🔸NOTE: Model Compatibility🔸
I state in the video that you should be able to transfer your models from the T18SZ, T16IZ and new T26SZ to the T32MZ, however I have since been told they are not compatible, I'm yet to try it. The T18MZ however is meant to be compatible with the T32MZ... apparently.
🔸NOTE: Channel Support - just how many channels does it support?🔸
The T32MZ when it was first released was advertised as supporting 18 channels, and up to 32 if you use two MPDX-1 Multiprop Decoders. However in a later software update Futaba released support for FAASTest 26, which adds support for 26 channels natively.
From the manual: The multi prop function can be used by using the separately sold multi prop decoder MPDX-1. The multi prop function is a function that divides one channel into eight channels and extends the number of channels. Up to 2 MPDX-1s can be used, and up to 32 channels can be expanded as follows.
Linear channel 14 (2 channels are used by multi-prop function)
ON/OFF channel 2 channels
Multiprop channels 16 channels
Multiprop channels have the following differences from normal linear channels.
The resolution of the multi prop channel is lower than that of the linear channel
Operating multiple multiprop channels simultaneously may reduce the operation response of the multi prop channel
Multiprop channels can not use the mixing function

Oy, hehe. Sorry have to laugh about the design. Looks like the ones whe used back in the 90's. Only missing the telescopic antenna.

Been with Futaba for over 30 years & had all their high end radios. They refuse to keep up with what's really current. They make their product so complex to learn and operate so that after you've learned so much, it's really hard to want to switch to another brand, but I'm trying. Would love to move to Powerbox Core or maybe Jeti, just have so much invested in Fooltaba. However, being old school, I still like the Fooltaba look.

I started with Futaba and migrated away. For me, there are two big questions/concerns with the color screens -do they completely wash out in sunlight and are they viewable wirh polarized sunglasses. This is where the lower end touch screenradios fail, and also where traditional LCD screens do great. LCDs seem obsolete until you actually use them in sunlight. I also think a layout like Jeti where the main screen is above the gimbals makes it much more functional, even if the display is smaller. Thanks for thorough overview!

I just can’t get past the OS looking like something from the early 90s. I’d be really disappointed if I’d spent that sort of money on it. 😮. Thanks for the video though Matt 👍🏻

I bought and returned mine to Futaba USA last year because I was disappointed with the low quality display resolution! Bigger but no better or even worse then my T18SZH transmitter. How can DJI make the DJI Pro Controller with a high definition screen for a fraction of the price? Futaba should know better especially at $3000.00!!! Anyway this was when they had a large discount during the holidays - but it was still too much money and not enough wow to get me to buy it:(

The low resolution screen is really noticeable when you upload a picture of your model to it. Really pixelated and only supports 168x80 but will downscale from 640x480.

Matt about time you reviewed frsky more features and better than this for only 400 quid . Won’t look back if you do. On my turbines I get full telemetry on a screen of my own choosing. I loved futaba in the past but it’s way behind the times

Good observation. I would expect the battery to drain faster as it’s running Microsoft Windows although I’ve not tested it.

The cost for the 32 too substantial for minimal features. I would paying you to demonstrate the additional 14-channel feature that's available out of the box. Unfortunately I only see 18 channel available. For the cost it would be nice to have the stick data recording for play back to trouble shoot a crash. However, the TX to RX connectivity is quite solid😇

Futaba has always been expensive. I think part of the reason people buy them is just to brag how much they spent on one. I don't even know why I'm watching this video, I love my Radiomaster Boxer too much.
