Alexi just opened up a whole new market for Bering. They won't be able to make enough of these to keep up with demand. What a great work/fishing/family day boat. It meets the needs of all of those in one package.

She is a breakthrough in design and ride dynamics. The DP system is long over do. No need for costly stabilization system. Perfect size for many coastal operation in Alaska. She is tuff and small enough to trailer. Small beam means regular slip cost. Designed for cold water and the choppy conditions in Cook Inlet. She can go on the hard with ease. I love the design and wish that we could set up a building operation in Homer Alaska. Bay Welding is one of the top aluminum builder in this part of Alaska. Business is booming with a 4 year wait for one of the progressive aluminum cats. Carl Nostrand

Bare with me, another 3' beam and 4' length. And a very, very secret, well hidden weapons storage, compartment, airtight w/Febreze or Ozium shot when certain radio frequencies are detected. And panic button. Safety first. Long range, multi bladder fuel tanks fitted, smallest MTU multi-fuel oh yes! Small mast with crows. Huh? This is greatly designed for anything the Sea throws at her and ports of call also with my upgrades. Walk around with a stern anchor too. Super flippin' nice boat = endless adventure, fun, and in all weather, anywhere, any port. Just dreaming and you provided the boat. 🤔🏴‍☠

Yes, add six feet, increase fuel capacity and install two +300hp Yamarins with drives or jets. Big gasoline outboards can be fitted with chain and used as anchors when installing mooring buoys. You know this thing called "climate crisis"? No one can do everything but everyone can do something 👍🏼...

I'm wishing I had this boat back in my earlier days of fishing in Puget Sound. This boat is the perfect remedy for those cold early mornings when you're thinking about heading in after a couple fruitless, bone-numbing hours. At least you could go in, make some breakfast warm up and stick it out a little while longer. You wouldn't need more than the 300hp Yamahas, not looking for speed, more the opposite for trolling. The epitome of a great catch is tying into a salmon while standing on the "aft-sprit?"

Good job Yacht Buoy, the perfect little boat for my neck of the woods, the Sacramento Delta to the San Francisco Bay Area and up and down the California coast. I even think I could single hand this boat. Even though I was on a US Navy cruiser for two years I was a radarman and have almost no small boat handling experience. And as a former radarman, I agree, raise that radar up on a mast for better results.

I think it has alot of potential for fishing in Missouri where I am. But if you live near oceans an if you do crab fishing you can store the traps on top of roof, an put crab puller off the walls. Just put down non skid and tie downs on roof. The forward cabin down below, I have to admit I really wasn't a huge fan and it hurts me to say that about a Bering boat. Great speed and fuel per nm, that's a big plus today with fuel prices and the sea trials watching the water spray from under the front a forth of the way back. You know that boat has it where it should be and well thought out. Just needs a better cabin layout and please make more room for it if possible. I noticed that the kitchen table drops to make a small bed. But I don't think if you take 3 or 4 fishing buddies out for a over night due to lack of beds they will be to happy. But for a couple with a skinny guy or kid sleeping on the table, it's perfect for that. The helm, great layout with that seat, I didn't see anything I'd change an the protection for switches on right of steering wheel is nice to see. An great to see a port seat for extra set of eyes to sit for spotting hidden stuff under the water surface. The older I get the more I need extra set of good eyes to help me see things in the water. Growing up near the Mississippi river, you want a steel hull on your board. My buddy, his dad an uncle were coming back home and he was task with watching out for floating logs under the water surface and all of a suddened a huge tree trunk 30 plus feet long pops straight up from the muddy Mississippi water and barely missed punching a 3 foot diameter hole in the front of their boat and then it got sucked back down just as fast as it appeared an the prop found the top of the limbs of that huge tree and it bent a couple of their blades on prop. With it shaking bad they reduced the speed an finally got back but my buddy didn't ever want to be the bow look out after that night. They all seen that tree pop up and got sucked back under the water. I'm sure it wouldn't make much difference in the metal against a full size tree like that and it would have sunk the boat if it got hit by flipping boat over. Scares me to think about it and they was trying to get back before storm an flood got any worse. The Mississippi river and Alot of other big rivers like this around me here deserve full respect and I can see myself on this boat fishing that river just south of St Louis where the Missouri river adds to it. They have monster catfish right there and if you don't have 300lb test or better on your pole your line will snap, just saying. That river has huge fish and in past few years bull sharks are swimming up from the gulf of Mexico all the way to Chicago area. I love fishing for the big ones, an you truly need a fighting chair hard mounted to the back deck for when you get hooked up on one of the 600 lb monsters because they are there. An I appreciate seeing the 7 pole holders off the back upper roof deck. Sorry this is long but I had to add the Mississippi river story in because alot of us don't live close to any ocean but we sure have some great fishing in our big rivers and smaller ones too. Depends on weather an how far your willing to drive from your home, an how bad your wanting to fish. I've fished from an all aluminum boat with lightning hitting all around on the land. We were catching crappie so fast we was tossing them in the floor to cast again and bam got another one within only a few seconds. We had alot of people yelling at us to get off the water now. We stopped few minutes later to find out we got our limit and we only got there 30 minutes before that and half that time we spent getting to that spot. I Love Fishing, they always said I'd die holding one of my fishing poles in my hand and I hope they are right. Take care my fishing and boating brothers. Take care of each other and share the love.

I would love to see a 48 footer for cruising and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off thr Louisina coast or Alabama coast, fishing the oil rigs and camping nearby. Add in a Sea Keeper gyro stabilizer and Dynamic Positioning system to stay put in place without anchoring. Add a fly bridge dual steer and GPS, radar, fishing sonar and searchlight fish sonar. Flood lights to illuminate entire rear deck to allow night fishing with red LED option to save night vision. Maybe consider diesel outboards for better fuel efficiency for longer cruising. If I can afford a 48 footer, I can afford diesel outboards.

I notice that the engines are tilted toward one another at the top -- I've seen this on Hysucats before (smaller, perhaps 28' models). Does this change as the models get longer, or is this done for the same reasons it's done for the smaller versions? Why the change from fiberglass hulls to aluminum on this one? This one seems a bit barebones. Is that for weight savings or just because it's a first-hull sea trial version?

I was a little disappointed as I thought this was from the same company that makes the explorer yachts but still a cool, rugged and useful concept all the same. I could see these cutting into the likes of what the Scandinavians have to offer in their purpose built boats from Sargo, Botnia Targa and Nord Star to name a few. This one looks like it could use a bit more refinement in its materials but maybe thats what theyre going for. Bigger fridge would be better and the layout of the main cabin could have a little more thought put into it other than just a big mattress but thats just me. Otherwise I love the concept of the boat and the little platform out back between the motors as well as the catamaran styled hull. The most immediately obvious benefit of cats for leisure "cruising" boats, is they roll less at anchor and low/trolling speed. Easier to fish from, among other things, in any kind of sea.
@paulnorman8274
@paulnorman8274 Год назад
I think the Scandies will want water tanks, plumbing and appliances below, or close to it, the waterline, during winter. Cats; doubly so light, aluminium, ones; aren't really ideal for cold climates. I don't strictly think must-be-kept-clean foils are ideal in the marine growth sludge that is the Eastern Med/Turkey either.... But for Western Med, and Atlantic European use; I can totally see this having a niche. Water Temps and conditions (in Atlantic Europe) being closer to South Africa (Hysucats birthplace, unless I'm wrong), lends some credence to such suitability as well. The South African Cape is not a forgiving place for light boats.

its more speed boat and day cruiser then overnighter/weekender. 350 knot miles is fairly short range considering is speed. its pretty much 1 day of fuel so you are planning day trips between harbors. leaving one, traveling for a day, putting to port and refeuiling. when you compare this to something like a Nodic 35, same size, but not a fishing boat or speed boat, the nordices 600 knot at 8 knot cruising. Sure you may be only logging 100 miles a day... but thats 6 days of cruising up rivers before you need to refuel. This feels more like a hybread, looking to appeal to fishers, day cruisers, and speed boaters without really optimizing for any of them.

Could the BM34, be fitted with Electric Outboard Motors, plus rechargeable battery energy packs, replacing the fuel tanks, with maybe a backup diesel electric generator to recharge the battery energy packs. Though with Solar Electric Panels, equally recharging the battery energy packs, maybe a VAWT's to recharge the battery energy packs as well?

I am sure that Bering Marine would take a serious look at this configuration 🫡

Planing, foiling cats need to be kept light. 600HP diesel generators are anything but. Even in the Turkish summer sun, it would take about a year of solar charging per nautical mile to power this at 40 knots. Hybrid solutions, which allows for emissions/soot free travel within a certain range of "populated" shore, just about may make some sense for dirty-as-a-coal-mine commercial ships. But for already clean, modern leisure boats, faffing about with battery weirdness, is just a complete waste. ICEs are already efficient and clean burning, at the sort of constant, high'ish load common in marine application. Dense-city stop and go car traffic is a different matter. But for boats, just stop the madness already.

I have a neighbor who has developed a eco friendly outboard motor several sizes, knowing this. He has a pair on a similar boat actually three different styles, each boat goes way over 75knts ,an the treasure is,not a single drop of any kind oil base or alcohol base fuel was used,these motors are all green electric,no range limits can run at top speed continuously for days .we took these three boats out in the gulf of Mexico,we left upper Florida coast travelled non stop at 67 knots across gulf down Belize. Did some tests,stay for several days,an returned ,but this time straight across to Jamaica over to Dominican Republic ,up past Gitmo over to Florida keys east side past Miami,an past Hanover up to a canal with water lock. Went through them over to westside of Florida Tampa, Clearwater,an out to the gulf again up to our starting point just 11 days earlier. Wow 😲 . Only to find out recently from neighbor. Even that he created a game changer system,leave to our greedy bankers an government,they wanted prove of system and we did just that only be raided by our government officials demanding blueprints & designs an any video an equipment pertaining to the created system,but as I understand ,my neighbor was steps way ahead of them an moved all results and property to a secure location,with legal assistance.now understanding if his system come to the masses it will destroy many engine companies an oil industry hands down .this is why my neighbor quietly does everything,big shipping an yacht marinas an some boat companies, don't want this system out to the public.😮

My Nigerian neighbour developed the same thing. He just needs someone to transfer a million to his account, so he can get the blueprints for a boat which can go 75 knots forever, on no fuel. Anyone who would like such a boat, just needs to deposit a million in the Bank of San Ta Claus. :) :)

I'd rather have the OXE Hybrid 450 as soon as they are avaiable (with sharrow marine props) for more torque (horsepower is irrelevant unless you are racing), more range and the option to go in full electric mode in protected areas where others are simply not allowed...

Add railing, making it a walk around. That would make it better for fishing. Love the deck extension between motors. That makes it easier to keep fishing lines off the motors and props.

Bering is doubly hard: People used to expect substantially lower prices in Turkey, vs Netherlands etc. With Bering, that difference is not nearly as obvious anymore. OTOH, they seem to be developing a reputation for boats of pretty much "Dutch" quality as well. But still; it's often a bit of a slap in the face to realise you're no longer getting a boat for half the price of the top end Western yards.
