I've had my Ruger 1911 CMD since 2019 and I LOVE IT. Has functioned well with several types of ammunition. Have NO complaints. I LOVE RUGERS. On several pistols from .22 LR to .44 Mag
Ruger does do great job with their guns. I had an issue with my full size rear sight. It dropped a white dot out before I even shot it. But ruger made it right and got me a new sight quickly
I am looking at the regular one vs the commander. I will buy both at some point but I’m in the middle about which one I want to buy first, you just pushed me more towards the commander. Thanks!
They are great guns. If I only could have one I’d honestly look at the commander as it’s is a little better balanced in hand to me but the tried and true government size is good to go as well. That being said I have way more government lengths than I do commander sized
I have the full size all stainless and the Commander size with the aluminum alloy frame. But now that I watched this video I think I'll get the all stainless Commander too. BTW, I also have the lightweight Commander SR1911 in 9mm. I've had lots of reliability issues with this 9mm version. It's currently back at the Ruger factory for the 2nd time. Despite these issues, I believe in the Ruger product line and I'm confident that this firearm can be made reliable. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll send me a whole new gun. 🤷
Too bad about the 9mm, was it ftf or fte. I wouldn’t doubt they would send you a new gun if it persists. My brother had issues with a ruger American 450 rifle, it went back 3 times and they sent him a ruger scout. Hawkeye. Hell of an upgrade for the inconvenience
