First Look at the New Garmin Livescope Plus from The Bass Tank 

The shaft mount looks exactly like the Lowrance ActiveTarget mount all the way down to the notches

Been using the livescope for over 3 years. Got the livescope plus this past week. The main difference in the two is depth and distance. I went to Hyco lake Thursday to try it out and easily picked up schools of bass over 135 feet from me. I didn't try to see further than that because there was so much boat traffic and it was fairly breezy that chasing them down further would have been difficult. But still - imagine sweeping left and right and covering over 275 feet and seeing every school CLEARLY ...also I went to Philpott Lake yesterday and tried it out on walleye. I went over submerged trees and easily saw every limb down to around 100 feet... No ghost, no shadows, just a clear picture... No other company offers anything even close.

Geez, my new LiveScope with LVS32 just arrived from Basspro, sitting on the table brand new in the box. I should have know when Garmin didn’t have stock and Basspro had plenty! Going fishing in 30 days, really sucks on timing, bad when you feel “stuck” with your brand new Garmin. Excited to try Livescope so need to forget about LVS34 and count my blessings to even be able to get it.

Do you have a side by side comparison of an LVS32 & LVS34? Curious of the size difference.

Love my livescope, but in terms of improvement, this is good, not great. If an A Rig is needed to illustrate the improvements, Im not sure the juice is worth the squeeze quite yet. The real test is going to be seeing improvement with basically anything other than an A Rig. Conditions are conditions. You get what get every time you put in. Also, hope the B Tank plans on having extra knob inventory on hand. Im sure there will be a market for replacements as many accidentally deposit theirs in the bottom of the lake.

I just bought my LVS32 from Russel Marine products and I haven’t even installed the transducer yet. (I’m waiting for a TM bracket). Sucks that they have a brand new unit out and I wasn’t informed. I would’ve bought the new one without hesitation. No brainer. Maybe that’s why Garmin was discounting the bundle, now that I think about it. I’m new and leery to using electronics bc South LA has mostly shallow water. So no need for elec.but LS seems like a game changer. .And the 34 seems to be more user friendly. (Having no blind spot and all). I know I should be happy with what I have, and I am. But It’s the feeling of being deceived, whether intentional or not that POs me. . We’ll see how RMP handles the situation.

When will it be available/in stock?

Do you think there will be a real difference between the 32 and the 34 because I rather think to buy a 32 the sounders are cheaper

What are the actual dimensions? Will it fit down a 8 inch hole?

People that don’t already have Livescope and are looking to buy 1 should be pumped but I don’t see that much of a upgrade if you have the LVS 32 to spend the money. I would wait because you know something better will be on its way in a year or 2.

A lot of talk about a ghost streak. It appears to a new user that perspective mode is new with the lvs34? Is this true? One comment indicates each mode requires a manual readjustment of the transducer? I agree. The screw will get lost in the first month. It's nice to know there may be improvements but talking about all the features would have been more helpful.

Hello Scott. PLEASE correct me if I am wrong but as I understand it, the new LSV34 Plus transducer for Livescope will not work on a standard ECHOMAP Plus 93SV with the GLS10 black box for Livescope. This is due to the fact that Garmin is no longer supporting Echomap Plus (standard) units or providing new software updates which is necessary in order to use the LSV34 Plus transducer even though it is compatible and would work if Garmin would release a software update for us guys that don't have the UHD, Ultra, or a GPSmap unit which is what is compatible and supported by Garmin. I purchased the combo package for $2,499.00 from The Bass Tank around May - 2019. I love my setup and really can't afford to purchase a Echomap UHD or Ultra just to be compatible and get software updates. There is nothing wrong with the unit that I have and I am very happy with it. Garmin has shot there self in the foot. I am a PLC programmer now for 25 years in the manufacturing and automation industry and I know it would be very easy to provide the software to us guys that have the standard Echomap Plus units, even if it is for nothing but the software upgrade that is necessary to use with the LSV34 transducer. Times are really tough and it's not going to get any better anytime soon. I'm not a Pro angler that have sponsors, just a weekend fisherman that loves to fish every chance I get. Thanks.... Bigger ducer is going to suck for ice fishing and trying to fish out of the same hole the ducers in. I'm going to hold off and keep my lvs 32

We need to see a crappie jig 1/6-1/8 at 60-70 feet that will be the test for us .

Will the LVS34 work with either the 93SV Echomap UHD or the 93SV Echomap plus?

Agree with the “meh” comments completely. Odd that you didn’t pick the camera up to show how bad the he wind was… the camera didn’t seem to be bouncing too much. Or even better waited a day or two for wind to calm down… at least found a protected cove. Hate to knock on posts, especially when someone is taking the time to provide content on my hobby but not overly impressed. None the less thank you for what you do @thebasstank. Recommendation: next time show us the better images and performance after you adjusted your settings and let us see the fish on the rock you spoke of when off the water.

So I have a 1022 will this transducer work with it? Or do I have to replace everything?

That bolt is going to loosen up and fall out just like the Lowrance mount.

Too bad I already have the lvs32 because they want $1200 just for the new unit and I'm not paying another $1200 just to make mine a little more crisp.

Does the new one still have perspective mode? That mount doesn't appear to rotate for that function.

Why don't they make a livescope transducer that you don't have to manually move back and forth to get all three modes. That's a upgrade. Save your 💰. Lsv32 works just fine. Guest it cost garmin to much money to put out free software updates. My 2 cent.

Hmm... I would love to know what's the actual difference between the 32 and 34. I understand the 34 is bigger, but why? I would love to see a teardown of the two transducers, wishful thinking. I realize this is a first look at the new product, but I'm having a hard time justifying the cost. I'm not seeing 1200 dollars of performance, IMO. Seems to me the changes they have here could and should have been in a software update.

I think the price on just the new transducer is a little to high. There a lot money already invested in the first livescope. For everyone that's been using them for years now and advertising them on Facebook and showing all our friends should get a better deal on the transducer.

basically your paying minimum 1200 dollars to fix garmins own problems but will still have some of the same problems. gonna be some disappointed people

Keep saying fighting the wind and how bad the wind is and there is barley a ripple on the water and no wind noise lol especially recording from your phone sort of weird. I want to see some more in depth side by sides before I order it
