First Lite Beanie Review: Furnace, Origin, Tundra 

This is a review of three of the top beanies from First Lite for hunting ducks, deer, turkeys and more, their 350 Merino Wool Furnace Beanie, the Origin Beanie, and the new cold weather wind proof Tundra Beanie. Each of these hunting hats has different features and benefits for different weather and hunting styles. I share the pros and cons of each beanie, how well they insulate, manage moisture, and deal with wind and rain in the woods. First Lite make some high quality hunting gear and each of these beanies I reviewed comes with in wide variety of solid colors and camouflage patterns.

The Furnace is ideal for early season cool weather active hunts because it is thermally regulating and wicks moisture well, the Origin is good for cool weather still hunts because it is a little warmer and windproof but not as good for moisture management, and the Tundra is perfect for super cold late season hunts with lots of wind because it is a fleece lined soft shell brimmed beanie though it would be even better if paired with a balaclava or catalyst layer. These beanies compare favorably with many others from Sitka Gear and Kuiu but at less cost, similar to Cabela's but a little bit higher quality. #WaterfowlHunting #TurkeyHunting #deerhunting
