kinda wanna see the other side get super compact hard to detect mini-subs that maybe have a single torpedo, perhaps they can carry a modest number of passengers for inserting SF
@@SVASH-hz5jithat would be too op without wardens getting something too. I would say an item called a ‘life belt’ that goes in the radio slot and allows you to float (maybe just swim for longer) when not critically encumbered
I HAVE TAKEN A HUGE HAITUS FROM THIS GAME BUT I AM SO HYPED NOW :) I SPENT DAYS DRAFTING A RECOMENDATION FOR NAVY IN THE DISCORD SERVER AND THIS IS SO COOL!!! I was hoping that the turrets and stuff would be customizable, maybe that could come in the future :)
"He was made to rule the waves across the seven seas To lead the war machine To rule the waves and lead the Kriegsmarine The terror of the seas The Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine"
The fact that submarines have diving mechanics make me wonder if they'll also be adding blimps/airships at some point, using the same mechanic of changing height but just going up instead of going down. (I haven't played in a couple years so maybe they've already done this)
The submarine being Warden-exclusive is interesting, I understand some people being disappointed that Colonials don't get that experience but it does incentivise swapping teams between wars which might help with the enmity between the two, and Colonials still get a cool experience with the destroyer
Warden sub is barely able to take a battle barge in 1v1. Fun idea but its just bad execution. Colonials get way more bang for their mats with the destroyer cos its great multipurpose ship while the warden is just a one trick pony.
Good lord the lads at Siege Camp are serious ! The day the add a naval update, they add subs with a real functioning diving system, and they give destroyers the means to counter them ! In clear, a fully functioning gameplay loop. Someone give me their addresses so I can send them french pastries.
Yeah, though their decision to give only the Wardens a sub and only the Colonials a destroyer rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, as many Wardens were looking forward to using destroyers and many, many Colonials wanted to use submarines.
@sirboomsalot4902 yeah, but most likely, just like every new thing in Foxhole. They'll give these in the next small update to both sides. They first want to see how the gameplay loop works with actual players, who are gonna learn the ins and out of every mechanic.
And just like that, I have fallen in love with Foxhole again like I'm a gushing newbie. They brought Sea of Thieves to Foxhole, but so much extra too. I am in love already.
Really want to play this game more. Barely played so far. Mainly because of work and time constraints. (also my pc is currently dead but nvm^^) Foxhole just keeps getting better and better, I love it. Watching lots of videos about it.
More big regiment exclusive content. Id come back to the game in a heartbeat if I thought id ever get to try any of this as a solo/small regiment player.
they said on stream they have made this accessible for "small regiments", idk what is small in their wordings, but then again anything is possible if you have the time.
In the preview, we weren't able to lock them. I think the devs did this to make them a big group activity. These can always use extra loaders and repairers.
I hope these are atleast semi accessible to smaller to medium sized Regis. Something maybe equivalent to a BT or hopefully less. Otherwise ship combat would almost never happen as the ships would be to expensive to risk in combat and not worth the cost.
I think the battleships will be basically like super tanks. They will be built multiple times in the update war and after that you will see two of them if you are lucky. The subs and the destroyer will be cheaper i think but not tank level cheap.
The gunboats are making a return as well, with modest three man crews and a mortar that can presumably do a little trolling at sea and lend a hand at coastal support.
Navy is cool and awesome and all but it looks like such a hassle the clan men can handle... On the other hand, towed and self propelled artillery, fuck that's gonna change the balance
If they just added only sea oil fields i think better to add more cost to diesel refine in refinery or this additional fuel make no sense for game resources balance.
@@svme5921 could be done just like the submarines but in air instead of water, wouldn't be full maneuverability but would still be cool for bombers and what not
...how the hell anyone can feed enough resources to build and maintain them, considering how fucked the community right now? Still happy to see them, however.
tbh i know the warden bias was a joke but like idk it gets on my nerves that every big new tech is just cooler for wardens ie the super heavies and so forth
They said they wanted the warden ship to look like a WW2 ship and the Colonial one to look more modern I suppose, maybe it was intentionally not made green@@CreepyBanana
Possibly to reinforce that it's an ''engineering job'' instead of letting just about anyone constantly flip the engines around causing controling the ship itself to become a nightmare. At least now you know that only the people with wrenches can mess with the engines.
