Here's a quick rundown of the fighters if you want: -#2 Warpod: is a very strange heavy fighter that is heavier and slower then an ARC-170, but tougher and more specialized. It has a cutting laser that works at close range, but that can be used to cut through light, medium, or heavy armour as long as the enemy shields are down (this is why they worked so well against the Lictor you fought at Zygerria, as it has no shields). This makes it useful against any corvettes, frigates, cruisers, and capitals that can't successfully shoot it down. It also has two light laser turrets which are very much needed to keep fighters from picking apart these slow heavy fighters. -V-Wing Starfighter: this swarm interceptor is good at taking on fighters and bombers, due to it's high turn rate. However it's unable to damage larger units, and isn't very durable as it can die pretty quickly if the enemy manages to hit it. It's also an older interceptor, so it doesn't have the very high turn rate that newer interceptors have. -Pinook Starfighter: this fighter acts like the CSA version of the TIE fighter, it's weaker then the V-wing meaning it dies easily, isn't very fast or maneuverable, is lightly armed, but it comes in large squadrons and has flares to save it from missiles. It's best used to keep enemy fighters distracted and far away from your better fighters, and to overwhelm the enemy with numbers. -IRD-A Starfighter: These fighters are brittle, and their lasers can only deal with fighters or bombers (but debuff enemy fighter fire rate when they hit), but they make up for it with their cluster rockets (which hard counter interceptors). Just like the Black Sun's Cloakshape fighters, they have cluster rockets which only work at long range, only damage fighters and bombers, and take a bit of time to reload, but can decimate an enemy squadron before the enemy fighters can get into range, then using their high turn rate to mop up surviving enemy fighters. They are best used in hit and run attacks at long range so they can repeatedly bombard enemy fighters with their rockets as getting too close prevents the rockets from firing, while another fighter squadron keeps the enemy occupied and unable to chase the IRD squadron. -Planetary Defender Starfighter: A very strange interceptor. This fighter is the second or third fastest fighter or interceptor in the entire mod, making it very good at meeting and killing bombers before they reach their target, and then using its speed to escape. It has very long range missiles that weaken the damage of enemy ordinance, and it's lasers outrange most fighters. However, these fighters have a low turn rate so they will lose to most enemy fighters when they enter a dogfight (which is when their icon stacks in a row next to all the other fighters involved in the dogfight). They are good fighters that can debuff enemies, and can win most head to head attacks, but suffer greatly if they are caught in a dogfight in close range. -Skipray blastboat: a vulnerable but very powerful bomber, absolutely destroys capitals, cruisers and slow frigates, but needs protection as fighters, gunships, and screener ships will decimate them. It also has missile jammers which confuses the guidance any missile that could hit it. -ARC-170: a heavy fighter that is able to fight bombers, some fighters, heavy gunships, and corvettes with its Light Proton Torpedoes and heavy lasers. They can act as a budget scout fighter as it has an impressive sensor range. Fighters are a bit too fast for them, and while they aren't great at dealing damage to larger ships, they can bomb frigates, cruisers, and capitals if you need them to. They also have a laser on their tail that can somewhat protect them against enemy fighters. -Dimel Gunship: a gunship that's specifically designed to kill fighters, but isn't great against things larger then a gunship. It also has flares which can distract a few missiles. -Z-95: a cheap all rounder with missiles that weaken enemy fighters defense. These fighters can take on fighters, gunships, and corvettes, but aren't great at any specific thing. They're a "jack of all trades master of none" type of fighter.
