@@robertomeza5045 I can agree with that, but at least with a V8 there is more than enough infrastructure to get a combustion refueled. At least I won’t have to carry an extra 1500 lb. Battery on a trailer behind me because there are no places on the route I take to get my car recharged. With electric cars you have to factor in where are the recharge stations along the route. By the way how long does it take to fully recharge an electric car battery from depleted? I won’t own one before I leave this earth!
@@chrisw.7039 It absolutely has made maintenance substantially cheaper. An engine can have hundreds to thousands of moving parts, while at most an EV has a couple of dozen, at most. It can have as little as 6 or 7 moving parts. Though, I would agree the cost of an EV is fairly prohibitive, but there are decently cheap ones these days for a slightly older used EV. Or at least there was, but those have high demand these days, so it's hard to find. Personally I think people focus too much on internal combustion engine cars. An EV is better for most people who do not live in apartments or rural areas in almost every circumstance, but gas cars are not a massive contributor to climate change. It is industrial production, supply chains, and energy companies that are. Though, transitioning industry and energy to renewables, while it may be technologically possible and, for the United States at least, geographically possible, it is a massive investment that must be made by the government. You aren't going to get companies to make huge investments when their goal is profits, unless you either tax carbon so heavily that it makes it basically unprofitable to use it or have public investment in transitioning. I prefer public investment route, because then the US can leverage the infrastructure they made to produce the technology for the transition to control the renewables market for the globe.
honestly not bad as long as you aren't picking a muscle car sound for your Tesla lol. keep the sounds not too aggressive not to crazy and I think it's ok.
i think the way they install it can only work with electric vehicles because the whole thing is like a big computer, u cant just plug an electric exhaust into a normal car and have it work with the gas pedal, although that would be cool
Please please make my car sound like a Tron light cycle! How about an app that uses a phone's accelerometer and gyros to create real-time engine noise that, via Bluetooth, would play over the car's speakers? You wouldn't hear it outside the car, but to the driver and passengers it could be cool. Just an idea.
If it could replicate the sound of a 1993 5.0 Mustang with Flowmasters and turndowns I would put this on my Lightning. They always sounded the best even when they were losing to a Nissan Maxima.
I'm going to buy the GT and then add in. My question is there any info on app release. It's listed as unavailable on borlas site but other vendors are reselling . I have to have it but do want the app for the unique sounds added like tron etc
Nice because the worst thing about electric cars is the lame lack of sound those electric cars make as there going 0-100mph in like 4.5 seconds 😄👍 im a sign holder that gets very excited when I hear a good set of mufflers on a fast car or truck. Electric cars are going to ruin my excitement I get when I'm holding a sign for the Crackhouse Seafood And More restaurant or any of the other sign holding jobs I have and dance near the road holding or spinning a sign around. Loud mufflers for the win 👍
I want one for my Kona Ev 2023 on the street there are motorcycles that don't listen to me and people and I end up honking so they know I'm close and they understand it in a different way.

So how does this sound better than the Dodge eMuscle cars? Did Dodge just go cheap on the speakers? Seriously, maybe they should have contracted one of these companies to do it. Is it as good as the real thing? No, but it's better than silence or the Jetsons sounds or whatever that weird EV-ish V8 sound is the Dodge makes.
I think people are missing the point about performance sounds on a car (v8, v10, v12) etc. It's not just about the sound its about the EXPERIENCE of having an actual v8, v10, v12 engine and the sound being a byproduct of the engine's REAL performance. Fake sounds are just that FAKE, who the hell wants that? When you've come up with a way to produce cool sounds that are ACTUALLY real and reflective of an EV car's performance and function, then I'd be interested in knowing more. Putting cards on bicycle wheel spokes doesn't make it a motorcycle 🤦♂️. What's the fun or enjoyment in everyone's EV playing v8 sounds? Where's the uniqueness and individuality of car models and types? A world with all EV cars seems like its going to be quite boring, with little performance-based competition. Why would I buy an EV Ferrari over a Tesla if the Tesla ends up being cheaper, having similar performance, and being able to produce fake Ferrari sounds (not saying this is the case with Teslas, I'm just giving a hypothetical example)?
One word. LAME. Go drive your microwave. I’ll stick with my combustion. Lol It’s my same opinion on a sports car should have a stick shift. What fun is an automatic transmission sports car? Paddle shifting is also LAME. Lol I do not care if electric or auto’s are faster. I prefer real instead of fake noises. Milli Vanilli of cars.
