and recently repaired roads are washed away in landslides, so I fear this will be an on-going problem for the foreseeable future. The traffic...omg...the traffic!! Part of the reason the roads are in such a bad condition today is because of the huge increase in traffic, especially freight trucks coming from and going to India and then travelling all over Nepal and tourist buses over the last 10 to 20 years. And imho, a big part of the reason the actual driving etiquette is so bad is because the driving rules are not enforced (again because of corruption) so it becomes a free-for-all with many people totally disregarding all the rules of common sense as well as the traffic rules. There are new, wider, safer roads being built all over Nepal at the moment (- yes you've already experienced this "work in progress"), and also a new railway system that will connect India to Tibet via Kathmandu and will also connect the far east to the far west of Nepal. But as I am now over 70 years old, I don't expect to see this completed in my lifetime! Looking forward to your future Nepal vlogs. Enjoy your upcoming trek and further travels and above all enjoy the beautiful, friendly, patient and honest Nepali people and their amazing culture. Subha yatri - Happy travels. 🙏 😊
Whoop whoop, another country, how exciting. The road network looks hectic in Nepal, but for us Aussies, at least they drive on the same side as us. Safe travels to you both, looking forward to your hiking content.
Heyhey. Thanks for the kind comment! We just got back from our hiking journey and are just totally exhausted 😅. Took us 8 days and we climbed up to 5416 meters but it was all well worth it. Anyways we will talk more of the journey in one of the next ones 👍 Hope you are well and feel like the kings of the world! Hugs!
The car that nearly hit u is not from nepal its indian car indians visit nepal and drive crazy like that u shoulf be aware of them they ride pretty rough and causes many accident daily in nepal
After watching a few of your videos... Liisu has the most amazing attitude to life I've ever seen. Well, you both seem like awesome people, to be fair. The adventures are fantastic and I wish you all the best in the future. Hope to see more!!
Heyhey😁! thanks for the kind words! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
First of all, Thank you for visiting Nepal and thank you for speaking out of minds of millions of Nepali people. Our corrupt government is so pathetic, they have no feelings and sympathy towards human's lives. They only care about pocket funding than building infrastructural work. Drive safe if you are driving in Nepal but overall Nepal is safe place. People here are humble and willing to help any foreigners with their last dimes in the pocket.
Heyhey😁! Sad to hear about the problems with corruption and I really hope it changes at one point... But thanks for the kind words! Ohh sure we will stay safe and do our best to enjoy Nepal! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
You are NOT a wimp or a snowflake, I`ve done it myself - driving in Nepal is a nightmare. Never again! I love my life to much to do that. Nepal is one of those places you can`t get if you don`t go there. Where did heaven begin? Have a nice time and don`t forget to breath up there ❤❤❤
OMG, I couldnt believe the traffic!!! You were saying that the traffic here in Turkey is hell but after Nepal experience I guess you dont think its true 🤣🤣🤣 I dont remember how many times I told you guys I love your videos and yes Joe, you are by far the BEST story teller I have ever met. And you know what; I am proud of it. I am proud to have such adventorus friends like you guys. I love the way you guys look at the world, I love to see you overcome all problems. Safe journey guys and Best of Regards from Mersin 🥰
Özden Abe! 😊 Man we can't wait to see you again! It is just a pleasure to have you traveling with us and to read your kind comments! Hahh and for sure we actually miss Turkish traffic A LOT! Yes it was a little busy at times, but at least people were following the rules and it didn't feel like we were in a war zone 😅😅. Anyway we are actually already planning to ship our van from India to Türkiye soon so hopefully it won't be too long till we meet again 😁 or well we will know this better in few weeks after we find out if China gives us a visa or not. Hugs from Nepal Joe and Liisu
Hi there. I like ur presentation, good luck for rest of the trips in Nepal @ 13:33 thats a indian plate car, hopefully that reminded you how dangerous traffic can be at times. Please drive safely and be safe mate. Namaste
Heyhey😁! thanks for the kind words! Ohh sure we will stay safe and do our best to enjoy Nepal! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
Hearty welcome to my country Nepal, I am so sorry for trouble you got in our highway because of road construction going on and it may take another 2,3 years. Anyway lots of love and best wishes, ❤ from Nepal....
Heyhey😁! thanks for the kind words! And don't be sorry, traffic is the only negative thing we have noticed in Nepal and it's just a part of it so for sure we will try to stay safe and do our best to enjoy Nepal! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
One important thing - in most cities including Kathmandu, unnecessary honking is punishable by a fine of over 500 rupees. So, it's much quieter and the environment also feels much more chill
Drone and Gopro are our main cameras, but we also have a sony a7r2 for close up shots but we barely use it. So 80 % of everything you see is done with a gopro. Because for me the best camera is the one you always have with you, and gopro literally fits in my pocket 😁
Truly helping others without any personal greed is the norm that most of the Nepalese have in them. Glad to hear that you experienced it! Never hesitate to ask for help to any Nepalese but yes, keep an eye out for some frauds who disguise themselves to be a helper.
Excellent words at the end(about the traffic rules and people ignoring at it best in nepal) thank you very much for visiting our country and you are always welcome!
Such a good video you guys. So happy that your still enjoying your travels and moving forward to your last destination Japan. I wish you safety and happiness because although it's exciting and interesting, it can't be easy at times. Take care.
Linda! We just got back from 8 days of hiking in the mountains and it so lovely to see you comment! Ohh for sure, we hope that we will make it to Japan after all, there is still some problems with the Chinese visa, but in few weeks we should have the final answer 😊, it would be so amazing to actually make it there. How have you been yourself? I bet England is quite pretty in this time of the year 😁. Even thinking about it makes us a bit home sich, but sure enough we know that soon enough we will be able to enjoy it ourselves 😀. Hugs!
@@WildVikingTravels There is no place like home and at the end of the day although it's exciting to travel off to far lands most of us get homesick and want to return back to our roots. Sometimes I want to sell up and leave but I know that eventually I would miss my own comforts and security. I think that it's great to travel and explore while your young but as we get older we like to settle down. The UK is wonderful at this time of year warm and blooming in colour, as your own country will be too. Unfortunately my health and mobility issues restrict me somewhat so I usually stay local but watching the world through you guys keeps me happy and informed. Thank you for posting your travels and sharing your experiences with all of us. x
Thank you so much for your visit to our country!! I hope its was good. Its true that we have so much in here: the cultures, religions, heritages, people... and I am sorry that you had terrible experience on roads!! it is being improved now a days. Keep visiting.... Love from Nepal🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
The two lads who helped you in currency exchange and sim deserve respect 🫶 . They know guests are another incarnation of gods . God bless you guys . Have a nice stay here
I trod that route 40 years ago this summer, perhaps not so much has changed? 'Birgunj', that is a name I have not heard for those intervening years. Did you too connect via Muzaffarpur? - The sense of exhaling on getting over the border seems not to have changed (until you go back down later of course). -- Wonderful vids, you're great adventurers with a thoughtful spirit. Plus I get to see on film some of the places I got to go to back when I was your age and feel the joy and wonder all over again :)
You guys accurately depict the road issues. Its one of the leading cause of casualties here. And i accept we nepali should follow traffic rules and be more patience on road.
Yeah Far better in Begging in front of India and China every year Whereas India which will be The 3rd largest economy by 2027 can’t compete with Nepal 😂😂😂😂. Keep begging Bahadur
The highways are on construction mode, i guess things will be little different in 4-5 years, You must visit Mustang when you are back. The highway road is being constructed and should be ready in 2-3 yrs.
You went through Bihar, which is where i live. This place is crazy even for Indians or for that matter even me, who has lived here all his life. It's sad but it is what it is. It's just different parts of India. I wish you had a local to explain how to navigate.
As a fellow Nepali I'm sorry that you guys feel threatened in the road ways especially on the curvy steep hills. The labour system compels drivers to prioritize time than anything even their lives or other for say its a deep dark side of social problems we hardly address but the coming generations will surely make some progress to easy every citizen or tourist alike and thank you for visiting out rugged homeland may the winds of fortune be kind to guide you back to these mountains once again and have a good day ahead P.S. I too would like to visit your country as well an innate desire, maybe of the aurora lights? who knows XD
Lived there in 1988, near Swayampur. To get to Phokara it took a day for 160 km, so you are good. Start with the trail up Annapurna and you will see a sign „Don’t change Nepal - let Nepal change you“ (just to remind you to never compare different countries) 😂
Driving on Nepali highways is very dangerous for foreigners. People overtake like crazy here. Since highway expansions are taking all over the country I hope this issue will be minimized soon. PS: 13:32 that white car trying to kill you is an Indian car.looks like he's having fun driving on nepali roads :D
Heyhey😁! thanks for the information, the roads really are quite rough so for sure we will try to stay safe and do our best to enjoy Nepal! We actually just finished uploading our next Nepali video, can't really belive how cool the southern part of your country is 😍👍
Hi,U R superb. Nice video. How about visiting East Nepal Taplejung, a nest of Gurkhas. And the local people in weekly bazaar enjoying their food, happiness and many more. Regards. Hoping 2 c u like that.
Love from a Nepali living in the United States. While I agree that Nepali people are generally very relaxed and easygoing, you cannot put all Indians in the same box. If you visit the mountainous states in northern India like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, things are also more relaxed. It's the same with southern Indian states like Kerala.
@@WildVikingTravels You said Nepali people are much more relaxed than Indians. Just saying that Indians in Himalayan states like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Sikkim, and southern states like Kerala, are also very relaxed than other Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, etc. on average.
Hey Joe and Liisu Tanfastik as usual. Beautiful Country Nepal 🇳🇵 if you were in Thailand 🇹🇭 you.saw Trucks n Buses play Chicken .. also... 🎶 Bob Seeger..Kathmandu. 😊😊😊 Stay Free and Safe Travels 🙏 ✨ 👌
Hey! I'm from Nepal and you made a small mistake there, 9:22 it is called nyatapolo and it is not in kathmandu but rather in the smallest city in Nepal, Bhaktaur. I live near there. By the way hope you enjoyed your stay in nepal. Nyatapolo holds much more secrets if looken closley at!
Lol only mountains and Sherpas?! Are you serious?? I mean a quick wikipedia search would tell you about the diversity of geography and people in Nepal. Just shows the extent of the effort the ‘travellers’ here are spending on getting to know the country they’re travelling to.
What do you know about Austria, France, Peru Or Guatemala? I am sure if you think about this question you will understand that people around the world don't not know almost anything about countries further away from their own. So please keep you negativity and insults to yourself before you ruin your countrys reputation in the eyes of the world.
That white car overtaking in 13:32 is an Indian car, that license plate is of India. Driving is not very systamized yet in Nepal, so if you want to not be stressed all the time i recommend you throw away all you know about driving in your country for the duration you are here, and first watch how other people are driving. Learn to find the method in the madness and it'll get lot less stressful rather than expecting all of the traffic to follow the system you are used to overnight. I suggest a lot of defensive driving of course and expect people to make mistakes often. The government we have is great in proactive measures and policies and systems but is shit in implementating them and we have to suffer the results. There is progress but it's slow. I want to wish you a good and adventurous journey while you're here 💯
