One of the things I envy the most about not living in Canada 🍁 is the possibility to visit not just the fabric of the different goalie gear brands that work in Canada but to go to pro shops and try all the different brands. I can just rely on the review videos and what I can see 😢
I would check to see if you got the right size... the vaughns for this year seem to size bigger than in the past... I used to wear 35+2 vaughns and i just ordered a set of v10's, but this year i changed to 34+2.
@rickyveebee1846 it's possible. I'm in 34". I wanted to go shorter, but EVERYTHING said at my height, knee-to-floor, ankle-to-knee; I should be in 34" When I'm standing, it's exactly at my knee, and when I drop, my knee lands right on the landing. It's when I push side-side, my pad slips up my leg. Almost like the pads need a bootstrap...
@@goalietraining a bit. I found that if I wrap the ankle strap tighter, it helps, but I think I've solved it. I attach the knee landing strap to my knee guard, and it doesn't ride up at all.
They've come a long way with their pads, I am liking the look of these new SLr4s. However Vaughn is notorious for the velcro not sticking after being used. Anyone know if Vaughn has changed their velcro or they still using the same stuff they've been using for years?
I hope they've improved the velcro! That's been my main issue with both v9 sets I have. I often need to re-strap my velcro at the whistles. Was disappointed to see them adding even more velcro. I really like the previous magnetic closure for the RRC strap.
