I LOVE these videos Jeremy does, they are such eye-candy. I live in Cumbria UK where it rains 10 months of the year (don’t get me wrong I love living here and experiencing all four seasons) but I appreciate seeing a completely different lifestyle presented in a non-superior way; Jeremy isn’t boasting about how he lives he’s just being himself and I could watch him all day. I actually started to drool when he was cutting that brisket🤤👏😁
DAANNNGGGGG!!! How am I just finding your channel now?!!! Smashed the sub and notification buttons and loving your channel. Awesome review, love it! So glad to be here and support. Thank you 👍
Just revisited this video as have been eyeing up a new smoker. Great content, as ever. Can’t believe I missed the best line on RU-vid the first time around though… “If you don’t like that, we can’t be friends.” Amen.
This is both an awesome grill and an awesome video. If RU-vid hands out awards for winning content and winning providers, this video should be right up there, in the running. It's worth the viewing. The grill? Man, I want one. Wow!
First off, awesome video/overview of a feature packed Traeger! Now, it's feature packed and there's no denying that it's a set it and forget it rig. But, I'm just not dropping $4k on that thing! I'm actually in the market for a good pellet smoker to go beside my stick burner for the days/weekdays where I can't tend the flame. This thing, while it looks pretty end all be all, just doesn't add enough value over the say $1k-$2k pellet smokers available. And that's a hard $2k jump to sell! Electronic temp control, overnight hoppers, Wi-Fi... those are all standard features now. There's gotta be a serious wow factor for that $2k hit and I'm just not seeing it with this Traeger. Now, if we had a blending hopper that could add x amount of maybe some Hickory from chamber A and then x amount of Applewood from chamber B in an user adjustable sequence, that would be the type of feature I'm wanting to see at this price point! Again, awesome video! Totally get this smoker isn't for everyone, I just value what each of my dollars does is all!
I can totally appreciate that opinion. It definitely holds a premium price. I will say though, there is an X factor that can’t be explained by features on paper. This thing cooks way better and pumps out more smoke flavor than any other pellet grill I’ve used. Also don’t think I’ve ever seen a smoker with an integrated induction burner and wireless probes. Both super handy. Still at that price it is definitely not gonna make sense for everyone. Just food for thought. Or brisket for thought…depending on how ya wanna look at it. 😂😜
I agree that this is a REALLY nice grill. IF you're looking for the max features AND price, the Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-fi with the Sidekick might be considered. For roughly $1,500 you can get a large pellet smoker (the 36 in model is pretty big) and the sidekick with griddle and bbq box. I've been enjoying reverse seared steaks and such for some time, all on one unit.
Ironwood 885 owner here. Appreciate your review of the Timberline XL. Like the lower cabinet and paper roller! That induction burner is a nice touch too!!! Saw those Meat Church seasonings! We love’m too!
Found your video because I am a new home owner wanting to check out grills, your production and attitude made me fall in love with your personality - but seeing how you're from Florida as well, that explains why I like you so much. You got yourself a new like, sub, and loyal follower. Thanks brother for the advice
My hardware store has one on the floor. I'm going to buy it purely bases on the strength of your honest enthusiasm and forthrightness'. Oh yeah,....subbed! Thanks!!!
U was in my new feed .. I clicked.. 1 part was funny 2.part u made some great points .. 3rd great to explain the grill... 4th u get a sub 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 u hit all the factors... I dont mind watching ..
Awesome video from start to finish! Love everything Traeger did on this grill and it’s pretty clear for those that might not want to drop the coin on this model that Traeger has some future grills that will feature a lot of these improvements at a price point that better suits those consumers. Good thing tax return season is here, I know what I’m spending my check on!
never seen this guy or channel before. I just clicked on it because I saw the Traeger. Then I saw the Chris Reeves knife. Man of good taste. Alright, I'll continue to watch. Then I noticed the "This is the way" shirt. Okay, I'll click the like button. Then he gave his full disclosure on his uninfluenced opinion. subscribed.
I retired 2 weeks ago and got one of these as a retirement gift from my work. Pretty nice of them although I haven't done a ton of smoking. Guess I'm about to... It is pretty heavy duty and appears well built and is a beast. The thing weighs 289 pounds. Hope all the electronics hold up, time will tell.
This is now on my list of items after I purchase a home. SOLD!! I think everyone would watch to see you dance, once! 😁 BTW, Traegar has paid to push their commercials to your channel. If that was your intent, congrats. Mission accomplished. 🙌🏼
Picked mine up yesterday while smokin a butt on my 8 yr old pit boss! Loved my boss but the family has grown and so have my cooking needs…that said today is burn in day and can’t wait for wife to wake up cus I don’t want to start without her! This is next level! As the guys loading it up said yesterday, as they were loading it one kid says to the other, this is how you know you made it!
I saw this the other day on Sam the Cooking Guy, but he only showed it off and cooked food. As is his thing. He didn''t show off the whole unboxing. Damn man. I need to get my cooking onto some RU-vid or something cause these things are dope! Thanks as always Jeremy!
Really enjoyed the video. Really nice grill. I've got a Camp Chef Woodwind Wi-fi with sidekick griddle and bbq box so, we've had most of the same functionality for some time now. With that said, hats off to Traeger for bringing it.
"Put that steak on top of your head. Your tounge will try and beat your brains out to get to it." First time I've heard that and I freaking love it 🤣. Will definitely be adding that to my saying list!
Baaaaaaaaadass as all hell, also this video quality is beyond exceptional recently, love Taylor but every time I watch one of your vids, I think back to in the podcast when he said his video production is superior to yours 😉
Thanks for the phenomenal content Jeremy, Really appreciate the in depth insight and dead honest review! Absolutely love it brother! I think my hearts set on this monster of a smoker now!
You put that steak on top of your head and your tongue will beat your brains out to get to it 😂😂😂 Love this channel how have I just found it. Great review thanks!!!!
Awesome video. Just got done building our room that was largely inspired by yours and spent about 5K on that…. Wife may kill me if I spent another 4K because of you!!! Lol. Good video none the less. Brisket looked amazing.
Looks nice and more heavy duty like a Yoder YS640S. Seems like they may have some takeaways from Yoder. I do like the high heat side burner nice touch. Still sticking with the Yoder its more of a competition style pit and made in the US with heavy steel on every part. Hats off to Traeger for stepping up their game.
I was about to buy IMO the best smoker ever Lone Star Grill smoker until I saw this review. LSG has almost all these features built in already but not as fancy trims. The induction burner is a game changer! LSG has a chrome valve ONLY as an ash oil dumpster with no way to put a bucket underneath. LSG has a real competitor now. Soooo, where’s the smole stack? Clean burning effectiveness?
Hit the nail on the head. A bit spendy. But amen Traeger, finally added some of the features folks want, and will keep them competing with all the others on the market. About time to see the Meater integration too!
What a beaut! I just snagged a IW 885 yesterday. Looking forward to my first smoke this weekend. I am use to smoking on a 18.5 WSM (modified to all hell 😂). Love that smoker but wanted to enter the pellet game.
Awesome video. Thank you. I am selling my house in VA and moving to FL. Now I’m seriously looking at taking some profit from the sale to get one of these bad boys! You convinced me! Duvaaaaal!
😩😩😩😩😩I just brought the timberline 1300 last year and love it. But man, I want this xl sooooo bad. But it would probably lead to divorce. Decisions decisions 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾. Traeger just killed the game with this grill.
Great video Jeremy!!! I love all the designs and features of this smoker! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these bad boys. I'm saving a place for it right on my patio! Living here in Michigan, I am just a little concerned with the screen and how cold tempuratures might affect it using it during winters, because winter will never ever stop me from smoking in the winter. Although I didn't drop my phone, but I did "drop" my desktop computer mounted to my desk, meaning I threw it against the wall, not really, but felt like I wanted to after hearing that price. Who am I kidding, it will still look amazing on my patio.
Awesome looking brisket! Are the fire pits behind you in the end of the video built-in or can you buy them? Those would match my yard perfectly. Thanks for the great content.
Great video Jeremy! Quick question - Do the pellets feed down the hopper evenly when cooking? With my Traeger now one side feeds down faster so the sensor for the pellets isn’t correct after a while without leveling the pellets in the hopper.
Yeah I get a little of that with all the pellet smokers I’ve had. The pellets kinda hang up on each other a little and won’t auto gravity feed. Didn’t notice this was any better or worse than others. That hopper dump port is waaaay better though 😉👍🏻
I purchased a Traeger way back in the day here in Oregon when they were made here in Oregon this thing is still going strong but thanks to your content I’m going to upgrade to this one. Keep up the good work, like the man shit vibe. U.S.M.C
they did a great job with features on this grill. i’d like to see a bigger hopper. also don’t knock scraping i do not foil my pellet grills let them season and scrape the crap off
First of all Meat Church is fantastic & a reminder I have to order more. Will add just because it fits Bearded Butchers has some good rubs have to support beared people. Its like cigars & brown liquor I have my favorites but also like to mix it up and try others. So I keep Meat Church & Bearded Butchers in stock but like to try others. As for the smoker think it's neat looking and has neat features, I did like your review. But honestly the price is what stops me and I do agree sometimes you get what you pay for but same token I honestly wonder how much is in the name. For me I been saying my next smoker will be pellet and I considered them higher end brand is RecTec their built like a tank, I do think Traeger makes great products mainly in higher priced ones, but do think their over hyped. I currently use a Char-griller Gravity 980 for money and features its fantastic charcoal smoker. Not to reference cgars again but there are some off brands or not well known that are like half the price, truly amazing, & just as good. Great content as usual
