In this episode we read from the 1838 book by Jospeh Pritts titled, "Incidents of Border Life," about the trial of a Delaware man named Mamachtaga for the murder of two white men, shortly after the end of the revolutionary war. This was the first time a Native American was tried in a U.S. court. The story also tells about several other related incidents during this time period.
